I was impressed to see the large selection of brand-name softeners, parts, filters, filter housings, and specialized cleaning products available. If you need filters, pure cleaning products, or parts, Water & Air Works seems to be a great place to go. While the person at the counter was very friendly, they were not able to answer my specific softener questions (such as uplift tube diameters, control valve waterway diameters, brands of resin tanks, etc.), so they kindly took down all of my contact information, and told me that they'd have Aron call or e-mail me with answers to my questions, pricing, etc. A week and a day elapsed, and I'd not heard back at all so I called again. The same employee who helped me in the store remembered me and said they'd have Aron contact me, which he did, the following Monday. Aron was able to answer all of my questions, and explained that their business model is that they do not sell water softener systems directly to end customers. If I were to purchase from them, they require the installation to be done by them as well. Aron explained that they do so because they're feel responsible for any issues or questions with direct purchases, but if they didn't install it, they may be having to support something that they had nothing to do with. Their pricing for an installed system was higher than most of the bids I received, but part of this is because their system includes a sedimentary pre-filter and an activated carbon filter upstream from the softener. While this makes sense for well water, which is what most of their business appears to focus on, I don't think I need either because I'm on city water. Water & Air Works is a great place to get filters and parts, as well as to visit if you have well water and need a complete treatment system installed. If this is your need, Water & Air Works offers a one-stop shopping experience.

Our realtor referred ClearWater to us. ClearWater came out the next day, 2 hours earlier than anticipated and saved us $8k dollars. They found that the previous company (HPS) put in a new box but didn't connect it correctly and that is why the pump was not working. After ClearWater connected the box correctly, the pressure gauge went up and the tank filled. The 2 techs spent so much time dumbing it all down so I could understand everything, explaining what to look for when it's not running correctly and showing me what repairs should be done, how it would benefit us and advised that there was no need to pull the pump from the well and replace. Since this is a rental house and we go through a property management company, we were not able to set foot on property while they were working. They tilted the fence back up in the one section that it was falling over, and other than that they did nothing. They left a big pile of trash for us to remove, and not to mention, THE GATE OF THE FENCE WONT EVEN SHUT NOW! I am so floored by the fact that we paid over $3000 to have two sections of a fence fixed, and because of the poor repair job, the fence now doesn't even shut. Their negligence almost cost my family our lives. I will be filing a complaint with the CCB and the Better Business Bureau as well as the Oregon State Minor Label BCD. second update: pro plumb installed plastic concentric venting on a unit that requires metal concentric venting. They also cut the venting improperly. This is what caused the carbon monoxide. I had to have a second company come and completely redo their install, venting, gas lines, and replace the damaged unit which they installed. They still have not refunded me and continue to make up lies about me. ** installed a damaged unit, put my family at risk of carbon monoxide, left me without hot water for over a week ** They installed a rinnai tankless water heater less than six months ago. I repeatedly smelled gas and carbon monoxide and had issues with the water heater not putting out heat properly, and now it has started shaking violently. They said to call northwest natural. Northwest natural red tagged the unit for carbon monoxide leakage. 5 days later, Pro plumb came out to look at the unit, I was advised by pro plumb and by rinnai to contact a rinnai certified plumber to inspect the device. Jennifer told me the warranty would be long and that I would not have hot water, and that if i purchase another unit that they would install it for free. By now I have not had hot water for 6 days. The rinnai certified installer said that the gas line pro plumb was 1/2" instead of the required 3/4", the exhaust on the unit did not have an exhaust port, it only had an elbow which was causing carbon monoxide to enter the house. He also noticed that it was damaged and didn't look like a new unit. By now I have not had hot water for 8 days. When I contacted Jennifer at pro plumb she said the other plumber was just badmouthing them, and is very upset and angry with me that I would insinuate that there is a problem with their install, and insisted there was no damage on the hot water heater. When I asked her how the unit would be damaged on the rear of the unit facing the wall, she said she did not want to argue with me. She eventually hung up on me. I don't know when I will get hot water again, or when Pro Plumb will come out to fix the install.
