Have never been to a Culver's but I know it's a national chain and I've seen them in Illinois and Wisconsin before. In any case, decided to give them a try today. Walked in and was immediately impressed with the size of the menu board. Very extensive with something for everyone. After some thought, I went with the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich with Fries on the side and a fountain drink. You place your order and pay and they give you a little number to put on your table. You get your own drink and take a seat and shortly your meal will be delivered to you. Service was fast and friendly and I was impressed by the finger wipes they brought with my lunch. Nice touch. The Pork Tenderloin unfortunately did not measure up. A bit overcooked and with a greasy taste did not cut it. Fries on the other hand were very good. Restaurant is very clean and well organized and apparently well managed. Next time I'll try something a little different and maybe I can find something a bit more appealing. read more

I know that people swear by Culver's as the next best thing since sliced bread and it's good. But it ain't THAT good. I had a decent burger that was well assembled and easy enough to eat other than being a tall stack. You know how some burger places (Jack-In-The-Box) advertise a burger that looks awesome in the ads but is a letdown when it's on your tray? Well that didn't happen to me here at Culver's. You can see from my own picture. Nice. I also got a chocolate malt custard shake to go home for the Mrs. That was a big hit. Okay, so I was going to go with "A-OK" but I think it's good. Forewarned that I only have 1 visit to base this review off of. First off any restaurant that gets a 4 star means they're good, when a FAST FOOD restaurant gets that's a wow! On a business trip in Charlotte and was heading out of town and needing a quick bite we decided to stop. A 4 star fast food joint? Must try it... First off for a fast food spot it's clean, restroom for men not smelly nor in shambles, dinning room free of overflowing trashcans and stray wrapper flying around. Customer service was on point, felt as composed as In & Out in CA. Orderly and everyone getting the job done. The staff taking the orders, the cooks to the staff delivering your meals. Culver's claim to fame is they toast the bread with butter. This along with your non traditional patty not like other restaurants, but with a patty flattened/pressed on the grill so the edges are crispy. So so tasty. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and bacon. Very tasty and recommend it. All in all, good service, good food, clean location... What more do you need? Buon appetito. read more

It's so nice to have a small taste of home here in the South. I'm originally from the mid-west, where this chain originally started. My husband has never heard of, let alone tasted, a cheese curd. So, of course I had to indoctrinate him pronto. He got his first taste of frozen custard when I took him North a few years ago, so he's already been initiated to that delicacy. I got a regular-size chocolate concrete with brownie pieces and Heath. He got a mini vanilla concrete with brownie pieces. Both were very good. The cheese curds were soooo yummy. I mean, how can you NOT like fried cheese ? We sat down in the dining room with our table number and someone brought our order to us. When finished, you just dump everything into the trash yourself as you head out the door. The lobby was very clean. The staff was friendly and wished us well as we left. They do have outdoor seating if the weather is nice. They have a different "flavor of the day" daily, so it's tempting to want to stop here often. I grew up eating Culver's in Wisconsin and then when they put some in Illinois. I love their chocolate custard with heath bars in it, it is my go-to! And you cannot go to Culver's without getting a hot order of cheese curds! Dipped in ranch, they are the ultimate snack. I know everyone swears by their burgers and I don't deny that they are delicious....but, their pork tenderloin sandwich is the hidden gem!!! It's fried perfectly and placed on a soft bun. Boyfriend talked about the cheese curds here, so I stopped here on my way back to Columbia from the Charlotte airport to see what the hype was about. The good thing is that this Culver's is located right off the interstate. The curds were pretty average, and they offered marinara or ranch as a condiment. I went with the marinara. The breading is crispy, but my order was just lukewarm. For the cost of a regular order of curds ($4.xx total), there were only about eight little balls of cheese, so I think I prefer the fried cheese from another major chain. They also gave me the wrong change, so I had to wait for them to correct that error. This probably still won't deter me from trying their burgers and custard next time though, because I'm pretty curious. read more

