OREO Cookie Cheesecake: Culver's originated in Sauk City, WI back in 1984. When I was a doughy kid in the 90's it had expanded slightly and I have fond memories of visiting the location in nearby Wisconsin Dells while on vacation. Today, Culver's can be found in 26 states serving up their famous Butterburgers and custard. For those unfamiliar with custard, it's similar to ice cream, except it includes eggs. The eggs give custard a smooth and extra creamy texture. OREO Cookie Cheesecake is currently one of Culver's rotating Flavor of the Day options. This custard is cheesecake flavored with rich cheesecake pieces and OREO Cookie pieces swirled in. Beginning with the vanilla cheesecake base, it was intense. I'm a fan of cheesecake, but this creamy custard was almost too tangy for me. Thankfully the chocolate OREO cookie pieces help to cut the cheesecake flavor and balance things out a bit. Speaking of the OREO pieces, there were plenty of mix-ins as both the cheesecake pieces and OREOs were bountiful. Ironically, I had no qualms whatsoever with the flavor of the actual pieces of cheesecake. Overall, this was an enjoyable flavor, but I don't think I'd want to eat more than a single scoop in a serving as that cheesecake flavor really packs a punch. Even though I probably won't get it again (Ben & Jerry's Caramel Chocolate Cheesecake is still my favorite) I would still recommend it to cheesecake fans, especially if other cheesecake ice cream flavors are not available in your area. I was instructed to pull around with my ticket and park. I was parked for TWENTY MINUTES before I received my food, and they forgot my concrete mixer. I politely asked the employee to look into it for me but was met with another attitude and an eye roll. I waited an ADDITIONAL 15 minutes for my concrete mixer and had talked to 3 different employees at this point. Me and my family always order the eight pack of tenders and two cheeseburgers to share. I'm a large french fries and custard. The service is great. They get the food out right away. It's not cold and you can expect your food to be out and at least 20 to 30 minutes it's always ready to start someone's order and never too long of a wait you can always expect to eat by yourself or with a friend it would just be happy endless.delicious. Food is typically wonderful here. Inside customer service is always great too. Drive thru on the other hand needs some work. Today I waited almost 40 minutes for food with cars parked in tons of the back parking lot area. I currently have the heat off in the car to try and make it so my sundae doesn't melt. The amount of custards and other frozen treats that Culver's sells, they really need to sell at least 3 or 4 Sugar fee low carb low fat treats for people who are on a diet or diabetic. This is one of my favorite fast food restaurants. Right off the bat, the cashiers who took my daughter's and my order were very friendly and helpful. We used 2 coupons for free ice cream (the ones from the back of the kids meals). We went to sit down at one of the booths and noticed the decor at this Greenfield location--they have many sports gear and objects from both Greenfield and Greendale high schools to support them and many of the workers there were students, yet still very efficient and friendly. Usually when we get ice cream there, we get a little bigger scoops, but the ice cream was still quite amazing. My daughter got the flavor of the day, cookie dough , and I got chocolate with hot fudge. We both loved our flavors and were enchanted by how creamy, smooth, thick, and delicious the custard there is. We will definitely go back again and again for the amazing ice cream and food in general. I ask for fries without salt thats how you get your fries hot and fresh . I do also like when they have a good flavor of the day for custard. "Yay! I'm a fan" is wholly accurate. I used to be obsessed with Culver's butter burgers, pot roast, and atlantic cod. Now, I'm sure those things are all still fantastic, but when I switched to vegetarian a few years back I kind of stopped coming to Culver's. Why, though!? They serve grilled cheese, cheese curds, cole slaw, vegetable soup... lots of yumminess for herbivores. I was craving custard, so I sat through the drive thru here for about 10 minutes. Lines are always long at Culver's and honestly it makes so much more sense to just go and order inside. The grilled cheese made on sourdough bread was very tasty and really hit the spot. If it wasn't 90+ degrees outside, I would have tried the vegetable soup. Next time. Now, my tendency to mumble is what probably lead to a drive thru faux pas: I asked for a scoop of the flavor of the day and ended up with vanilla. I am NOT a vanilla girl. I would rather have no custard than have to suffer through vanilla. I debated for a minute whether or not I should go in and try to get it fixed, but I did, and it paid of handsomely. They quickly changed my boring scoop for a delicious cup of chocolate covered strawberry (vanilla custard with legit chocolate covered strawberry chunks). My cheeseburger with fried onions and pickles was a big disappointment. The meat was charred around the edge and could be cracked off, onions were burnt, and a slab of American cheese was placed across top of patty appearing like it had just been removed from cellophane and slapped across the top.. I have eaten here several times before and each time was worse than the last time. I have frequented several other locations and had no complaints, but I will not be returning to this one again. But I must commend the lady who takes care of and cleans the dining area.
