No coolant/water in the radiator. After letting the car cool a bit, I limped it half a mile to the Belair exit where thankfully, I found DJ's. I left the car at their convenient drop off station with a key, a note, and a prayer that they could look at it in the am. Rick the Service Manager called me in the am to let me know they would look at it and let me know what they found. Long story short, Skip, my mechanic ran thorough diagnostics and while there was a myriad of things that COULD have been the issue, thankfully, it was just the thermostat. Skip replaced the thermostat, tested it, then refilled and bled the anti-freeze before testing it AGAIN before sending me on my way to SC same day. Service was the absolute best I have ever experienced at an auto repair shop and their price was more than fair! Rick even called me the next morning to be sure I made it back to SC alright! Take it from me, you will be doing yourself and your vehicle a huge favor by trusting Rick, Skip and the team at DJ's Car Care for your maintenance or emergency car care needs!

After waiting all day without any feedback, we finally called to inquire about our older vehicle, a 2008 Mercury Sable, did not due to an issue with a side light. The young lady proceeded to tell us it didn't pass inspection b/c it needed tires, and there was an issue w/a side light, but they were looking for the part. So not thinking it was a major problem, we had requested an oil change and said go ahead with the new tires & fix the side light. The next day rolls around and we're told they can't find the part. The car is old, so we're thinking oh my! We just spent close to $700 dollars for a car we'll have to scrap?! Why would they do the other work if they didn't have a supplier for the side light? Not feeling very confident in their response or expertise, we contacted our mechanic in NJ. Told him the issue, and in less than 3 min (no exaggeration) he knew exactly what we needed and where to get it. When we told him the shop here in MD couldn't find the part he laughed. He told us I guess they've never heard of Amazon. We were going to NJ two days later & swung by to see our mechanic. He pulled up the part on Amazon. Told my husband exactly what to order and said if they couldn't figure it out after that to bring it back to him to fix. The part was $8 bucks! Just shy of $800 dollars later & our $8 dollar part procured via Amazon, the car was back on the road. It was strongly recommended that I try to sell it. When I took it to Morgan's I was looking to see if I could trade it in although I couldn't really afford even a used car. But, Mr. Morgan took one look at it and said he could fix. 4 days later the damaged metal underneath the car had been welded and fixed. At half the price. Morgan's is the best. I've brought it back a couple of more times for far less extensive work and had the same great result. They are very responsible, professional and pleasant.

After dropping off my car, I received a call about an hour later informing me that my brake pads were actually only halfway through their life cycle and did not need to be changed at this time. The inspection staff and shop manager was verbally abusive when you question their work. Then a third employee decided it is ok to punch a customer in the face. I don't care how heated a discussion gets you don't assault your customers. Interestingly enough I contacted the CEO Mike Montgomery via email regarding this matter and as of 5/4/24 he has not responded. It would seem if a customer took the time to contact the owner due to issues with his employees to include necessitating a Cecil County Sheriffs response you would respond and engage said customer? I am really a pretty reasonable person, but when staff give me the proverbial middle finger when I speak to them and then another staff member physically assaults me I tend to become a lot less reasonable. Updates below in reverse order by date: 5/9/24 UPDATE: Maryland State Police (MDSP) came out and looked at the vehicle and it passed. The MDSP treated me like a valued customer. I sent a review to MDSP telling them how much I appreciated their assistance and explained that even if they failed the vehicle I would have accepted that answer because of the professionalism exhibited by the MDSP. The MDSP did not verbally abuse me, talk down to me, or physically assault me. As for the business I hear crickets, which speaks volumes to their actual business practices. 5/7/24 UPDATE: Took the vehicle to another shop for a 2nd opinion and they confirmed what I thought, which is their mechanic is incorrect. Unfortunately I guess I will need to contact Maryland State Police Inspection Folks and see what my recourse is. ORIGINAL REVIEW: If you want to risk being assaulted by their staff take your vehicle to them. They are verbally abusive when you question their work. When they get their feelings hurt then they decide to assault you. Never again will I take or recommend anyone to use this shop.
