(business idea: why are there not shirts for sale that say: "I got TANKED at The Hollow?!" The beer selection is a big more diverse than Sheddy's, and the food options look a bit more involved as well. Other than that, it's a typical midwest bar: loud, friendly, open as late as people are willing to stay. We were here to celebrate the life of my Dad, who recently passed. It felt really fun, and he would've approved of our visit.

Service was lacking because they forgot about my soup until I asked is my soup still baking this long, it was all teenage girls working room. My backed French onion soup looked pathetic and not even baked. The soup was bland and super average. The frys were awesome because the were hot out of the fryer with a crispy shell and soft center. The prime rib looked really good served rare as can be. The prime rib was juicy melt in your mouth with a garlic finish from the rub. Overall it was good dinner but they need to step their sides game to match to match the great prime rib like a fresh vegetable option or more potato choices like mashes or twice baked. And last they have no dessert options at all.

There was an elder gentleman right across the street sitting on his porch with two dogs that greet folks coming and going. Walking in, we exchanged "hellos" with a gentleman that was leaving and he was very friendly and gave us a laugh. Going in, you could tell there were regulars straddles up to the bar and having a good time. Both bartenders that day we very personable without going over the top or acting like they couldn't be bothered. Basically treated you like they've known you for ever. Food was typical bar food. Not too bad if you like that sort of stuff. We would go back.
