Food and service is always great! It is a bit pricey but worth it for the quality. Especially nice when you can sit outside.

I come from a land of pretty solid breakfast spots (Asheville, NC) and was in Baltimore for work. Ordered the item that included 2 eggs, 3 pieces of in house made bacon, home made bread, and home fries. I also added a side of avocado ($1.00). The eggs said they were farm eggs and they definitely were - super healthy yellow yolks. The bacon was not as crispy as I like but so quality tasting it didn't matter at all. Don't eat much gluten and never had a home made english muffin, but it was great. And home fries are just most often blah, even when they're kind of good. These were just outstanding. I've never ordered such a plain Jane breakfast with so much flavor all around. And they know how to make a good Americano as well. Got one of those on the way out the door. We went to Cunningham's Cafe for lunch today. What a wonderful experience. Orders are taken at the counter, you are provided with a number to place on your table and your food is brought to the table when ready. I ordered the omelet of the day (spinach, fresh mozzarella cheese and sun dried tomatoes). OMG! One of the best omelets I have ever eaten. My companion had the Bagby breakfast platter which included scrambled eggs, choice of meat, home fries and toast. The potatoes were not hot. When mentioned to the staff, they apologized and corrected it right away. Coffee (decaf for us) was great and topped off when staff noticed that our cups were close to empty. The service was outstanding and everyone there was extremely gracious. We look forward to the next meal at this charming cafe. read more

Happened to choose Cunningham's last month- Friday night out and staying local. The parking is undercover and easy- polite valets roll out the red carpet and started our night out with a friendly welcome. The venue is clean and feels current and comfortable. The hostess was friendly - but honestly our waitress was lovely. She replied to our requests with "of course" and after a work week it just seemed like she was a genuinely gracious person. The food did not disappoint - we had basic drinks, beer, wine this night. We started with a shrimp scampi flatbread pizza appetizer it was delicious. The entrees included seared ahi tuna, salmon harvest salad, 7 oz crab cake, and squash spaghettini. The food tasted delicious. We will go again and look forward to trying something new! read more

What a GEM! How refreshing is it to be able to come to a breakfast place in Towson that is not inundated by TU students. No offense to them or anything, I know they have got to eat but nothing worse than wanting to have a nice relaxed breakfast only to have to wait in a line outside the door with elbow to elbow seating. Was nice to drive up at prime breakfast hour and be waited on immediately. Walked in and greeted with awesome service and friendly banter. The breakfast burrito is ON POINT. Literally has everything in it that you could possibly crave. And I was full until dinner. Loved the outdoor seating. It was clean and staff came out to clean up plates often. The cute little glass bottles that hold the milk for coffee was a nice touch to the charm of the place. Needless to say this may be a weekly event. They have a rewards program, no email needed which is a plus if you ask me. Once less email is always good. Every $50 spent you get $5 back and from what I can tell that won't be hard. read more

Food is pretty good, and this place is a nice way to start a slow, laidback day. However, the sweet peach tea is supposed to contain ginger syrup, but I didn't really taste the ginger. Adding more syrup just seemed to make it sweeter. read more

After reading the reviews we were extremely excited to go here for my Wife's Birthday breakfast along with my family we were visiting. The staff were "over the top" friendly and accommodating. However, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food preparation. Pancakes came out over cooked and cool, eggs I ordered were also over cooked despite my specifying soft when I ordered. Gave the rating of 3 because the service was so great otherwise 2 for food. read more

Such a great little place. The rustic decor and parking across the street are a treat. But the real joy was the awesome chai and roast beef sandwich. Was in the area for an overnight stay. Went in on a Sunday morning and it wasn't crowded. I ordered a peppermint mocha and my boyfriend ordered a cappuccino. One of the best coffee drinks I have ever had! Our drinks came pretty quickly, within a few minutes, and our food came just a few minutes after that. He had the breakfast burrito, which they made without bacon by request-- boyfriend gives it two thumbs up. I got the breakfast sandwich with sausage, which was delicious. The ambience in the cafe is nice and quiet and laid-back, and the cafe also sold a variety of breads/pickled items/relishes. Staff was very friendly. I've loved Cunningham's cafe for years now, my boyfriend and I have often gone here for breakfast and I like to bring my out of town visitors here for brunch because the vibe is nice and the food is really good, and the chef presents it beautifully. However, I went this morning for brunch with my boyfriend and ordered one of my favorites, the breakfast burrito. Keep in mind, i have had this many times. When the burrito came, i was shocked and dismayed by what I saw-- it was different than it has ever been. The original version of their breakfast burrito that I loved was pretty big, and well presented on a large plate. This one was about the size of an oversized egg roll. The tortilla was cold and tasted like it came from Taco Bell. The plate was about 6 inches in diameter to give you an idea of how small it was. And it cost 9.50 not including tip. Pretty disappointed - bring back the original breakfast burrito please. And rather than rushing... maybe take longer to heat up the tortilla and present the food as it always has been done. read more

Slightly overpriced and too limited a food menu to keep going back for food variety. The bakery selection is good. Indoors it is dark, and a little cramped. But you can sit outside on a good day. A good place for a coffee, and maybe a quick bite. Bottomless coffee, but parking is 2 hours and Towson parking in general is a pain. All said and done, a good place for breakfast or enjoying a coffee outdoors. read more

I went here for breakfast for the first time the other day and it was fabulous. I had an egg white omelette with spinach bacon and white cheddar. It came with the nice side salad and some delicious toast. My macchiato was also delicious. It was quick. No complaints read more

I love, love, love, love Cunningham's cafe. Best place EVER for breakfast and lunch is great too. We've been to the regular Cunninghams and I have to say that we greatly prefer the cafe. The lattes are wonderful- the pumpkin latte is made with homemade syrup and it is the best I have ever had. They are always served with "foam art". The dishes are super charming rustic pottery- I even investigated trying to buy a set for myself for home. The menu ingredients are all high quality and I believe they are local- all for not much more than you would pay for a very average meal at Corner Bakery. The cheddar chive breakfast sandwich is a bargain and delicious. The breakfast platter is a really good choice too. I also love the hip-rustic vibe/decor of the building. My complaint- it is not nearly big enough- its always packed and often hard to get a seat because it is so wonderful. Part of me hopes for an expansion- but only if the hip decor and great food can stay just the same. They also seasonally tweak the menu and the coffee drinks which is fun.
