Waited 45 min for a burger, two grilled cheese and some fries while a dozen other customers came and went. After I asked about it, they realized the fry guys set the bag aside and never added them. I had to argue that the burgers would be soggy and cold before they offered to remake them, and all the while, the fry guy filled up a large bag with all sorts of fries for his friends that showed up without ordering. To top it all off, the friends were vaping at the counter, blowing smoke toward the food. Really disappointed in this experience. As a vegetarian, Five Guys is one of the few places that makes a banging grilled cheese (grilled onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup). There's no point in paying the extra few bucks for quality food that you don't receive unless you complain. :/ read more

Ordered a regular fry for almost $8 in addition to a little burger. What I received was less than any small amount of fries I've received. Not only was the cup not filled, there was no additional scoop that is always been part of any fry I've ordered from Five Guys and eaten at numerous FG's in America and Europe. After watching a YouTube video of a couple ordering every item on the five guys menu, I was inspired. I normally just order a burger and call it a day. Watching this video, they ordered a BLT and a hot dog, which I had no idea they even had. when I walked in, I wanted a hamburger automatically , but I was on a mission and so I ordered the BLT and the kosher hot dog. Both were a nice departure from the norm, but not as good as the YouTubers made them seem. I guess I'm just growing up, when fast food just doesn't do it for me anymore. Okay so this place has a lot of work to do before I will go back. My family and I used to go to many of the Five Guys locations throughout the East Coast but have fallen off. I made a quick stop at this location because I thought I could get an order of delicious specialty fries in a hurry. Well the fries were done fast enough but they left off the delicious and the specialty. SMH! Parking was available just outside their door and when I went inside I was able to walk right up to the register. No greeting was exchanged except, "Can I help you" and even that lacked a smile. I went around dinner time and perhaps it had been a long day for the cashier so I hardly noticed as I was not feeling all that well myself. I ordered a regular fry with "extra Spice" and noticed that the receipt given simply said regular Cajun Fry. I thought perhaps that the fries were made in a big batch and that as my order was separated from the pile the extra spice would be applied. There were three customers waiting for their completed order on the "pick up" side of the counter so I headed over that way without instruction. I forgot to ask for the extra spice when I saw what was happening at the Fry station. The guy was pulling fries from the hot oil, giving the basket a couple of shakes then dumping them into the fry bin. He then used his carefully gloved along with the fry shovel to apply the spice and to turn them. Next he grabbed the brown paper bag for each order and dumped the fries in. The exterior of the bag was so greasy I almost lost my appetite. Although we know that we are not eating the healthiest when we consume fast food, we don't want to see our worst fears actualized by getting the proverbial "bag of grease." My order was called out "number 22" and my food passed over the counter unceremoniously. No thank you for coming, or anything. I got in my car and as I drove home I decided to munch on a fry or two only to realize that I could hardly taste the spice. The "extra Cajun" had never been applied. Next time. . . Five guys has always been a favorite burger spot for a couple looking to fill there face. Especially knowing the double stacked burgers with cheese melted so heavenly and the fries being able to fill us both as we fight over who gets the next grab because they're so good. Well unfortunately our perfect painted picture was destroyed by bad customer service and laziness. We decided to sit outside to enjoy the weather with this on a cool spring night. While waiting time went by and we didn't hear a number called out, so we patiently walked in and just kept an eye on the counter or a ear for the mic. Well the mic was never used and after 5 walk in and out I finally stood there to be asked what I needed. Told them I was waiting for my food and said the number, a lady in the black uniform just grabbed my food off some top shelf in the kitchen. As we ate the food it was room temperature and the fries were cold (less portion than usual). Hope this turns around... read more

Literally watched a guy come inside, spitting like crazy on his way in. He went to the back and was back out within a minute, his coat was off, put his apron on, and came over and put gloves on. I asked if he was going to wash his hands. A lady (presumably a manager) came over and asked what I said. She nodded that yes he needed to wash. He then did a quick rinse of his hands and then got on the grill. Just in time to take my meat off and slide onto the bread. Let me pray over this food. I wanted to ask for my money back.. Pandemic. I've had Five Guys elsewhere, but maybe this one is different? Nope. It's a great burger that is well assembled and I love how the cheese gets all melty and messy in there with the loaded toppings. Your order will be prepared extremely quickly while you fill up your soda and then you can get down to the eatin' part. Fries are good, but not great. Five Guys is a huge step up from the fast food joints, but it's not the best burger around. If you're looking for something just a bit more upscale, try the BT's Burger Joint across Tryon in Rivergate. read more

