I'm not 100% sure on what would be charged for this particular issued I looked it up online and this fell within that range... towards the higher end of the range but within the range nonetheless. BONUS, I checked in on Yelp and there was a 10% off labor coupon. That saved us about $40! Finding a new mechanic can be tricky and frustrating however they made the process so easy. I requested a diagnostic and of course my engine light was no longer on. He spent over an hour trying to find the problem and said he was available if it came up again. Sure enough it did the next day and he grabbed the part and fixed the issue. This is the first time I felt I got a great price, service and communication from a mechanic without feeling like I got duped once they left. I hope they know they are my go to service now. I ordered an X15 engine for my 2014 Kenworth. I had to get my attorney involved to get engine after…read morethey refused to refund my money. It took them 7 Months to finish the engine and when I received the engine it failed before it left the Kenworth Truck Repair shop. I had to have the new engine rebuilt after the mechanic took it for a test drive. The piston rings were put on wrong and the bearings were not pre lubricated causing them to severely score. MTZ engines also used worn out rusty parts inside the engine that were found when Kenworth rebuilt the engine. I had to take a complete loss on the MTZ engine. After all that I left this review. MTZ bribed me to take down my negative review. They were going to send me another engine to cover the lost money from their poorly built engine. I took the negative review down. I never received the replacemnt. After numerous calls they offered to give me a partial payment, actual money. $1500 to replace the $22,000 engine. I did not accept. MTZ said they were going to call me in another week to negotiate. I have not heard from them since. It took 7 months to get the first engine that did not work. I have been trying to get some kind of reimbursement for 1 year and 2 months. I am Just going to accept it as a total loss and leave this review to hopefully prevent someone else from getting screwed over.
