For my first non-chain coffee shop in OKC (as a consistent cafe hopper) I was impressed with this spot's creative and unique menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's in a food hall, which creates a lively energy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They sell local artists' work and MUJI products! We ordered two seasonal drinks and my favorite was the Granny's House (oatmeal cookie flavor). Friendliest baristas who are lovely at chatting. Thought the Lavender Early Grey Latte could've had a stronger tea flavor though.

Prelude Coffee Roasters is located inside 8th Street Market food hall. It's a unique coffee shop that provides excellent tea and coffee products and special drinks. One of the best feature of of the shop is their tea products are from Urban Teahouse, another favorite tea shop of mine. Their specialty drinks rotate so you might not be able to get them all the time. They also sell their coffee products as well as vintage clothing at the corner of the shop. There is not a lot of options though. I got one of the specialty drinks, the Last Flight Home which is a sweet almond herbal tea from Urban Teahouse with a splash of tart cherry juice. The tea is served with a dressed up Biscoff cookie, which is my favorite feature of this specialty drink. This is how Vietnamese people like to drink their hot tea, with some sort of cookie dessert. Specialty drinks are hits or misses, but you could go with a latte as a safe option. Service is great at Prelude Coffee Roasters. This coffee shop is great for talking and hang out, but would not make a good study spot because there is a bar downstairs and it can get pretty noisy.

The perfect cappuccino one shot oat milk drink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a great stand-up work area near the baristas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I love visiting Prelude Coffee Roasters to see what their seasonal specials are. The baristas are always super kind and accommodating. I love how they support local artists as well! The area around the coffee shop is small and cozy but if you're needing bigger tables, you can take your coffee downstairs in the shared space within 8th Street Market.

I had to have a working lunch and was referred to Prelude coffee. This was my first visit, and I was very pleased with my coffee and the crumble pumpkin cake was absolutely delicious. This will be a spot we frequent more. Staff was very nice and very helpful with Choosing a drink that fit my style. The ambience was great. It wasn't too loud and we could still talk and get work done. My team will be back.

LOVE!! Always peaceful and cozy here. The seasonal specials are the classiest, most-mature in the city which makes me feel very cool whenever I get one. The baristas are always incredibly nice and helpful. There's a good variety of seating. Only complaint would be that the plastic chairs at the tables are kind of flimsy and have definitely faced a decent amount of wear. Parking can be a little weird and tight at 8th Street Market, but I've never had any real problems and just park on the street if needed. Thank you!

I was downtown for a dentist appt and wanted an iced coffee before heading to do some errands. Located in a little building with a brewery and a few shops. Very cute place and some people were there studying (either upstairs in the coffee area or downstairs in the common area). Fun place to just sit and hang-out, read, drink coffee/beer, or grab a quick bite. Parking wasn't horrible, but I had to park down the block and walk over. Luckily it was a nice day. I had a vanilla latte and it was pretty good!

Small little shop inside a market in the upper level floor. The people are so nice and they support local artist by selling their work. Their coffee is also great!

What a cute coffee shop in the most obscure place! My first Kyoto Coldbrew, but it is really tasty and refreshing. I added vanilla flavor and almond milk to make it just my style.

Awesome new spot for coffee!! We went two separate times with two different baristas, and the coffee was amazing both times! My husband compared the coffee to San Francisco's Four Barrel- the two are tied for best coffee he's ever had! It's in a new marketplace type building (looks like a converted warehouse? But might just be a new building.) It's got that minimalist hipster aesthetic of exposed rafters, brick, open air etc. It's a great space with lots of seating, next to prairie artisan ale taproom, and an intriguing looking Asian noodle place. One major note- the mocha was not good IMO. It kind of had that fakey chocolate taste of ice skating rink hot chocolate. All in all, great coffee in a nice environment. I would love to come back and spend some time doing work etc.

Prelude has become one of my new favorite places to get coffee for so many reasons. 1) The coffee is really good. Beans are roasted at the shop and the baristas are very knowledgable. Love how their batch brew is just $2, but their espresso drinks are great treats. 2) They have tea for the non-coffee drinkers! Tea is from Urban Teahouse, so you know it's well-sourced and packs great flavor. 3) They support other local places! In addition to Urban Teahouse, they get some of their cups from a local pottery artist, so it was great chatting to the barista about how they source everything from pastries to pottery. 4) Great environment! Love the natural light and the comfortable atmosphere the place has. It can make for a fun place to people watch too. Must check-out for coffee lovers.

Prelude is my new favorite coffee shop! They have great music and the interior is super cute. Every time I visit the staff is always super friendly and make you feel welcome. The coffee and tea are amazing too, they have great espresso. The Joibas tea is great sweetened with honey!!!

First, just so…read moreyou know when looking for Quincy's, it's in a small strip of businesses next to each other without much signage. The most signage was a piece of paper that said Quincy's so keep an eye out. Their choices were pretty slim. They might have had at most 8 different choices, which is fine, but only one of each for a few items. This was about 10am. Their specialty chocolate pastry was really good. It had a good chocolate flavor without being too indulgent. Their blueberry lemon scone was not good at all. Super dry, the flavor was more of flour if anything. I also bought a sugar cookie which my daughter loved, but I just couldn't get over paying $6 for the scone my husband and I didn't care for. Otherwise the other two items were good. No seating, so don't plan to hang around. They also don't have any coffee either at this location.

They also have a patio where you can sit with tables. There's a restaurant and bar also located within the premises would definitely check those out. They also host events or wine nights definitely ask the staff!

Such a cute spot with great big windows, ample seating, and local artwork. The coffee was great, and food was delicious. Everything was served hot and quickly. They're also dog friendly which was a huge plus - our little fur ball loved the pumpkin treat we got there too. I loved elemental coffee so much that even though I am not local to the cafe, I ordered a gift card for a co worker in the area on a bad day - because I trust this place can brighten most anyone's day. If I am ever back in OKC, you can guarantee my visit!

That price isn't even including a tip. This place has always been pricier than the rest, but a couple years ago they used to give your to-go coffees in a mason jar so it was justified. Now the mason jars are gone, the cups are barely bigger than a claw clip, and somehow they're charging even more. This was my fourth time here and I wanted to give them another shot, but it'll have to be my last try. You can get much better coffee at a much more fair price at other places in the city. The only strength Elemental has is that it has a bit longer food menu than other cafes, but if you're paying more than $20 for a tiny coffee and a mediocre snack then you are wasting your time and money. Also, I don't expect you to yell a welcome or fall on your knees to greet me when I walk in, but the service here is miserable and always has been. The barista asked me how I was doing, to which I said good thank you, then just stared at me for a good few seconds. I guess that means go ahead and order here. A simple "what would you like today" would suffice. Most places you get used to waiting a second while the barista prepares the system, so if that's not the case, just say something. Then they hand you your to-go drink without a lid, because the $9.50 you spent doesn't cover that level of labor and you need to do it yourself. I love to support our local coffee shops here in OKC, but you'll never find me recommending Elemental. Which is a shame, because the mason jars in my cabinet at home are a good reminder of when they served unique and fairly priced coffee. I am so thoroughly disappointed that I made an account just to say this. At least the espresso is okay.
