What an outstanding place to eat! They have a bunch of people ready to wait on their customers. You can tell the pay attention to detail as they greet you when you come in. This is a well kept fast food restroom. We're on a road trip as I'm sure many other patrons who stop at the Terre Haute Culver's are. It's refreshing to have a clean and well stocked restroom like this in the middle of a road trip. They also have the state of the art Dyson Airblade tap. An airblade sink that also drys hands. I'm a fan of the grey midwall tiling that ties together the grey floors and grey paint at the top of the walls. They have a nice Koala Kare changing table and two sturdy stall door hooks. Toilet paper and soap were fully stocked. An all around clean and well stocked fast food restroom. read more

One of the cleanest and well-staffed Culver's I've been to! Visited this location one Saturday for a quick early dinner. We arrived and one of the staff walking inside from the drive thru held the door for us. I noticed there is a spacious patio on the east side of the building which was appropriately decorated in a fall theme. Once inside, there were two cashiers waiting to take our order. I was quite impressed at the veggie burger option here and don't recall seeing it at any of the other locations? Of course I had to try it! My dining partner had a fish sandwich and slaw; we also chose a small order of cheese curds. We sat down and awaited our order which was delivered to our table quickly. There was an employee cleaning tables so we had no problem finding a table. I was really impressed with the flavor of the veggie burger...the special sauce made it quite unique! My partner always chooses the fish and slaw; said it was delightful as always. Of course the cheese curds can't be beat! We elected not to get ice cream this visit, but its nice to know they have pints to go in multiple flavors as well as they're usual freshly prepared treats. This fast-food chain is a nice little chain to visit. The burgers are decent here, if you're into smash burgers, this would be a good fit, I like the little crispy ends. But of course, what won me over were the frozen custards, creamy, and their fish, cod-y. Either way you can enjoy it by itself or what I like a little better, the sandwich. Perfect crisp outside and a flakey soft middle and piping hot. My favorite side though, pretzel bites. Perfect bites and always accompanied by its best friend, cheese. I'm telling you this place can get busy, but since it's in a sort of plaza, I'm sure you can borrow some spaces if need be. I've been here with and without a long car line. The car line can be a wait, but in the end, I got through it and had a hot dinner. There's a large menu at these locations, so many choices for different buds. They don't have a Culver's where I'm from, so it's nice visiting this place once and a while. read more

The food would have been delicious if I didn't have to wait on a portion of my order. I ordered the 6 piece jumbo shrimp, onion rings, and a drink. Instead of my onion rings I got french fries. I told the staff that brought our food to our table that I had ordered onion rings and I didn't like French fries. He said he would get me onion rings. After 15 minutes I went to the counter and asked about my onion rings. The lady told me they had to fry them and would bring them to my table. After another 20 minutes I went and asked about my onion rings. They were sitting under the heat lamps. I told them my other food was cold now, but they just handed me my onion rings and walked away. I ordered a single mushroom swiss basket, and a double mushroom swiss basket, to go. It's approximately a mile drive from Culver's back to my home. When I got home, I was beyond disappointed to learn that I paid almost $30 for garbage. My single was wrapped, and so much grease was absorbed the wrapper had disintegrated. My fries were cold, limp, and greasy. The patties looked as if they were days old. It was a horrible waste of time and money. I will never spend a dime in that place again. read more

They have the best customer service! When I brought my food out to my car, I ended up spilling my shake on my seat. I took a picture and showed it to them and they remade it for me and said they felt bad! They were all super understanding and nice about it! I took the family to try the new Culver's. They were very busy but it did not take very long for them to take our order but we did wait about 15 minutes on our food. It was good but not great. The best food item I had was their hamburger it reminded me of steak and shake's hamburger. The restaurant was clean, the prices were a little high, the service was average. We were passing through on a road trip, and it's our tradition to stop at a Culver's for lunch. This was the BEST Culver's butterburger I have ever eaten - the bun was super fluffy, burger was warm, and the toppings were perfect amounts each. They gave a great amount of ice cream and it was cold & fresh - not kind of melty like it can be sometimes by the time you get it. Culver's is the bomb. Butter burgers are amazing. I get the Bacon Deluxe and the bacon is crisped to perfection. The menu is pretty comprehensive with quite a few unique items, like the fried cheese curds. You can even order pot roast as part of a dinner. Most would agree that the frozen custard is what made them famous, but the burgers are a close second. read more

I despise businesses like this. I go on the second day of opening. I'm charged $0.25 extra for ranch to go along with the cheese curds. Does an order of cheese curds not come with at least 1 ranch or 1 marinara of your choice? Of course not... I ordered a combo meal, made my drink a large, and changed the order to cheese curds. Both of those were up charges. That was perfectly fine I accept that. But then after turning my meal into a $12 meal you still charge me $0.25 for a side of ranch? Absolutely not. Also, I know who the owner was. There he is standing out there with his hands in his pockets outside watching the money roll-in. I get it he runs the business, doesn't have to be working. But I almost get the idea they probably had a "briefing" at opening to save as much money as possible. Making the opening days a huge money maker by cutting corners on things such as: I didn't get napkins! Of course not. If they gave napkins out for every person that was coming through over the opening days how much would that have cost them!!! Probably had to ask for them. Good way to save money at opening. I did not get a receipt at the window! Going through the drive-thru I assumed when they had us pull ahead maybe the receipt would be with the order when they bring it out.. No! Probably something else that they discussed prior to opening, advised to not print a receipt unless a customer asks. Don't give napkins unless a customer asks. All the receipt rolls that could have been saved, all the napkins.... Yay!! Success! Can I verify that they actually went over those tactics to save money over these two days of course I cannot. But those are the things I experienced. And those are the things I would assume. Especially when they are smart enough to not open up Google reviews yet. They know they will probably upset some people on the first couple days and end up with some bad reviews, especially with business tactics like that trying to make as much money as they can in the first few days instead of making longtime customers. They know their longtime customers will be dropping the 4 and 5 star reviews later on. So, smart move not opening up Google reviews yet. read more

Is Terre Haute a real place now that it has a Culver's? Yes! The I-70/Terre Haute Hub is well known for being one of the busiest. However, exit 11 had...gas and Walmart. Now it has OPTIONS! Culver's is just the newest one to arrive. It's busy, good! It's worth it. Save your Scoopie tokens, people! Cash those in for free scoops when the flavor of the day hits you just right. I hope Culver's continues to do well so it stays a long time. You'll need to be on the correct side of the road to get in. It's in front of Meijer and does not have a light for their exit. Be safe in the parking lot as it does get hectic. They have a large outdoor seating area that will come alive when it warms up. They have the best chicken tenders for any fast food place. The cheese curds are incredible, but they are fried. Don't expect to hear the squeaky sounds of fresh curds. The fries are good and honestly, how can you go wrong. With all these options expect to pay a little more. It's not the type of fast food that settles. You pay for that quality, but it's worth it. They have their own root beer, too! It foams like crazy, though, so be patient. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed. read more
