Where to start. I had four drive up storage units at this place for my business. It was a different experience each time I went to the storage units. Saw people doing drugs, leave trash, and even seem like people were living out of their vehicles inside of the storage facility. Had each my units go up in price by more than 25% over the course of my time while I was there. More recently after one of the few storms we had here in Orange County this year all 4 of my units had water get into them. Two of them having damage furniture that was being stored. Lost a few thousand dollars worth of furniture. Which the insurance you pay addition for decided that it wasn't covered and had my claim denied. I would not recommend anyone storing with this company or location unless you want your items to be damaged and not be covered by the horrible insurance they provide. Would give zero stars if that was an option. read more

We first got a unit to keep our stuff somewhere before we move to another state. Furniture and personal items mostly. They recently replaced all of the doors so that looks nice... but the inside of the units are horrific. There are holes in the walls, stains on the concrete. The best part was the mold we discovered as we were moving everything out of the unit. Our furniture had mold on it from the back corner wall of the unit. The whole unit smelt musty and felt damp (hasn't rained in over a week). We didn't have any liquids or anything that would have accelerated the mold growth fyi Also, they raised the rent 20% after 6 months of renting it. Started renting in March 2023 and moved out February 2024. Less than a year. Don't recommend this place. Spend the extra money and get a nicer place. Don't cheap out like we did if you care about your stuff. We know for the future to not leave stuff shoved in the back of a storage unit. Can't trust that they're not going to leak. read more

How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. I've been here for 1 year and have had my unit broken into THREE TIMES! I've tried using different locks, even multiple locks this last time. They have cameras monitoring every angle but somehow are never able to catch anybody on them. Not to mention the first break in there were at least 43 units broken into and stolen from. How were you not able to find footage of that. When I asked to be moved closer to the front office after the second break in I was scoffed at by a male employee and told I'd have to pay more for those. This time I asked for corporates phone number and they asked me why. I was only given the district managers number and was told they don't have the number for corporate. I have now called and left a voicemail but haven't heard back. The police also told me this time, that they get the most reports of theft and break ins at this storage facility than any other one in Westminster and Huntington Beach. Side note, they were still open for an hour after they called me yesterday about the break in and have yet to replace the hardware on the door so my unit is currently just open to the public. If you don't care about your personal belongings being stolen, trampled, gone through, stepped on and thrown around about once every 4 months than this is the place for you. But if you do, the police officer told me he has never been called to the Lighthouse self storage off of beach and hazard in Westminster. 1 star because it won't let me give it 0. read more

I bought a storage unit that a renter had consolidated "junk". She rents another 2 or 3 units there. When I went to pickup, she was there wanting to get a few more items that she forgot to get out. Beings that she wanted more items, I "paid" them to empty their own unit. So, I paid $50 for the unit, then another $200 for them to clean it out. I am OUT $250. The storage company didn't like what happened and reported me to get my account suspended. I have bought from this location many times before and spend thousands on storage units yearly. I thought this location was nice, but it turns out, that they are nasty. They set me up for a loss, then reported me. They should be the ones reported. Spoke to Dolly to resolve this, and she was very rude and avengful. I was setup by her. On top if that, I lost $250. Does she care? No.... Very Rude lady. I would avoid this place. Much nicer and better people to deal with out there. Don't waste your time. read more

Dolly and Ernesto were wonderful to deal with. They showed me multiple options and each met with my needs. The price offered was great and the location is secure. The overall condition of the facility is clean. I'm happy to do business with them. If you're in the military, mention it as they do have special military pricing. read more

First off, the staff is great at the Westminster location. Always friendly and they once called me when I accidentally left something behind and secured the item. How cool is that? The company though... Cube Smart just raised my rent. Not $25, or $50... but $100!!! This the second increase in a little more than a year. Piss off, I'm outta here. Started packing my stuff immediately. They will NEVER get any business from me or anyone I know, ever. We've had a unit here for a little over a month now and like many others have said, Miss Dolly is the best!! She is SO kind and hard working! Cubesmart is so lucky to have her as an employee. She does an amazing job keeping the units clean and always keeps an eye out for everyone's things. Our unit along with about 36 other, were broken into the same night. Security lives on property and claims they hadn't drove around the storage that night. Security footage was not reviewed by them until the next day because "they hadn't had time". Avoid this storage and if you already have items here, keep an eye out and keep track of anything you see missing. I only had my stuff here two months and already got robbed. read more

This storage pricing is competitive but the staffing is what makes me stay and pay for a year in advance. They assisted with ANYTHING I needed. They have a truck that you can use for 4 hours for only $10 and are lenient on time as long as they don't have any other bookings for that day. Dolly was great when it came to the paperwork and truck rental. Ernest went above and beyond and noticed me having a hard time and offered a dolly cart to assist. Another day when it was really hot Ernest noticed my wife and I working for a while in the unit and came back with 3 cold waters since we didn't have any! If you are to pick any storage unit I HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving them a call FIRST! read more

Other storage facilities are better than this place. The storage units are a bit run down. Part of my wall caved in and apparently some of belongings went missing. The staff are wonderful and helpful. I have no issues with them. Monthly rates can go up without notice which is not a good thing. read more

I've been a customer at The CubeSmart on Maple in Westminster for many years. Everything is always clean and maintained. When you have several units as I do you must rely on clean safe conditions. Dolly makes sure of that. The Office and Facility are always kept up tidy to beyond expectations. I have made several long lasting friendships in this facility as well. Our storage unit was broken into here. The storage unit lock was picked. When we tried calling the manager to meet us at the unit it took us to this long recording message where I had to listen to several directions. I finally got to the option to speak to the manager where I got a voice recording saying she was assisting other customers or it was after business hours (note it was 2:30pm and as we drove up we sAw her inside). So after I tried again we just drove over to her office where she was just sitting on the computer listening to music. As we told her the unit was broken into, she simply shrugged her shoulders and said "oh okay." Now I don't know if maybe this is common for her to hear or what but she showed no ounce of sympathy or worry about security. Alright so we go back to the storage unit where she tells us about insurance and a police report. I ask about the video and being able to get a clear picture of whoever did this. She said we cannot view it because that person has rights (HAH that person breaking into MY storage unit has a right to privacy). Not like I'm going to confront this bastard we just wanted to know if it was worth filing a police report. But anyways she says we have to file and then the police will ask for the tapes. Bottom line bull shit security. Great for leaving bigger furniture items however I wouldn't place anything with value in these units. read more
