This shop is very close to a hotel I often stay at and it's worth the short drive. The seasonal menu is always interesting. I remember a fall concoction with "Autumn Leaves" syrup that was great. This time I went with a spring offering of pistachio, strawberry and oat milk for one of the creamiest and delicious lattes I've had in a while. A lot of regulars were coming in and a lot of baked goods (like by the trays) were going out the front door. Next time I'm in the area, I'm going to bypass the free breakfast at the hotel and try out their pastries. Staff was extremely friendly. I just went for a classic vanilla latte. Very good. I also go a vanilla bean scone. Holy moly. That was delicious!! First time trying this new coffee shop over by OU medical center. They make some really unique special winter drinks! I ordered the happy camper latte which is graham cracker milk, brown sugar simple syrup, and espresso. It's garnished with a toasted marshmallow and 2 little Hershey squares. The espresso was very smooth and the drink tasted just like a graham cracker! Also their latte pours are beautiful! They have a decent pastry selection from The Loaded Bowl. Another reason to support them right now is that it is a black owned business. That had nothing to do with why I wanted to come here, but I like diversifying the businesses I support! read more

Stopped by late morning this Friday; there is parking along the street (both 6th and Stonewall). I appreciate the indoor/outdoor seating (it's a smidge tight inside but maybe I only feel like that because we're in the middle of the covid19 pandemic). I especially appreciate the clear support for racial justice/equality and Black lives by the photos of civil rights heroes (e.g., MLK, Clara Luper, Malcolm X). With regard to the drinks, I ordered two fruity pebbles cereal milk lattes with oat milk (hot and cold), because.. well, fruity pebbles cereal milk. Wow, the flavor exceeded my expectations. This is a new sleek and modern coffee shop in the city. I have been told this neighborhood used to be sketch in the past, but I'm glad to see that change and see businesses open near the health sciences center. The barista's were very kind and welcoming, I also loved the atmosphere of the shop and the minimalist vibe makes it a great place to ease your mind or study. In terms of coffee and food, they offer pastries and also have a salad bar. I personally ordered a caramel latte with a donut croissant. The staffs were friendly, and the service was sweet. It was nice to see people with their laptops inside and in their patio. It was a change of scenery. For a moment, it felt normal again. Anyway, for my first visit, I had an ice almond milk latte. It was a good one, very smooth, but it was a bit bitter. I had their unique concoction called a cereal milk latte for my second visit, which is only available on Fridays and Saturdays per the barista. They ran out of Chips Ahoy, so I got an ice Cinnamon Toast Crunch with oat milk. The latte was creamy and was not overly sweet. There is also a slightly bitter taste, so my theory is that for both of my visits, the beans got over-brewed. read more
