Within two minutes, after confirming the recipient would not be home until much later, I immediately called back and asked to change the delivery to store pickup so the edible arrangement would not be left outside for hours. At 11:36 a.m., I was told it was too late because the delivery had already been completed and the driver was not on that side of town . As a result, a perishable edible arrangement was knowingly left outside for hours, and I now have to make a separate trip to retrieve it myself. What I don't understand is how store pickup was an option at 11:30 a.m., but six minutes later it could no longer be accommodated because the driver was supposedly no longer on that side of town. To make matters worse, the driver's follow-up messages were defensive and unprofessional. Very disappointing service, especially after paying for delivery and leaving a tip.