This might be the worst and unorganized restaurant I have ever experienced. We ordered three burgers on doordash, all burgers were with bacon and cheese .... not a single burger came with bacon, and one was missing cheese. We called the store, we were told VERY RUDLY that our order didn't come from them. So we called other stores (the lady and gentleman on the phone at the other stores were so nice and kind). We did call this store back and it was verified that our order did come from this store, the young asshole on the phone hung up when we simply stated that we wanted them aware of the problem and obviously the money back for the bacon we didn't receive. It sounds petty, but I've quit jobs because of corrupt people, and this is what's going on here. NEVER NEVER order anything from this store. On a side note, I worked in the industry for over 20 years, my husband is still in the industry. We support all restaurants, but the run around and uncountability at this place is uncalled for. I would just like to say, I work for a third-party company, and I've never eaten at this restaurant but walking into the restaurant to get food for people made me want to try it. But overall the biggest thing that convinced me to try this food was the manager. He was the most efficient worker I have ever seen in my entire life in a fast food type style restaurant. His staff were extremely prompt and very eager to get the rush out the door and still kept a smile on their face. What fast food chains can you still say that about today. To watch this manager work so hard with the bagging, restocking, wrapping up the orders, he was literally Superman. So I returned to actually eat there and Just as before he was efficient, friendly, and very courteous of the customer. But so was the staff this night as well. I highly recommend this restaurant, this one specifically to everybody in the area and if you're not in the area it's worth driving over there just to see the smile through the mask LOL, on this managers face. Can't imagine a more fun way to end the evening. We had been to several places but had Five Guys on our minds all day. They don't close until 10PM so we booked it home and pulled in with plenty of time to spare. The menu here is so simple. Basic burgers, fries, and drinks. But their basics are all about the fundementals. Better prep, better cooking, and better delivery are what makes them far superior to similar competitors. Love it. I just can't get the smell out of my mind. The burgers are crazy greasy tasty and the fries are like deep fried popsicles. Yum. Service here is nothing less than awesome. The team member who took my order had all sorts of fun describing fry sizes and comparing them to the sizes of various co-workers. Haven't laughed that hard in quite some time. It didn't all that long for them to fix up my burger and fries. The whole while I just sat back and watched as they sang tunes and seemed to genuinely enjoy preparing the orders. It was raining all day today so we decided to order take out from Five Guys. Neither of us have been here before so we decided to try something new. Online ordering was very easy and it said that it would ready in 8min. Since we were ordering so late (9:30pm and they close at 10pm), I expected them to be in a rush to close as soon as I got there. To my surprised, there were people coming in right at 10pm to order their burgers and I didn't see any attitude from any employee. They even apologized that my order was taking longer than expected and that was much appreciated. I like that there is a sign that says where their potato was from today and which farm. That's a great personal touch. All in all, this satisfied our burger craving and their shakes were pretty good as well. read more

You could see everyone working together to make sure every customer got their order and that it was correct... Had Five Guys for the first time today. I highly recommend if you are a burger girl (or dude) that you check them out. There aren't a lot of places that allow you to build your burger. I like that I was able to add extra cheese & bacon to my bacon cheeseburger at no additional cost (at least on Uber Eats I can). I then added: ketchup, tomatoes, mayo, pickles, grilled onions, grilled green peppers, BBQ sauce, & lettUce. My bf got a bacon burger with mushrooms, A1 sauce, I didn't taste too much BBQ sauce and my bf couldn't taste the A1 sauce on his burger. I know that I had a lot going on on my burger so maybe no ketchup next time? As for his...it didn't have as much going on so idk why it wasn't present. The fries are so good! I would rank them fairly high on my list of fave fries. Especially with the cup being dumped in the bag. That my friends is amazing. All in all, Five Guys is better than In & Out. Lol. Been here a few times and no problem but the girl taking orders today was terrible. Placed my order at 12:53 got my food and had to wait 17 minutes to get my shake. I politely ask the counter girl for it and she said I needed to wait and she then proceeded to take 4 more people's orders while I stood there waiting.
