Service? Fantastic. Beer? Cold and crisp. Philly cheese steak? One of the best I've had in Milwaukee. This is a great spot to watch a game or hang out with friends over a meal. They have a good selection of beers on tap and the food menu consisted of your typical pub foods. My friend asked the waiter if they recommended their fish fry or a burger, we came on a Saturday night. He said fish fry if you came in a Friday, burger the other days. I trust his opinion there, she said the burger was great. I had the Philly cheesesteak and was really happy. The hoagie was soft, but toasted. The steak was tender and there was great flavor. The only critique I have is for their cheese curds. The texture and cheese were on point, but it was lacking in flavor, specifically in the breading. Very good experience overall.

Monday is trivia, be prepared to sit outside or at the bar, it will be packed! We had reservations and I was super early but the waitstaff was incredibly attentive. Any time another member showed up she was on it for drink orders and was fine when we ordered food a few people at a time. I've been here before and haven't liked the food as much- there aren't a lot of low-cal options (even the salads are 1,000+) but the steak tacos were excellent! I had some Brussels and a bite of the MKE burger, also fantastic! Some spice toward the bottom of the Brussels bowl, yum!

Taps on Taps on Taps. I have to say, this joint really does have a WIDE selection of different libations, mostly beer of course. From domestic staples to foreign novelties, there really is something for ever kind of beer drinker. On top of that, the food is absolutely delicious and the decor and vibes are quintessentially Wisconsin. If you are in the South ridge area and are looking to grab a bite and pint, this is a great place to do both. Also, absolutely top notch service.

As we were walking in there were people walking out and saying how good the food was so we knew it was going to be good. We were lucky to get a table because this place was packed. It looks very much like a sports bar pub. Our server was amazing. They were quick and fast and checked on us throughout the entirety of the meal. They have an impressive amount of beers on tap and a lot of local options. We started with cheese curds. I will say there cheese curds lacked flavor but the winners are their entrees. I got a hamburger and it is one of the better burgers in the Milwaukee area and the fries were great. They have the kind of fries that are good even when they're cold.

I needed dinner before a Milwaukee Milkmen baseball game at nearby Franklin Field and was torn between two places: one with delicious cheese curds and an interesting sounding burger of the week and the other with a wing special and an equally interesting sounding burger. Ultimately, The Brass Tap won because I hadn't been there before. I ordered 10 bone-in wings, half with brown sugar bourbon rub and half with Cajun rub, and a Twin Cities burger with no onion straws. The wings were great. The breading was crispy yet very light. I'm surprised to say I think I preferred the brown sugar bourbon rub, but the Cajun rub was good too. Both groups of wings could have used a little more rub because it was a little light based on my preference, but I wouldn't hesitate to get them again even as is. A burger I initially saw on their online menu wasn't available, so a pivot led me to the Twin Cities burger. Honestly, that might have been for the best because the Twin Cities burger was phenomenal. Be aware, it's HUGE and only for those with a large stomach or willing to take home a portion. The waitress said the cowboy sauce was like a mixture of ranch dressing and taco seasoning and she wasn't far off. I thought it was similar to the base of a taco dip. Because the burger situation threw me off, I forgot to substitute the crinkle fries for their house-made tater tots. Again, it all worked out well. The crinkle fries were crispy instead of limp and had good flavor instead of being bland. Right up there among the best crinkle fries I've had.

Stopped in on a Monday night with my mom for my last night in town. She has been here many times previously and I've been once before. It was nice coming in on a calm night, and we got to enjoy listening to the trivia questions once that started. The tap list is long and I imagine anyone is bound to find something they'll enjoy. I enjoyed a full stout and then a flight of four. For food, we got the cheese curds as an appetizer, and then the Hangover Burger for myself and the Shrimp Po' Boy for my mom. The curds were good, not too heavy on the batter and squeaky cheese with a good side of ranch. The Hangover Burger was cooked well and tasted great. However, I expected the potato pancake on it to be crispy and not just a potato patty of sorts; I was missing that crunch from crispy potato. I'm typically not a fan of unseasoned waffle fries but I did enjoy theirs with a side of ranch. My mom very much enjoyed her sandwich, and the shrimp was perfect from the bit I tried. We sat at the bar in the "dead corner" and were well attended, considering the server behind the bar was helping to cover the floor as well. The restaurant shares a parking lot with other businesses. There's bar seating as well as quite a few tables and booths, though I'd plan ahead if you're bringing in a large group at a busier time. The trivia they host seems to draw in quite a few regular groups, so worth checking out if you're into that.

My wife and friend and I were looking for a nice spot for some dinner while in the area! This is a perfect spot for it. Their beer list is amazing and food portions are massive in true Midwestern style! Service was great as our host was most impressive! I got the cheesesteak which was to die for! Overall, great place for a burger/sandwich and a drink (or two!)

This is one of our go-to spots when we want a delicious beer and tasty food. Tonight, it was slower than we're accustomed to on account of hitting them up a little earlier in the evening. I kinda like the old-head experience. Our waitress was attentive, and the service was expeditious. I'm a Belgian girl, and they always have something to tickle my fancy. Their food has never let me down. I've come many times before this evening, and I'll be back many times after.

The food here is SO good. Everything I've tried so far is bomb. Loaded tots & brass tap grilled cheese are my recommendations and make sure you ask for a side of cowboy sauce with your fries!!! The service is amazing and staff is always super friendly and efficient. It's a bar/restaurant environment so there's noise and sports playing on all the TVs. Try them out!!

Met up with a couple of Family members while visiting from CA. Nachos, Cheese Curds, Fried Pickles and Pretzel Bites with Beer Cheese. Washed it down with a couple of Georgia Moscow Mules and a couple of shots of Peach Vodka. Decent bar grub.

Ask the Community - The Brass Tap

Is there karaoke again ? It is listed as a place to go for karaoke night which used to be AWESOME but as far as know there is no more karaoke

Give them a call to be sure, but I thought I saw it up on the schedule last time I was there. I know Faklandia has been doing karaoke again for quite a while now.
