Billed as "The World's Largest Culvers", we had to pull off and check it out on a Monday afternoon. We initially thought that it didn't seem that large. We were further unimpressed by the utterly unenthusiastic employees. Not a one seemed even remotely happy to be working, nor did they move with any type of urgency. The food arrived and out of the three burgers, one was dry and limp, another had unordered tomatoes and onions, and the last was cold. The ice machine produced one measly cube and when we informed an employee he responded with, "it's probably out". Thanks for your help. Best burgers in the business! Get the double butter burger basket with cheese-- nothing else comes close except maybe In and Out, but you got to be on the west coast for those burgers. These are so good, they put Burger King, Wendy's and McDonalds to shame! There's all kinds of other stuff on the menu ( the fish sandwich is awesome), but it's all about the burgers for me here. Good Burger! I enjoy the swiss mushroom burger. Always fresh, could be faster with the drive-thru but overall the burger is worth the wait.

Food here is good and above average for a fast food type place. Orders are usually accurate but my biggest gripe is the wait to receive your food. Everytime we stop here it's always 15-20 minutes from the time I order to the time I receive my food. Since we live in the area we usually just get it to go so I just stand around waiting for my order. Meanwhile cars are going through the drive-thru one after another. read more

Anytime you see "world's largest", you would be lying if you said that it did not catch your attention. Well, when I saw "world's largest" right next to "Culver's", you better believe I was stopping in! This was only my second-ever Culver's experience. The first time, I just stopped in for a small chocolate custard, but this time I had a bit more time and an empty stomach so I decided to go for the full experience. I got the chicken finger combo which came with 4 chicken fingers, fries and a drink. For dessert, I got the chocolate custard again, topped with cookie dough and Reese's cups. Besides the food, one of the most impressive aspects of this Culver's was the service. My food was brought to me at the table that I was sitting at by one of the workers. The fingers and fries were pipping hot which let me know that either I got lucky with a fresh batch or that they really did prepare my order right on the spot (hoping for the latter). Although my meal was 5/5 stars, it was the custard that stole the show. If you have never had frozen custard before and you know of a Culver's near you, do yourself a favor and give it a try. I always stop by a Culver's no matter where I lived. I enjoy a kids meal because you always get a smaller portion of food plus you get a drink and a scoop of custard in a dish or a ice cream cone. I usually always get a cheeseburger with fries, my drink and sometimes I'll upgrade my scope of custard to a waffle cone especially if I love the flavor of the day! World's Largest Culver's in the husband's hometown! :) Always a stop when we are visiting the family... several times. Love their butter burgers and Culver's Root beer! They also have great chicken tenders basket (with fries) Its so Yummy! I usually get a the oreo concrete or a special one of pecans and marshmallow cream. I'm a fan of the butter burger with cheese, ketchup, pickle, and onion please. Fries were good and hot and the burger was a dream for our empty stomachs. As the claimed largest Culver's it was really big... when is the last time you saw a "meeting room" in a fast food restaurant? Yah ne either. Well they have one! The obligatory pit stop also had about twice as many stalls in the women's restroom. It's a confusing maze of roundabouts to get there but amazingly we got it right on the first try. Highly recommended for a good place for a stop to break up the monotony of insane traffic. read more

Culvers always seems to get it right. My order is always fresh and accurate. They even have dog treats at the window!

Very clean and lots of space at this Culver's. I believe this is the largest Culver's in the world. Had a burger which was extremely good and fresh. Also had cheese curds, which they are famous for. The curds were really really good. Nothing to complain about this location except for the location. If you're on the highway, it's really confusing how to get her. I like Culvers. The quality and service is always good. This store is ne exception. I got served quickly. It was a frozen custard treat that was made with the same quality ingredients that I'm used to getting at my hometown Culvers. Ah, the world's largest Culver's. It's really no different from any other Culver's, and it's located in the most random place (hello, Newville!), but it was a nice stop after going out for the BF's birthday dinner. We were with his niece and nephew so he offered to take them out for ice cream. The restaurant was more or less dead when we came in, and the counter person was patient while the eight of us tried to decide what we wanted/wrangle the kids. Another person came out to the registers so that those of us that were ready to order could get started (my boyfriend picked up the tab for his family, and I picked up the tab for him since it was his birthday). The tables were clean, the bathroom had plenty of stalls, and the restaurant is laid out well to accommodate people congregating at the counter (smaller locations tend to have the condiment bar and soda machines directly across from the counter and at peak times makes for a tight squeeze). The world's largest Culver's is nothing to make a special trip out for, but it's not a bad place to stop if you're in the area or need a spot to pull off from the Interstate. read more

