Came in to purchase some bóveda packs for my boyfriends humidor. I was actually looking for a different shop when I came across Culebra. From the moment I walked in I knew it was gonna be an experience. I was greeted by Richie , the general manager. He was friendly and helped me feel welcome. Helped find what I was looking for and provided some great options . The walk in humidor is amazing, lots of options for cigar connoisseurs. They have merchandise and even these nice polo shirts and button ups for men. The lounge is a great size with lots of room to sit and enjoy your cigar and watch the game. Probably the only thing missing that I can think of, is a bartender that makes a killer mojito (Get it done Richard!) but realistically - this is as good as it gets. - a respectable selection of cigars to choose from with all the must have's (Arturo Fuente, Padrón, Oliva, etc.) and a wide selection of must try's that would keep me busy for months to get through. - clean and relaxing environment with plenty of (comfortable) chairs, TV's spread around the room, and all the space you need. Probably one of the largest smoking rooms I've been in - and equally as nice. - chill, down to earth staff/management. Had the opportunity to sit down and have a smoke with Richard - a true brother of the leaf that is knowledgeable (and rolls his own blends) who also kept offering everyone food from Waba Grill and BJ's (probably just an occasional thing so don't count on it, haha) - good coffee (emphasis on the good) - Good parking I mean really, what else can you ask for? Well some of the principals and customers of Zafuto's decided they could do better and they banded together to open Culebra. As you can tell from other reviews they absolutely killed it! The space is huge with lots of room to stretch out on reclining seats(what!!!). There are plenty of televisions to Watch whatever you want. There is WiFi so you remote workers can catch a smoke while you work. The ventilation is state of the art ensuring minimal smoke in the air. For those days when weather permits they have several tables outside where you can enjoy your stick. There are several restaurants nearby where you can grab food and eat in the lounge. At this writing the humidor is still not full but the sticks that are available are diverse, and you are sure to find something of your liking. read more

I had one of the worst experiences with customer service I've ever had when shopping here. I felt so unwelcomed and uncomfortable. I walk in there with no one around and patiently waited to be helped. A short bald "man" walks in and doesn't say hi or welcome; doesn't speak a word. I say "Hi I'm Christmas shopping for my dad who's recently gotten into cigars. I don't know what he smokes/likes or i don't even know the basics of cigars. Can you recommend anything?" He does not respond! We stand there staring at each other for minutes before he finally asks for my ID. Like he just ignored everything I said. It was weird. I give him my ID and he just shows me to the humidor. I still didn't have answers to my questions. I'm just standing there because like I told him before I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING!! I asked for help and recommendations like any other salesman should do!! It's like he didn't want my business! I wanted to leave so bad but felt embarrassed to do so. Finally a name pops in my head "Fonseca" I've heard my dad mention that type of cigar. I ask for that he hands it to me and we walk out. I ask more questions and he just straight up ignores me!! And when he finally responds he gives me vague unhelpful answers! Like "Well what does he smoke?" I already told him I don't know. "Well it's a personal choice I can't choose for him" No shit Sherlock that's up to me to choose all he needs to to is recommend but he's too much of a prick with a huge ego and attitude he feels he's too good to educate me. I've been going to this lounge for maybe a year or so. Today, I wanted to get out of town and smoke somewhere else other than my usual place I go to. After an hour drive, my girlfriend and I arrive there and I am looking in the humidor for a stick to grab and smoke at the lounge. The guy who was working there, I believe his name was Tommy, was staring us down as if we were some punks trying to steal something. I grabbed a stick and I asked him a question about it when I paid for it and he replied with a real attitude, as if he was annoyed we were there. As he bagged up my cigar, I told him I was gonna smoke in the lounge. He said that I needed to buy two sticks if I wanted to smoke there. That's fine, I get it, I've been to plenty of lounges that have that policy so, I headed back over to the humidor to find something else. He then looks at my girlfriend and said it's two per customer. I asked him if she had to buy two as well because she doesn't even smoke she was just there to tag along like she has done in the past. He said it didn't matter if she smoked or not she still had to buy two. I turned around and just decided to leave. I told the guy I've come to this lounge many times before and I've never heard of this rule here, or at any other lounge I've been to. He said it's a Sunday thing only and didn't tell me if they were having some sort of event and that was the reason. Even if it is, that's fine every lounge has certain rules for a reason. I'm more or less upset about how much of an ass this guy was to myself and my girlfriend. His whole demeanor from start to finish was really negative and unwelcoming. This lounge is beautiful, I've always enjoyed coming here. The owner is great (I wish I remembered his name), Richie has always been great, but the terrible customer service I received was very disappointing and put a real damper on my entire day. I've referred other people to this lounge and they've come here but I won't be referring anyone else anymore. Tommy needs to be schooled on how to provide good customer service and how to provide a welcoming environment, like every other lounge is supposed to be. If I would have known how this visit was going to go, I would have never even bothered making the drive or spending money on a stick that I can't even smoke there. read more

The house brand that they carry,( also did not have a wide selection) The cigar I tried was a house brand, It was a blend, very harsh, un-even burn. Price point was average. The lounge itself had very little to no ventilation. Could not even enjoy the taste of the cigar Without the over powering stagnant smoke. The layout of the lounge was nice. The place is dripping with elegance and class. The register and humidor are in a separate room from the lounge giving a great, uninterrupted atmosphere. Immediately greeted by the owner who gave me a tour of the shop and explained all the many services available. After grabbing a fresh stick and taking a seat in a recliner/rocker I was greeted by other patrons and had a wonderful conversation with both owners.
