The people were friendly and never pushy, but unfortunately they didn't seem to know what they were doing. The quality of the installation was poor. I had to diagnose and correct multiple basic installation and configuration mistakes myself, which is not something a customer should have to do after paying for a professional HVAC installation. Here are some of the issues I found after the installation: Incorrect AC wiring: The AC wires were supposed to be connected to the Goodman R-32 adapter board that was supplied with the unit. Instead, they were connected directly to the furnace control board. Because of this, the outdoor AC unit starts for about half a second every time power is restored. The installation manual, including the correct wiring diagram for the Goodman adapter board, was in the same box as the board, but it appears it wasn't followed. Incorrect thermostat wiring: The Y wire was connected to the Y2 (second-stage) terminal instead of the correct Y terminal. As a result, the blower operated at the wrong speed after installation. Blower configuration was never completed: The furnace manual clearly explains that the blower speed for each stage must be configured through the furnace control board using values from 0 to 25. It was left at the factory default of 25, which is not appropriate for this installation. I had to change it myself to 10 to match the required second-stage heating airflow, and the system now operates much more appropriately. Unnecessarily short wiring and piping: The installers cut all of the wires and piping much shorter than necessary, making it difficult or impossible to correct their installation mistakes later. There was already extra wire available, left by the previous furnace installers, so there was no reason to cut everything so short.

I contacted DCB,…read more and they were able to direct me as to how to shut off my main water supply to stop the pressure into my water heater. DCB facilitated a crew to come out to my home within a couple of hours and they confirmed that the water heater had an internal leak and would need replacement. DCB was able to provide me with a quote on a new power vented 50 gallon Rheem hot water heater and installation at that same time. The installation crew was very friendly and courteous, and put down red carpet drop sheets all the way through to my furnace room. The installation was completed in an efficient and timely matter, and my hot water was restored!! I can't say enough about the service I experienced from DCB , and I will recommend to my family and friends!!

Stephen, our consultant, was very clear and direct in his explanations, and went over all of the financials with us. Buying a furnace is no joke, and lightens your bank account considerably. Living off the grid was looking very tempting, but Stephen walked us through the process of applying for a government grant for our new, energy efficient heat pump. We were successful, and received the grant, which lightened our load. When it came time to do the actual technical work, our technicians, Arek and Brad, were top notch. There was another technician, whose name I didn't get, and he was great too. They showed us how everything works, how to use our new thermostat, and explained how to arrange proper servicing or our new furnace and heat pump/air conditioner. Bonus: they are OK with dogs!! We have two friendly but large dogs, and the guys weren't afraid!