WORLD'S BIGGEST CULVER'S! Ok, so the fact that it is the biggest one is pretty much the main reason I stopped in. Had my usual bacon cheeseburger, which tasted like every other Culver's burger. Love the fact that I can get cheese curds in place of fries. For being as big and busy as it was they ran pretty efficiently and got our food out to us fairly quickly. Guess I'll give them an extra star for that and bump them up to 4 from 3. Too full to try the desserts here so I had to stop at a different location on the way home for a malt later. read more

Now, like most chain restaurants, it's going to be really hard to get anything more than a 3 star review. The food is all the same, coming from the same places, with the same standards. When it comes to reviewing a chain, like this here culver's I look at the following: customer service quality of prepared food physical location and uniqueness So first, this culver's is apparently the world's largest culvers...it's not really that big, but good for them. This place is always busy, but a frequent stop for the wife and I on our way up to our lake house. Usually this place is packed and you'll be waiting for a long time both drive-thru and inside. It is one of the last food stops for a while on Rt.39. The employees are always friendly and working tirelessly to what seems to them to be a never ending crowd of demanding tourists. They never acknowledge how long you will be waiting for your food, which does cause some frustration on the customer end. Their food is meh. It's cooked fine...never burnt, or soggy, or messed up & their custard is on point. Usually we only go here for their frozen treats. I would keep it simple with a strawberry shake. Delicious. The place is clean and even though it's crowded it's not overwhelming to get to. read more

I was very impressed with the allergen knowledge of the cashier. I have a gluten allergy and heard Culver's does a great job accommodating. The cashier asked me a few questions, pointed out some potential issues and I was blown away that he knew many of the points of potential contamination. The food then came in a separate bag from my husband and the bun was individually wrapped and warmed. Just really impressed and happy to see fast food taking food allergies seriously. Think of it as an souped up McDonald's. You order at the register and they bring the food to your table. I liked my cod fish sandwich. My daughter liked her strawberry chicken salad. Also, this place seems to be a community center. Local Rotary meets there weekly, and bike club meets there too. I saw big crowd on Sunday night. read more

This is a pretty typical Culver's, however their service is top-notch here. This is a regular stop for me between home and Chicago. They deal with so many people coming off the highway that they accommodate pretty much any request. Do you need an ice cream cup to give your dog some water? No problem. Extra waters? I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience at Culver's. I must admit that as a Missouri native, I just didn't "get" Culver's when I moved to Wisconsin. Every Culver's I drive by always appears packed. People left and right rave about the food. I've had a few meals from the drive thru occasionally, but I never felt like Culver's was something to write home about. A friend suggested to me that Culver's fish was, in her opinion, the best fish fry she's found in Wisconsin. Sure, I'll try it. Wow ... and she was right! I dined in the restaurant (not drive thru) and ate the fried Walleye along with coleslaw, homemade tartar sauce, roll, green beans and mashed potatoes. The fish was just excellent. The roll and coleslaw were tasty, too. The tarter sauce is very unique and different than your typical tartar sauce, but I loved it. Mashed potatoes were okay, and I felt that the green beans were a little too salty for my liking. I now understand what all the hype is about. It's not just a Wisconsin fare fast-food joint that people strangely love, like I originally thought. It is a clean and inviting fast-casual restaurant with homestyle, tasty food. We stopped because it was on our way and we knew our kiddo would be happy. I pack snacks but not lunch when we road trip. I don't enjoy typical fast food and honestly I can't remember the last time I went to a Culver's but I was pleasantly surprised with their salads. Stopped here on our way to Chicago, and subsequently got yelled at for never having gone to a culver's before. Wasn't too hungry, so I got their mini mixer, which came with up to 2 different toppings (I got brownie and crunch bar). The custard was extremely rich and creamy, and I think I can confidently say that it's the best custard I've ever had. Granted, I've only had custard like 3-4 times, but dayuuum, this was pretty good. My friends all got the butter burgers and fried cheese curds. The burgers looked like heaven, and the cheese curds were surprisingly delicious for a fast food place. The crusty outside and the melted, chewy inside counterbalanced well and added more depth to the simple side dish. Will definitely be back again to try the burgers at some point. read more
