What a great vibe! The family running the shop is very friendly, and the regular clientele made me feel welcome right away. Everyone was engaging, and the conversations were great. The cigar selection is excellent, with a wide variety to choose from, and the staff is very knowledgeable and happy to help with recommendations. The location isn't very large and seating is somewhat limited, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. Pro tip: there's a liquor store right next door in the same parking lot, so you can conveniently grab a beverage before settling in for a smoke. Just be respectful and enjoy the experience. This place is fucking sick. From the moment my friend and I walked in here, we felt right at home. Nabil personally greeted us and shook our hands, we picked our cigars and he led us to the lounge. Really neat lounge, nice and clean, comfortable chairs, great place to socialize with other individuals. He had a tv up playing some country music and it was a great vibe. I live in Dana Point, and it's not often that I find myself in or around Anaheim. But when I do, I always make it a point to drop into George's to admire the handywork and handpicked cigar collection of the owner, I believe he told me his name is Nabeel. Forgive me if I spelled it incorrectly. He built the cigar lounge himself, with excellent taste, as the artwork, the chairs, the efficient use of the space, it all just makes sense... and I believe he said he did the ventilation himself too! Handy guy. the humidor selection is a collection that he personally put together with a lot of his favorite cigars, definitely the collection of someone who actually smokes cigars... Being from Hawaii we have no sources to bring in cigars because of the sanctions set on by our state, so doing research and some recommendations I visited Nabil @ George's Cigar and Smokes. As soon as I entered I felt welcomed by Nabil. He asked me questions on my preferences on cigars and I put full trust in his expertise. Of course I got my faves but let Nabil choose the rest. Gave me background on each cigar. He even threw in a box to bring cigars back to hawaii and a Cohiba lighter. I highly recommend Georges if you ever visit Anaheim or Disneyland. Visiting SoCal I decided to search for a cigar lounge to enjoy a good cigar. George's looked like the place to go and I wasn't disappointed. I arrived at 1:00pm on a Monday and had the place to myself. The owner Nabil was knowledgeable and we struck up a great conversation as I picked a Ricky Patel Vintage 1992 from his well stocked humidor. The smoking room is well appointed with 12 comfortable leather chairs and a couple of big screen TV's. People from out of state might wonder at the prices but I can tell you it's the state of Kalifornia that has imposed a criminal 60+% tax on cigars that causes this, not the poor owners of the business. I was in anaheim for 9 days and needed to a spot at night to chill and smoke cigars.. found one place on Google and that was George's ... turns out its the only humidor in the city.. you walk in it looks like a regular smoke shop. But tucked away in the back is small but we'll stocked humidor with an incredible selection. If you are visiting from out of state keep in mind this is California and tobacco tax is 60% ... so if a cigar is double the price of where you are from... its not the store ripping you off... its what they have to do to keep the place open. On my first visit I had a chance to have an incredible conversation with the owner Nabeel - extremely knowledgeable about the business but more importantly one of the most genuine and honest people you will ever meet . Everyday I went there I had long meaningful conversations with him that just made the experience even better. The best part was definitely the lounge... not to big, a normal size with individual leather couches set in a circular pattern that allowed everyone to engage with everyone.... no matter who it was, you instantly become friends and all credit goes to Nabeel for creating that friendly and cost culture. Had a blast everyday I was there and for sure its going to be my spot everytime I come to Anaheim - dont need to look for any other place. I didn't want to arrive right when it opened up so I waited a few minutes after they were supposed to open. I arrived and the young lady was opening up shop, but she was super friendly and welcoming. The owner, Nabil, was quick to greet me and offer his expertise on helping me pick out some cigars for my wedding. I knew this place was here because they had the BEST sign until the wind knocked it down. It is next to our favorite liquor store (oh, you don't have a favorite liquor store?!) but never had the need to go in. Popped in here to see if they had any CBD ointment or cream. The nice man helped us but wasn't able to locate anything. My husband and I chatted with him a bit, and let him know we were popping into the liquor store and would move the car (right in front of the store) once we were done. We were told it was not a problem to park there. Inside the liquor store, he came over and found us to tell us he had found something! WOW! We headed over and he had found two options, I purchased one and it has been the best thing (for my eczema) that I have tried thus far and I have tried a lot.
