Cheese curds, Fries and Flavor of the day
    Brenna H.

As a true Cheesehead, finding a Culver's far from home is always welcomed. I stick with the basics. Flavor of the day ( all flavors of custard ice cream are great) , Regular fries, and Cheese Curds. Tip of the day: Dip your fries in the custard ice cream. Thank me later! Even tho its a fast food place, its always clean and feels like home.

Great for a quick bite after work. Fish is always fresh. Cheese curds are tasty and who doesn't like frozen custard.

Culver's, a family-owned restaurant chain known for its famous ButterBurgers, Fresh Frozen Custard, and Wisconsin Cheese Curds, has been bringing a taste of Wisconsin to communities across the US since 1984. With its origins in Sauk City, Wisconsin, Culver's has expanded to over 800 restaurants in 26 states, providing high-quality food and genuine hospitality to guests. Culver's just opened a new location on Canal Road at East Wharf Parkway in Orange Beach, AL, bringing the chain's signature offerings to our coastal community. The new restaurant will be located on, adding to the city's diverse dining scene and offering a family-friendly atmosphere for locals and tourists alike. We stopped by yesterday for some cheese curds and yogurt and the whole experience was outstanding.  Anchoring Culver's menu are its ButterBurgers, made with fresh, never-frozen beef and served on a lightly buttered, toasted bun. Popular burger options include the Original ButterBurger, the Wisconsin Swiss Melt, and the Culver's Bacon Deluxe. In addition to its burgers, Culver's also offers a variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups, providing options for various tastes.  Culver's Fresh Frozen Custard is a rich and creamy treat made in small batches throughout the day, ensuring a smooth and delicious experience. Wisconsin Cheese Curds, a staple of Wisconsin cuisine, are another fan favorite. Those breaded and fried white cheddar cheese curds area a savory and satisfying snack.   The new Culver's location is will providing job opportunities and contribute to the local economy while fostering a sense of community through its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to hospitality. This standalone new building and well engineered property is a nice addition to the area but it coming from the east be sure to turn into the Wharf road, at the light, or you've missed the entrance.  Bottom line: Culver's Orange Beach location is bringing a taste of Wisconsin to Alabama's Gulf Coast, with a family-friendly dining experience with high-quality food and a commitment to genuine hospitality.  To stay updated on Culver's Orange Beach progress and for more information on the restaurant's menu, hours of operation, and other offerings, visit their website at https://www.culvers.com or follow them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Culvers.

Sweet Victory at Yumm Twister & Ice Cream!…read more After an epic dinner at Pho-Mo (seriously, go there), my sweet tooth started throwing a tantrum. Lucky for me, right next door was Yumm Twister & Ice Cream, just waiting to save the day! I strolled in, had a nice little chat with the server (because ice cream decisions are serious business), and what did I land on? A milkshake. Because honestly--who doesn't crave a creamy milkshake while cruising on a Harley? Yeah, I did it. And yes, I had a drink holder... safety first, friends. My flavor of choice? Salted Caramel Pretzel. Sweet, salty, crunchy--basically a party in a cup. Do yourself a favor and order it; your taste buds will send you a thank-you card. Meanwhile, my better half went for a sophisticated gelato cone (because she's classy like that). Of course, I had a bite... and yup, it was as good as it looked. Smooth, rich, and worthy of its name. So, if you're anywhere near Gulf Shores and your sweet tooth starts whispering, head over to Yumm Twister & Ice Cream. You'll leave happy, sticky-fingered, and maybe a little addicted. And hey, if you stop in, tell them "The Harley Rider--aka 1/2-Time--sent ya." You won't score a discount, and I won't get a kickback--but at least they'll know I kept my promise and shared the scoop. Bottom line: This place is dessert heaven. Don't miss it!

Rolled up here for a dessert after a long day of conference-ing. I'd had this spot bookmarked for…read morea while and I was excited to try it. It's in a small shopping center that has lots of dining/dessert options. I only managed to make it about 45 minutes before close, so parking was easy and it wasn't busy. It smelled nice inside and looked clean. They offer a lot of different gelato desserts; the main draw I think is the twister cone, which is a baked cone that seems to be a donut-like pastry. This looked really good, but I was still too full from dinner to want anything quite that large. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. Two employees were there; one was a friendly young man who was clearly new as the other employee was teaching him how to ring up orders; the other was a surly older woman who seemed annoyed that I'd stopped in. I'm somewhat sympathetic since I did come in a little close to COB, but I don't think ~45 minutes is too unreasonable. I asked if they could make one of their signature cones in a cup instead and they agreed. I got the tiramisu variety, which is tiramisu and coffee gelato with coffee syrup and a ladyfinger. It was made in a reasonable time and I was rung up and headed out to my car to bring it back to eat at my hotel. The price was a little high but the portion was absolutely massive. You could easily split this treat. I certainly was unable to finish it. Overall, I thought it was only okay. The texture of the gelato was lovely, but the flavors were just kind of muted. I thought it should've been a bit sweeter, but not because the coffee was too strong; indeed, the coffee flavor was also just sort of light and unobtrusive. The syrup had an artificial taste that I wasn't crazy about and I was relieved when I'd eaten down past it to just spoonfuls of gelato. Lastly, the ladyfinger was sadly very stale, and even an attempt at ice cream rehydration didn't help it much. If I were to return, I'd definitely try one of the twister cones and would probably opt for a different flavor. Curiosity sated, for now!