They've seriously got it going on! For just $4.99, you can get a single cheeseburger, a small fry, a small drink, and a scoop of custard with a topping! I'm not one to skimp out on the portions, but even I get a kids meal here, cause WHAT A DEAL! Their burgers are small, but packed with flavor and freshness. Their fries are always warm and crispy; not your average soggy crinkle cut, and their BBQ sauce is spot on. And the ketchup, just like the restaurant, seems to be a step above the rest. Very poor service and attitude among the employees. Dirty dining room--employee in the back of the dining room standing around and texting on his cell phone instead of cleaning. Cashier acted like she didn't want to be there and we were an inconvenience to her. We asked what was the difference between a regular burger and a deluxe, and she pointed to the signage while staring blankly at us. Never smiled or said thank you. Had to ask for ice since the machine wasn't working, which annoyed another employee. Didn't offer to give me a receipt. Tea empty. Slow service, despite being one of about 3 families in the restaurant. (I think there were literally more employees "working " in the back than customers in the restaurant.) Employee picking up things off the floor and didn't wash her hands. Order incorrect - burger not made as we asked. Fries cold. Burger undercooked-had to take it back. Not your average fast food joint. So we were in SC for hurricane Irma. We kept seeing these Culver's all over the place. Start reading up on it and once I saw someone compare it to In and Out Burger then I just HAD to try it. So we decided to try it one night. It did not disappoint! Honestly I haven't been to In and Out in years so I'm not sure I can compare the two. That being said it was definitely better than any of the fast food chains we have down here in FL. We stuck to the basic double cheese burger with fries (after ordering I realized they had cheese curds, wish I would of tried that!) I also got a chocolate milkshake. The burger was perfect and so were the fries and milkshake. They also bring it to your table which was cool. After reading an article about the quality of Culver's beef for their burgers, we decided to come by and have dinner. The hamburgers we got could best be described as super squashed burned beef. Lauderdale to West Virginia, to see a Culver's sign at the exit in Rock Hill, SC. This is like manna from Heaven. Culver's may be the best fast food hamburgers in America; or should I say "Butter Burgers!" Yes, they are topped with a pat of butter which melts lusciously over the beef patty and bun, giving it a wonderful richness! The fries are done perfectly, too! Five Stars, Five Stars, Five Stars!! This was not my first trip to Culver's, but it was the first time I brought the family. We had a great time and the custard for the kids and the concrete mixers were awesome. We will definitely be coming back with the family for another meal. Also, there were a lot of kids at the restaurant (I think it was a youth group) and within minutes of them leaving, the staff had everything cleaned up and seemed to take their jobs seriously with a smile. I love Culver's for their Concretes and other treats. I've never tried any of their food because I typically don't eat a lot of the items they serve. I have been to this Culver's for years. I do have a warning however, avoid them at all cost on weekends and within a hour of closing. The customer service sucks at those times and they are typically staffed with young kids who screw up your order. I went in last night and ordered a concrete and my ice cream was milkshake like consistency. I was told that they were not making any more ice cream because they were about to close. If I could do zero stars I would. I have worked at another Culvers location and know that they could have done way better. Me and my boyfriend ordered a cheese curd and a chilly cheese fry which normally takes 5 minutes to make and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for our food and even then we had to go up and ask about it. The young staff looked like they were trying but the manager was just standing around not doing anything and had an attitude with the many customers asking about their forgotten food. My cheese curds were fine but my boyfriend's chilly cheese fries only had chilly on it and no cheese, we didn't even get a ticket for our meal and my boyfriend had to remind them what we got. This place has a lot to offer... from burgers and chicken tenders to fish sandwiches! Lunch time may be a bit of a doozy when it comes to the parking maneuvering with drive-thru traffic, but if you have time to sit for a second, then I would recommend going inside; it's worth it. The entire menu is made fresh... so much so, I my chicken tenders were still sizzling when I got them (nothing a few cool-down blows couldn't handle). They also offer milkshakes which is always plus for me. I will definitely try them again! read more

This Culver's parking lot is TERRIBLE. The drive thru traffic takes up ALL the area for cars to pass and it's nearly impossible to get out or even get a parking space. POOR engineering of this parking lot and there is NO secondary exit or entrance for Emergency Vehicles either. So frustrating that I can't even enjoy the food. Butter Burger was ok. read more

I was bummin' around and saw Culvers, I used to always get icecream from em' and figured "They probably have atleast fries or somethin'".
