Went to Culvers for a butterburger and some fried onion rings. Service was very good, place was very clean, and employees were very nice. However, when my order was delivered, they had included french fries and NOT my onion rings. So problem, right? WRONG. They would not exchange the fries for the onion rings, and wanted me to pay extra for the onion rings, after I had been charged extra for the fries. What kind of customer service it that? If you (Culvers) make a mistake, fix it. Don't expect the customer to pay extra for your mistake. BTW their onion rings are great. The butterburger is no better than anyone else's. However, after getting my lunch it seems they got my order wrong :( I got a double bacon deluxe instead of single so that was a bit disappointing. Pretty decent location for this franchise. Order accuracy is merely okay. Sometimes the burgers aren't spiced at all, and sometimes the veggies are wilted. Root beer is still pretty awesome and if you do get your order right on this menu you're bound to have something good. However, if you call the restaurant directly, they will do whatever they can to make it right as long as keep your receipt and leave your name on their list. So, we've only eaten at Culver's twice, both times were mediocre at best. We have two finicky eaters in our family and two garbage disposals who'll eat anything. I am one of the finickies. Take that into account when considering this review. Firstly, maybe I'm just so stinkin' cheap because we try to grow a lot of our food, but for what you get, this place is WAY TOO COSTLY. Yes, their ketchup comes in a cute little dipping tub. But it's ketchup...tomatoes, GMO high fructose corn syrup and spices. That's the highlight of this meal. We ordered a Mushroom Swiss ButterBurger basket for our eldest daughter. She's one of the aforementioned garbage disposals. She scarfed it down as though she hadn't seen food in a decade though it had most likely been more like two hours. When asked how her burger was, this daughter said it had the dryness of a desert and the density of a blackhole. It lacked salt, Swiss cheese and mushrooms. The burgers were two-dimensional; yes, they were that thin. All of these critiques coming from our beloved bottomless pit who would eat us out of house and home if we couldn't grow more. Next was the Culver's Deluxe ButterBurger. My husband, garbage disposal number two, rated it a four out of ten. He said it was burnt, too thin and a serious grease pit. The lettuce was limp and soggy, exactly what you DON'T want on a hamburger. He believes both Burger King AND McDonald's have "higher quality burgers". Umm...yikes. I'm up next along with our younger daughter. She and I are mostly vegetarian but will eat fish maybe twice a year. We're the two finicky eaters in the family. I ordered a North Atlantic Cod Fillet sandwich. My daughter wanted the 1-piece cod dinner. Here is the description of the cod dinner straight from the Culver's website. My own, more accurate corrections are in parenthesis. Caught in the icy North Atlantic (murky depths of the Missouri River), our cod (cod-ish cheap whitefish akin to Swai) is hand cut (stamped), hand battered and golden fried (deep fat fried in 275-degree oil) after you order. Served with a classic Culver's family recipe tartar sauce featuring olives, capers and sweet relish (Miracle Whip and Best Choice sweet pickle relish), your choice of two classic sides (boxed-tasting mashed potatoes, boring, frozen crinkle-cut fries or coleslaw), plus a warm dinner roll (that must have been forgotten or eaten by someone else on the way to our car because there was no roll). On the plus side, we paid extra for a side salad and that was a decent salad for a fast food place. I'd consider this for a future visit if we are ever so unfortunate. My cod sandwich was a waste. The fish was soggy and bland, completely unseasoned. There was no sauce, tartar or any other, on the sandwich. The Wisconsin cheddar cheese, however, was yummy. The unsweetened iced tea was also quite refreshing, so all-in-all, almost $40 for rubbish, a decent and small side salad and three drinkable iced teas. read more

Been visiting several Culver's across the state. Like all other ones, the staff were very friendly and nice. We got our food very fast after ordering. Ordered the melt with the flavor of the day, it's peanut butter w/chocolate chips. Super rich and creamy. Double burger with fries, the meat and veggies inside were so fresh! This Culvers is my favorite one. Maybe it's because it's at the Lake of the Ozarks? But the food is always, freshly made, hot, and plentiful. Workers are quick and friendly. We went to Culver's today for lunch in Osage Beach. We were very shocked to see that this particular restaurant did not require its employees or the customers to wear a mask. Many of the other fast food chains all require their employees to wear a mask. We are in the mist of a pandemic and by the shear fact that Culver's doesn't require face masks makes me wonder if Culver's cares about its employees and the customers. Tonight was perfect! My daughter's 13th birthday is today, yeah New Years Eve. Well, she wanted culver and never had been there before. We walk up to the door at 7:54 when we see the sign that says closes at 8:00pm for New Years Eve! Ugh! We start to walk away and the manager and employees run to the door and say your hungry right? And welcomed us in, took our order and made my daughter a special!! They were absolutely amazing giving up their time tonight to make one little girl so happy. Stopped in Osage Beach for lunch with my young grandson. The staff here was the model of courtesy and efficiency, despite the added responsibilities associated with the pandemic. Culver's is not available everywhere in the US. I didn't realize that until I had several friends visiting from several states. They had never heard of Culver's and I thought that was crazy. I took them out to lunch here and it forever changed their lives. One of them honestly joked about moving here just so she could have Culver's more often. This isn't like any other fast food either. It always seems so clean and nice. If you look into the kitchen it even seems cleaner than most dining areas at other places. Their burgers are top notch but if you're looking for something different, their chicken is the only fast food chicken I will eat. The breading is the best and so is the quality of meat. My favorite fast food place on the west end of Osage beach by a long shot. I have a standard order. Double Deluxe Butterburger Basket with a Culvers Root Beer. You can't go wrong. It is amazingly delicious. Terrible for you but amazing to eat. Their root beer is the best I've had as well. Like all things Lake of the Ozarks you may have to wait in line on a busy day for food. At least they bring it to he table for you when it's ready so you don't have to stand and wait for a long time. read more

On a quiet night you can hear my arteries harden. Culvers is definitely a good time for your cholesterol level. The burger are what the call butter burgers, that means they are fried, yes fried in butter. They really are quite tasty and if you get it with bacon and cheddar the way I did go deluxe, it includes the lettuce, tomato, pickle, onions and mayo. the fries were massive sliced potatoes that were really good. This is not a heart friendly meal but it is a very friendly meal. The staff are very courteous and very helpful. When my heterosexual life partner gets don here I will be going back. This is the second time I have received an incorrectly prepared order. I asked for a burger without mayo and received a plan burger (no vegetables). The boy that took the order even repeated "No mayo but you want lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and onions?" I said "That is right." Consistently hot and fresh food! Soups are deliciously, green beans have a nice flavor and crunch - not slimy canned beans. Staff is pleasant, and on the rare occasion something goes awry, they are eager to fix the issue. Clean, and the local flowers in the ladies room are a nice touch. read more
