I was a semi-regular through the drive through, probably 6 visits in the 8 weeks I was working up the street at Carle Hospital. I appreciate how friendly the staff is, especially the folks who walk the food out to the line of cars waiting for their orders. Oddly though, twice my orders were wrong, but I didn't realize it until I'd pulled out so I didn't ask for replacements. One was missing the fries part of the "combo". Another had extra toppings on the burger that I'd ordered "plain. Only ketchup. Nothing else." I have a weird fear of mustard and mayonnaise. Had to toss that. But the other 4 times, I got a simple hearty quick meal for a fairly reasonable price. read more

We go through the drive-thru at Culver's in Urbana a lot. A LOT. It is their only location I have been to. Their service is quick, professional, and friendly. I have tried just about everything on their menu, multiple times. Their food is tasty, freshly made, and consistent. Their Harvest Burger is one of the best vegetarian burgers I have had, anywhere. Compared to all of the other fast food burger joints in the area, Culver's has them beat... by a mile. We typically give them customized orders and they always get them right. I am ashamed to admit how often we get Culver's, but that is just how tasty and reliable they are. Great bang for the buck, too. read more

service has been slipping so bad we had to stop and check take out orders before they left. They gave left out the side of cheese sauce almost every time and once even left out two cranberry chicken salads! We have to trudge back in to get missing items. on March 23 got a pint of cookie dough ice cream. but all we got was a pint of chocolate and vanilla mixed - no cookie dough mixed in. I called and was told I could come back - 5 miles! I opted for them to send me a coupon for another pint. one month later and I'm still waiting. this was our favorite restaurant. we spent $40-60 dollars twice a week. haven't been back since march 22. Someone is always cleaning and thinking about ambiance reminds me that it's a fast food restaurant but a well managed one. Even though the lobby was not busy, it seemed the workers were struggling to keep up with orders. Probably just drive-thru no big deal. So I wait at the counter for five minutes for someone to take my order. They're busy, I get it. A group of people came in, but because they knew one of the workers, their order was taken immediately. I get behind them in line, even though I was already at the counter still. Eventually they do take my order, but they forgot to give me a number, so when my food WAS done, they walked around with my food looking for a number I was never given. Culvers are typically good. But no amount of positive corporate culture can save a restaurant in Champaign-Urbana. The low-quality labor in this town ruins even the best franchises. The girl at the counter didn't greet me at all. She didn't speak. She just stood there indignantly waiting for my order. Then she couldn't understand that I wanted my coins first. This way, I could put the coins in my pocket and bills in my wallet. She couldn't follow the simple instruction, "please give me just my coins first", and she threw them down on the counter. WTF? Worker in drive through is rude and clearly hates her job. Does not emphasize customer service which is partially what Culver's is known for. Also stop advertising things on the menu if they're not in stock. Worker got my order wrong too after giving me such attitude (01/04 @8) Also I told the one running orders that they didn't give me my sauce and she said she would get it and then didn't even give it to me. First off, I'm a big fan of Culver's. We were trying to support this location as opposed to the ones in Champaign because we live in Urbana. Nope. Not anymore. This store NEVER gets our order right! We either get the item we ordered, just not the way we ordered it, or we get completely different items from what we ordered! Today I was particularly hungry so I ordered the double cheeseburger basket only to see once I got home that they had not only given me a single but I didn't even know it was possible to make a hamburger patty that thin! It was more like a hamburger flavored bun! My wife got the wrong size fries too. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the Champaign locations. And to the Urbana Culver's location owner: Get your act together! If current management cannot get the place running smoothly, with everyone getting their correct orders, then get rid of the current management! read more

Well, since this was a new store, I thought let's give it a shot. That was a mistake. SO Monday Labor Day evening.. not too many people in the drive-through, 2 others. SO I ordered a cheddar double burger with bacon basket and a mushroom and swiss basket and 2 sundaes. $31+ dollars. They took my money gave me a number, and sent me to number for, I said I hope it isn't longer than 5 minutes. I mean it is a drive-thru if I wanted to wait, I would have come inside. SO here comes a young girl with 2 melting sundaes, an open style lid, spoons hanging out of them. Did I mention that they were melting already? I said wheres my hot food, then here she comes with a bag. The window girl had a bit of an attitude. smile and just say ok and thank you. The sundae girl, said I'm just bringing these out. I said I'll give the manager a call, it would seem that you would have put them in colder safe cups, than just a paper cup but what do I know. The manager asked me what I ordered. Like what does that matter. For service and problem solving this restaurant scores a D-. As for food quality. The French fries were lukewarm since I live 2 blocks from the restaurant, there was no time to waste getting home since my sundaes were turning into shakes. The sandwiches, were of adequate quality, although, the picture shows leaf lettuce and red onion rings, and I had shred lettuce and onion slivers. I will give a score of 2 for the food quality. As far as my recommendation for Culvers University, I would suggest you wait till they get their game together, hopefully, they will. I would not be a frequent diner with this Culvers. read more

I had a kinda of large annoying order so I came inside to order to go. All younger people working all so very polite and helpful. I had a full drink carrier a giant to go bag and single drink one of the young workers saw me struggling n walked me to my car. Awesome service.
