EVERY TIME!!! Every time I go to this Culver's I order a single butter burger, and EVERY time they add a double butter burger deluxe with cheese to my order. If it had only happened once or twice I would think it was an accident, but we're going on 15 or 20 times now. Why would they do that? Because the double deluxe with cheese costs more. They're intentionally ringing up more expensive burgers and hoping their customers won't notice. Purposely srewing your customers doesn't seem like a good way to stay in business. read more

Beyond delighted with the quality of our food. They served Kiko with 2 double pattied burgers when he ordered singles. You should've seen the look of surprise on his face! We got in line and waited no more than 15 minutes to order. After ordering we were lucky to find a table and waited another 15 minutes for our food to be delivered. I have been frequenting Culver's since 2004. My first visit and hundreds of subsequent visits were always YUMMY! When I was pursuing my MS in Genetic Engineering at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, I lived five blocks from Culver's. All of my colleagues (6 to 10) would carpool to Culver's for Desert after lunch at an Indian or Italian Restaurant. We love custard and no one does custard like Culver's. My wife and I have been visiting the Knoxville location at least six to eight times per year and are thoroughly satisfied with our food, custard, ice cream, cleanliness, and service that is offered and standardized so well at Culver's around the United States. Let me first state that my family loves Culver's. My wife, who grew up in Illinois near the Wisconsin border, introduced me to this staple of the Upper Midwest when we first started dating 13 years ago and we've enjoyed it in multiple states since then. After six trips to the Knoxville Culver's since moving here, we can definitively say that this location isn't the worst Culver's experience we've had but it's not the best. This location excels at freshness and friendly customer service. However, what this location does not do well is fill our orders accurately. Full disclosure: we are a family of five now, so whenever we order, it's a large order. For this reason, I'm willing to allow maybe one or two inaccuracies over six visits. However, in the six times we have been to Culver's since we've moved to Knoxville, this location has gotten at least one thing wrong every. single. time. They once gave me a single burger when I asked for a double. Twice they've given me vanilla custard for concrete mixers and sundaes when I specifically asked for the flavor of the day. On multiple occasions, they've failed to take the onion off of my wife's burger and, on our last visit, they mistakenly gave us a kids' chicken tender basket when we ordered a regular one. Since we moved to Knoxville in 2020, all of our trips to Culver's have been through the drive thru. Since I usually go on our Culver's runs alone, with my wife and our three hungry kids at home, I don't have enough time/hands to look through every bag to make sure every single detail is right or to take the incorrect items back into the restaurant. So while it would be nice to let the workers know immediately when they've made a mistake, it's not convenient during the pandemic. As I said before, I could ignore one or two mishaps -- these things happen with casual food. But to have these things happen every single time? We love the food we do get, we just wish we could get what we order. We'll be moving to Oak Ridge in about a month, so we'll have to drive further to get our Culver's fix. Until and unless there's improvement with order accuracy, we won't be as eager make a Culver's run, even when we can safely dine in the restaurant. read more

Culver's is great! You don't have to order a big meal from Culver's to get full. It may sound crazy, but everyone in our family orders a cheeseburger Scoopie meal, which is a one patty cheeseburger with whatever toppings you like on it, an order of french fries, and a small drink. They serve it in a kids bag which has a token for a cup of custard with one topping or you can opt for the flavor of the day. You can redeem your custard while you're placing your order if in the drive-through or after you have eaten if dining at the restaurant. I almost forgot, you will also receive a scoopie token on your bag you should hold onto. Once you accumulate 10 tokens you can turn them in for a free scoopie meal! read more

Culver's it's okay. Fresh ingredients, hot fries. But the burger tasted like it had sat in a warming drawer though. I wish you could go out to eat and it all be fresh. Seems like places that make food to order are getting hard to come by. I had a double bacon butter burger and she a single deluxe burger. Don't get wrong they were tasty and good. But when the star of the show either dies in the window or gets pulled out of a drawer it just kills it for me. I love Culvers! I used to travel for work to MI regularly years ago and discovered Culvers there. I was so happy when they opened here in Knoxville. They do not disappoint. Most of my experiences have been drive thru or delivery and have only eaten inside once. It's always quick, fresh and hot even delivery. Our favorites include the butter burgers, cod (basket and sandwich), fried shrimp, cheese curds and of course the frozen custard. Our delivery orders are always correct. Only downside on delivery is you can order only either chocolate or vanilla custard but I understand why. We average once/week for our food from here just love it. Maybe a little pricier than most fast foods but worth it for quality food and friendly staff. read more

Note: it got emotional for me to write this review because I live in NYC and the nearest Culver's is over 500 miles away... so sad. Thrillist's 2020 Fast Food Awards brought me here. Prior to watching that video, I've never even heard of Culver's. I was on my road trip back to NYC after hitting up Florida and Texas and stayed in Knoxville, TN and as I was booking the hotel I just knew I had to give it a try. I walked into this Culver's and saw what was probably the biggest fast food menu I've ever seen in my entire life. Needless to say, I was tempted to order everything. After having a long internal debate with myself, I finally went with the North Atlantic cod dinner with fries, a sourdough melt, the signature Wisconsin cheese curds, and a root beer float. EVERYTHING was good. Except maybe the cheese curds - they're ok - tastes just like store bought frozen mozzarella sticks in tiny ball form. I'm very blessed to have had amazing fish and chips during this vacation - the very best was in Disney Epcot but Culver's definitely made second best! I wasn't able to finish all that food so I had to save the rest for the next day. The sourdough melt survived a night in the hotel fridge and the microwave the next day and was still unbelievably good. I made a health sacrifice for this (I happen to be severely lactose intolerant) and it was totally worth it. read more

And it was far too greasy and rich for my taste today. Im not sure what else i was expecting a "butter burger" to be, so to be fair, I think this just comes down to my personal taste. Delicious! I've been here twice, once for a fish sandwich and fries, and once for custard with my girlfriend. Food was delicious and hot and the service was friendly. Price is a little high for custard but worth it for how rich and tasty it was. I was surprised by the excellent service right at the register. After mentioning this was my first visit the cashier/ manager Cher really went above and beyond to ensure I was educated on everything Culvers. Then the dining area was super clean, well maintained and upscale compared to most fast food places and their staff was everywhere you looked ready to help in any way possible! I could not be more disappointed in our food tonight. My husband and I both ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings which was the feature cheeseburger on their sign. However when I got home the cheeseburger tasted old and literally had three mushrooms on it seriously disappointed and not worth the money we spent on it. Also I ordered a kid's meal and my daughter's cheeseburger was bigger than ours she could barely eat it and also a waste the money.
