Dr. Joseph Cucci is a great and friendly chiropractor. I came to him for a foot injury that was becoming unbearable and making my life difficult. Less than 10 minutes with his expertise provided immediate relief. Within a couple of days, all the pain I had was totally gone. As someone who walks 5-10 miles per day, this treatment was truly invaluable. He then gave me a quick full body adjustment after. I was shocked that I felt lighter and was thinking clearer. He has a great health philosophy that I thought was unique and insightful. Furthermore, he was very accommodating by taking a same day appointment for me. I've only had four sessions with Dr. Cucci but as far as I'm concerned the man is a miracle worker. When my neck first started hurting I thought that maybe I had some kind of injury from exercise but when it spread to my shoulder and arm and hand even after I stopped exercising I knew I had to see my doctor. My primary care physician sent me for an MRI which did show some nerve impingement but he didn't think it was bad enough to recommend surgery and neither of us wanted to start down the road of constant painkillers. My problem had been going on longer than I realized and I was looking forward to non-ending pain if I did nothing. It was my doctor that suggested a chiropractor might be able to help. I was very impressed by how nice and helpful Lisa was before I even got to the office. Both she and Dr. Cucci are VERY personable and it went a long way to assuaging my anxiety. I love that Dr. Cucci took the time to listen and then thoroughly explain everything, both before and during the treatment. He's got a fantastic bedside manner. These are people who care about the patients and the practice. I didn't expect much after the first session but I was pleasantly surprised that I could raise my arm again after only one visit. I also started sleeping better right away because I wasn't waking up every time I moved my arm or neck. He always asks about the progress and where things are hurting before he starts working on me and with every subsequent visit I have found myself with less and less pain and more range of movement again. I've been seeing Dr. Cucci for years and he always works hard to help me feel better. We first met after I was in a pretty serious car accident with head and neck injuries and I saw him regularly along with pt to get back to normal. They're always accommodating with scheduling and all of my preferences for adjustments. Pretty standard chiropractic experience, but certainly goes above and beyond to try to get things moving, providing a stretch or pressure point release, or traction as needed. Much more friendly than most businesses these days and I love that it's a family owned business and his wife works along side him. She always offers me to "roll" beforehand which is both heavenly, and helps to relax tense muscles before an adjustment. My husband and I are new to NYC and have been going to a Chiropractor for years. I was in search of a new Chiropractor and read several reviews, some good some bad. I made an appointment at Dr. Cucci's and they got me in same day. My first impression wasn't a very good one. Dr. Cucci gave him his speech on what Chiropractic is, after I had explained I had been going to a Chiropractor for years. He asked me questions and then rudely interrupted each time I tried to answer him. He wanted to do an X-ray which I declined. I explained I came in for a routine adjustment for neck & back pain from being on the computer for my job. I didn't feel an X-ray was necessary. He seemed very rude after I expressed that I didn't want to have an X-ray. He actually seemed annoyed that I declined. He spoke very quickly and seemed a little condescending. Not a very good bedside manner in my opinion. His adjustments on me where very harsh and abrupt. I felt like he was going to break my neck. I have never have experienced this type of Chiropractor care in my life and I am 48. After his quick adjustment, he asked if my pain I had come in with felt better. It did not. Then I asked him what it could be? He said he didn't know because I didn't allow him to do an X-ray, he then proceeded the tell me I probably have scoliosis! What?! I DO NOT have scoliosis! Crazy response. My pain after my adjustment is actually worse. I can't believe I paid $150 to feel worse. After my visit I developed a headache and neck pain. I don't usually post comment reviews, but I hope this helps if you are looking for a good Chiropractor, DO NOT go to Dr. Cucci. read more

I moved to NYC this year and went to Dr Cucci because of the reviews on Yelp. I have gone to chiropractors off and on for almost 30 years. I lived in Los Angeles and tried over a dozen chiropractors during those years. Dr Cucci is the best chiropractor I have seen. If you want to actually recover, he is the man! I have been living with chronic, persistent neck and upper back pain for years. Chiropractic was the only thing that helped, but I did not recover until Dr Cucci. Through regular seasons with Dr Cucci the correct curve in my neck returned and I am basically pain free. While other chiropractors provide relief, Dr Cucci produces results. I have heard various approaches and experienced different results. Dr Cucci brings a rational, balanced approach to chiropractic medicine. As I'm looking for chiropractor options for a recent accident, I was hoping to come back to see Dr. Cucci, as he was an amazing doctor but his front desk team are unmanageable to deal with. Anything past the initial sign up and paperwork was a delight, however I do recall having high discomfort when dealing with one gentleman Fred. It's a shame to see this business is tanking due to shady staff. Would rate 1 star for new patients, but if you've been before or currently attending this would be a great location to stay at because of the doctors. read more

Long story short, by shoulder had been hurting like crazy since August of 2020. That's eight months of pain!! After only TWO VISITS, my shoulder is completely back to normal. Seeing a chiropractor during the whole ~work-from-home~ thing is absolutely essential, but Dr. Cucci is has completely changed the way my body feels. Dr. Cucci is amazing. It's the first time I've actually felt a change from getting an adjustment. My brother found him, who had hip problems, and I went for my neck and back. My brother felt relief after two visits which made me think I should go. He's extremely thorough - they take your X-rays, and go over them to explain what's going on. It turns out I have scoliosis which is why all of my previous efforts to relieve muscle tension and neck pain never lasted (I have been getting acupuncture for the last 3 years with on and off consistency and tried a chiropractor several times a week as well.) I've had four adjustments and can feel the difference already and also see them - under-eye circles are way less dark which means my circulation (aka entry) is improving! I was shocked at how he did the adjustment on me when my neck was in a damaged state. He risked my life. I was paralyzed after being treated by him with life threatening pains. He is lucky I did not decide to take this to court. He saw how much damage I had and stated it won't hurt me but I could not sleep or move for days because of excruciating /paralyzing pain. read more

I urge you not to see this "doctor" who envisions himself as a spiritual healer, but is incapable of listening to you. He is an extreme narcissist. I was referred to him by Dr. Shoshany, who is listed as one of the best chiropractic practitioners in New York. I immediately asked Joseph Cucci to please tell me everything he was planning to do prior to administration--but he was not listening--too busy asking me to write him a good review. I came in for a distorted coccyx with an MRI that was done at one of the leading hospitals in Boston. He barely glanced at my MRI, and uttered "EW"--a sophisticated response to one's MRI and waved me off, stating, "I can definitely help you!" Since my adjustment (two neck adjustments that I didn't authorize), I am experiencing horrific headaches, nausea--I threw up and still have not talked directly to the "doctor," as well as horrific pain on my left pectoral muscle that he worked on. When I told him that I was nervous about the neck adjustments and that my internist in Boston, who teaches at Harvard, requested that I do not undergo the neck adjustment; he was defensive and irate and called my doctor an "idiot." He said that she would have cured me in the last five years if she knew anything--again speaking without listening to my narrative. He lectured me, feigned to be a spiritual healer--performed reiki on me, pontificating about my energy--and at the end of our visit he told me he loved me. Please avoid--I am wondering if I will land up having a stroke as a result of our visit. At my first appointment he took x-rays of my hips, spine and, neck then thoroughly explained why I am having headaches, discomfort, and even why I "naturally" lean to the left.
