They cleared out "the party room" and gave us our own space. Also, it's BYOB and Specs is 3 doors down.. so we got a few beverages before beginning. The owner of this establishment, Lottie, is a former teacher and she really enjoys taking the time to help you pick the right colors and learn the techniques and understand the process. As a group we decided to draw names out of a hat and paint a mug for the name we drew. Good times. Each piece was under $20 and we were there for 3 hours painting. Honestly, it's one of the more inexpensive excursions a group of adults can do and being able to take something hand painted home from the day is a beautiful reminder of a moment of time. We never felt rushed to leave and any questions we had were answered immediately and in a way we could understand. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.

We came in during the evening time and stayed till a little past closing to finish our pieces, and Mark was absolutely amazing and so patient in helping us wrap up and clean up. I have been to other pottery painting places in the past, but this place by far has the best selection of items at a super reasonable price range. I found multiple items that I would've wanted to paint and take home. During the time there, Mark made sure that our group was well taken care of, understood the use of the brushes and tools, and shared fun stories and jokes while passing by us every once in a while. With the music in the background and the colorful walls surrounding you, this is a great space to channel your artistic talents and have a good time away from the hustle and bustle of life.

They have large items too, such as sleighs, artificial trees, and shopping mall quality vibrant statues/characters/displays. Most things are well-priced, however the large unique items will cost you much more than most of us will want to pay. Would I compare this place to the decorators warehouse up in Arlington/DFW?--absolutely. Both are awesome for Christmas decor.

I went looking for Mardi Gras stuff but was blown away by the extensive collection of cookbooks and design books that they sell, all discounted from retail list prices. But there was much much more. In my opinion, these kind of experience-based services should prioritize offering sublime customer service but this missed the mark for us. It doesn't make a lot of sense to take down our information just for us to have to actively follow up to get confirmation to pick up products we already paid for. I was in the area for my birthday and she gave us suggestions on what else we could get into while we were there. They also had shoes, hello kitty and larger bears to paint. The process is very personal so that took some getting used to but I found that to be the most enjoyable about it. You get one hour to decorate your bear and if you're local you have a few days to pick it up once it dries. Our bears were $85 and shipping was $15. The delivery was smooth and my baby made it to me without any issues. I named her Fern :-). I'd definitely recommend this as a fun activity that's not liquor or food focused. Parking was a bit hectic but we were able to find something right outside. The area itself is walkable with lots of shops and places to eat surrounding it also.

It was my first visit, and exploring Houston's Chinatown at night just adds to the vibe. Bright lights, great energy, and cool little places like this tucked into plazas. We came mainly for the claw machines, and they definitely delivered. These aren't your usual scammy machines where you walk away empty-handed and annoyed. The win rates here are actually decent. We saw a bunch of people pulling out prizes, and we managed to win a few cute plushies ourselves. There's a wide variety of machines too, with everything from small trinkets to giant stuffed animals. This place could be a fun date spot if you're both a little playful or competitive, but honestly it's perfect for kids. The atmosphere is light and casual, and there's plenty to keep them entertained. One thing I didn't totally get was the "tufting" part of the name. After looking online it looks like you can do rug making workshops but I'm not sure where they'd host this as the place was full of claw machines. We choose JoAnn every time and it's morally a better choice too if you think about it. A store that openly supports the 1% and banning abortion and what not - you can't really support that. But the whole of the 1% are in that boat and that's who owns all the corporations you shop at, so at least Hobby Lobby is honest about who they vote for, and they do it for weird ideological reasons rather than ugly tax reasons.
