Udder Brothers Creamery - BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

One of the interesting things was the condiment cow, where you milk the teat of your choice to obtain ketchup, mustard, or mayo. There's a few coolers with a selection of local meats and cheeses. The interior is small; approximately ten tables, if I recall correctly. It's of the better options in town - otherwise you're in for a bit of a drive for a meal.

This time, I had a little extra…read moreroom before check-in, so I took the local rental worker's recommendation to stop for lunch. Udder Brothers is that small-town boutique fast food restaurant. Inside, there's an entire fridge stocked with Wisconsin cheese! Not to mention the ice cream bar. Since I was short on time, I ordered quickly and went for a chicken wrap. I probably should've gone for a burger (their specialty), but sometimes you're just not in the mood for one, you know? The wrap itself was a bit skimpy, but the fries came through. They were extra crispy. Let's talk about the sauce bar. Best part of the place. I had to "udder" my ketchup and ranch--it doesn't get much more Wisconsin than that. Next year, I'll be back to give Udder Brothers a real shot with one of their burgers, some ice cream, and some cheese to go. It's definitely worth a stop for something unique but probably should get yourself a burger.

We didn't get immediate seating, but for a Saturday at lunch time that makes sense. They did get us in about 25 minutes later which I didn't think was too crazy. In total we were there for 90 minutes. We were seated upstairs, so we all got to take the elevator up. That was fun. We were kind of seated in a corner booth behind a wall, so I feel like maybe we were forgotten about a little bit by our server. I also think he was the only one working upstairs, so he might have been a bit overwhelmed. But he was very nice and took care of all of our requests. All of our food was decently good. Three of us got the bbq bacon style burger, one got a salad, the kids got the Mac bites, and one of us got the brisket sandwich. I was happy to see that one of the side options was carrots and celery, and they were big pieces of veggies for the sides. Would I come back here again? It's certainly not out of the question. This is my first time visiting this area so I'm sure there are other places to try as well.

Between the four of us we ordered a burger, a salad, a bowl meal and a chicken sandwich. I had the Pesto Chicken sandwich with a side of tater tots (many other side choices to choose from). The sandwich was very tasty, even the roll itself, but the chicken was a bit chewy. The tots were awesome! Everyone enjoyed our lunch gathering. Our server was attentive and was happy to take a couple photos for us.

I didn't know what to expect as I didn't take the time to check it out. When we walked into the restaurant I reality is a fast food chain. This particular restaurant is in what use to be a Hardies. It had a cool decor and we were welcomed upon entry. As we were looking o er the order board the cashier asked us if this was our first time and replied yes. He explained the spice levels and what we could substitute for sides etc. We both ordered the #3 with cheesy fries and a drink. Our meal included a chicken slider that had coleslaw and a sauce. It was more of a sandwich than slider, and another large piece of chicken that was like a half of a breast that laid on top of a piece of white bread. Dill pickle slices, a side of sauce and the cheesy fries rounded out the meal. The sandwich was delicious with the combo of coleslaw and sauce. The larger piece of chicken was surprisingly very tender and moist. The French fries were ok. If I were to go back I would skip the cheese topping. We both jumped in the ice tea as they had unsweetened, sweet, raspberry and peach. We got the sweet tea and it was pretty weak. We head south every winter and usually if I get sweet tea I will mix a little unsweetened tea into it. This sweet tea was ok with the sweetness for me but it seemed really watered down. I'm not one for fast food but I would stop back here for a piece of chicken or take out a bucket. I'm not sure how they make their chicken but it had a dry rub over a light texture, thinking the chicken may be deep fried and then Tossed in the dry rub. Our rub was medium heat. It was borderline spicy enough but next time we may try the next step in the hot spice.
