Took them twice as long to move. They quoted me also to donate a ton of furniture. They decided last minute thar they couldn't do it. Had to call a junk removal company to take furniture and rest of stuff away. They by l just threw everything into my garage all the way to ceiling without sorting stuff like bathroom and kitchen. I'm still trying to find my bathroom stuff. Not happy at all with move. Now that I've been in my house and have unpacked and gone through boxes, I'm noticing I'm missing boxes, my pillows and part of my piano. I don't have my heavy duty extention chords and decorations for holidays. I found fridge food stuck behind boxes in my garage. Just total chaos looking for things.

While the crew was friendly and polite, their inexperience resulted in several damages to our property. We contacted Bobby the day of the move, he assured us he would have his fabric specialist contact us re: the dirt/grease stains on our year-old mattress. There were 5 other items damaged, including a brand new fridge that had dents & scratches on the front. He took $130 off our total bill & based on our previous experience with him, we paid him, with his assurance someone would contact us. It's been over 2 weeks & we STILL haven't heard from anyone. We've left several messages for Bobby, texted him, & sent 2 emails with absolutely no response. Not ok to ghost a customer. Marty, the sales guy, was good, followed up and returned my calls quickly…read more They did not charge extra for moving a piano, or for using shrink wrap, which put them over and above other moving companies I called. Marty recommended getting 120 pads from the truck rental company, and now I know why: if it isn't boxed or wrapped, it will end up damaged somehow. I did not get 120 pads because 1) the truck rental person I spoke with did not agree that I needed that many and 2) it costs quite a bit which I had to pay up front. It wasn't like I could just take as many as I thought I'd need and return the ones I didn't use for no charge. No, my card would have been charged and then refunded later, but who wants that hassle? So, you should probably pony up for all those pads if you decide to use this company. The movers weren't bad guys, but, I think they were in a hurry and a little careless. Our refrigerator, dining table chairs, my hope chest, and TV were all damaged either with scratches or, in the case of my hope chest and TV, broken parts. We had 3 movers and the last 2 of the 4 hours they were at our house, the third guy was mostly standing around. But, kudos to Move For Less, when we told them that was the case, they charged us the 2-man rate for 2 hours instead of the 3-man rate. Additionally, we knew the TV was broken before they left, and broken by their guys. The guys called the main office to tell them, and the management offered to give us another TV. While that was a nice gesture, we were leaving the state the next morning, and it was 7pm. We did not have time to go and pick up a TV. We would have just preferred a price reduction. So, all in all, they were okay. I thought their pricing was fair and competitive. I thought the charge for the 2-man rate was a good solution. But, I am pretty sad that our things ended up damaged in small ways. And, I think the packing of the truck could have been done better so as to prevent those small damages.

Then they refused to open the truck with our belongings and handed me their phone to talk to John who told me we needed to Zelle him $1,400 (pay upfront more than double the quote) to have them open the truck and finish the move. Icing on the cake- they broke our brand new black&decker air conditioner after dropping it while moving it out of the truck. The guy, Chris, insisted it was only scratched and not internally damaged and refused to pay for it. Also, the other mover had the nerve to call me a couple days later and complained that we didn't tip them.

At the end of the move the only thing that was packed well was my china. This was done by Chris. Many of the boxes were marked miscellaneous which doesn't reflect any of the items in the box. At the end of the move I discovered I was missing my antique silverware in a silverware chest. Not only is this a very expensive item but it was a memory from my parents 25th wedding anniversary dated 1947. I will say that 3 days after the move, Chris came to the house and opened every box, everything in the house, every piece of packing paper only to determine that the item was not in the house. This is now several days later and I have not heard from the company about any kind of settlement....nothing. Further I have tried calling them and only get a transfer to voicemail. Am I unhappy, yes. Am I angry, yes. Am I disappointed in the lack of concern shown by a company I trusted with my personal and cherished items. Would I trust them again. Never. Just a word of warning.
