This particular Culvers is an out of the way place but if you're in the area it's probably the best place to stop as there's not much else around. Came here for lunch and had the strawberry salad. Tomatoes were dimpled and old, lettuce was wilted and dark. Showed this to one of the employees and she said she would talk to the manager. 15 minutes later and she still hadn't come back. So I got up and as she was going by asked her what was happening, she said she would talk to him again. The service here is exceptional. I was impressed by three different staff members. Kayla, Zack, and I believe the shift lead. Kayla got our order perfect correct, there were some special requests. Zack offered to keep our pint in the freezer for us while we dined in. The shift lead came out and greeted an older couple that were used to be more frequent and showed concern of why they'd been not as regular, just checking to make sure they were ok. How sweet. The food was hot fresh and delicious! And of never can get enough of their frozen custard. It is the little things like actually caring that truly makes a huge difference. Keep up the good work. It's a Culver's. Just like every other Culvers out there - the burgers are overly greasy, the place is pretty clean and it's fairly overpriced for fast food. And like every other Culver's the employees are pleasant and they make everything to order (I don't mind waiting 5 minutes vs. having my stuff sit under a heat lamp forever). Curt makes this place a 5 star! He's the friendliest, most outgoing employee we've encountered anywhere! The rest of the restaurant is a typical Culver's. They keep it pretty clean and the food is always hot and fresh. There is a room in the back that can be used for bigger parties too, which is nice if you need it. read more

Out of all my ice cream getting experiences- this was subpar. My accomplice and I both got beginner level ice cream orders and two vehicles behind us both got their items before we had. After over a 20 minute wait I have resigned to giving them a bad yelp review like an angry middle aged white woman. I was in the middle of a trip from Middleton to North Fond Du Lac when I needed to stop and use a restroom. Well Waupun had conveniently placed itself right where I was at that time. I pulled off and drove into town and made my way to Culvers. Now I could have chosen so many other places to use a restroom. However the Culvers in Waupun is drastically different, the outside of the building looks like some sort of industrial facility. The inside had a very inefficient layout. There was also a sign for $2.00 onion rings which I could pass up. So I went in and got my onion rings and left. Service was kind of slow for 4 in the afternoon, place was dead and a higher up was complaining about another employee within hearing distance.... Not a great experience, that's ok though. The Culvers we have in Middleton is EONS better than this tinsel town dump. read more

I had lunch there today. I had the double cheese butterburger basket. The mountain dew was good. But the food (both the burger and fries) was soaked in salt. I really had to gulp down my soda after each bite so I could wash down the salt so I could eat it. It sure wasn't worth the price you pay for a meal there. read more

Like most Culver's clean and spacious, but this Culver's rises above the others. I have ate at many, but this particular one some how always leaves me happier. For the prices that are on Culver's menus you expect really great food and I feel when i leave there as if I got a deal on every purchase. As if there is more meat on the sandwiches, more toppings on their sundaes, more fries in my order. I have yet to wait long in their drive-thru or have bad service in any way. This Culver's location is certainly better than average. C'mon people, these burgers taste GOOD. I don't care that Culver's is a chain- their burgers, custard, and cheese curds are so good! I feel bad for states that don't have Culver's. Also, the Waupun location has the friendliest employees I have ever interacted with at a Culver's location. Everyone always has a smile on their face and they go above and beyond to give you big scoops of custard with extra toppings. I have some fond memories of trekking over here from the high school on early-release days- my group of friends would sometimes stay through the whole afternoon; we would order two meals and just hang out. I am new to the area and heard so much about Culvers I just had to try it. First, about the smiling service, I felt like I was a complete inconvenience. I came in about 1:30 in the afternoon on a weekday and the person who took my order and brought it to me when it was ready could not have been more unpleasant. Second, I ordered the "famous" butter burger and was given a dry, overcooked patty (I swear it was a standard frozen patty grilled to the same consistency as charcoal) on a bun that could not stay together because of the inferior "butter" slathered on it. They do advertise their ice cream a lot so that may be better, but as far as burgers go, you may be better off just about anywhere else. I do not know because I do not eat at the typical fast food places such as McDonalds, Burger King or any of those-and now I will not eat at Culvers. read more

I don't know where the bad reviews are coming from. It's your typical culvers, they are never speedy. And as usual with culvers it's super pricey for a chai burger joint. read more
