I waited about 20 mins. The crepe was very good and not as sweet as I thought it would be and this is a good thing. I def would get this crepe again as I love crème brûlée on its own and I like crepes and combined it's pretty good and portable.

I preferred the pistachio Kurtosh. The hazelnut one was like candy on top of the cone and very crunchy like candy. These are made to order so take around 10 or 15 minutes. Not really ideal for a grab and go but was worth the stop. They have a ton of other pastries as well that are pay by the pound. The kurtosh was really good, especially with coffee. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but if nearby I would definitely go again.

Or mayyyybe actually the Lemon Crumble Cheesecake. Pretty much mention Mum's Chocolate Cake and I'm ready to trip someone over for a bite! If you can't choose, you could order a sliver of each and call it day. This is the best bit about Kurtosh - everything is sold by weight, and there's no minimum (or maximum) for what you buy. They close at 2:00P, so we wanted to get there early and choose from the full selection. I loved their display of baked goods which are all lined up neatly into perfect arrays. Racks of the pastries were right behind the counter, including both sweet and savory options. The employee manning the front was so warm and seemed happy to help answer our questions about the day's offerings. She said the most popular item all year round is their almond croissant, filled with an almond frangipane, but her personal favorite at the time was the seasonal Hazelnut Praline Brioche. Given that this is something you don't see at any ordinary bakery, I couldn't resist and you could say she talked me into it! My second choice would have been their handheld apple pie with its perfect lattice and caramelized sugar on top. The HAZELNUT PRALINE BRIOCHE (A$12) was essentially a light airy donut filled with a smooth chocolate hazelnut cream that tasted like a Ferrero Rocher. The amount of filling was generous and oozed out with every bite... I could have eaten spoonfuls of the filling just by itself! A slightly crunchy praline crumb topping gave it a crisp cap. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of this brioche as it wasn't too rich nor too sweet. I also got a flat white coffee which was good, hot and paired nicely with my brioche. My mom got their seasonal lemon monkey bread which she said was just okay. It didn't have that cinnamon gooeyness that one would normally expect in this type of dessert. Similarly, they also offered a lemon vanilla custard tart which my sister enjoyed. Oddly, it was labeled only as a "vanilla tart" on the display, which is a little misleading, especially for anyone who's not a fan of citrus. This cafe has a nice open air seating area with ample space, a couple seats at the coffee counter and some seats outside. Most of the tables were already occupied by the time we arrived, so we sat outside. With the cafe being located in an alleyway, we were able to savor our pastries in the morning sun without any cars or traffic whizzing by. What a lovely way to begin our day in Manly!

This cafe/bistro is named after a French baker from the town of Saint-Germain, who helped train the bakery's staff. A short stroll from Redfern station and you find a slice of Paris. Think indulgent treats such as chocolate éclairs, strawberry tarts, croissants, and to my delighted surprise; macarons! They may not be good for your waistline but at $1.50 each, they are just too damn hard to resist. My favourite, the strawberry and cream, rivalled Adriano Zumbo's .Try this cookie and you will wonder what took you so long.
