The customer associate searched for the return label number on his own cell phone and was able to process the return without me having to drive home and get the necessary information. It was my first return, so I was not familiar with the procedure. Customer service like that is hard to find; I was blown away by his kind and helpful service attitude. I will always remember that and shop at Kohl's whenever I can.

They aren't nice enough to be a department store like Macy's or Nordstrom, but not cheap enough to be like Target. However, this store is clean and has amazing restrooms. Also, when making a return, I got $5 in Kohl's Cash that I decided to spend on some clearance candy. Upon going to the register, I found out that I had $10 Kohl's Cash on my account, so I essentially got $15 for free and didn't have to pay for any of the things I wanted to buy! No minimum, and you can use it on clearance items. Too bad Kohl's doesn't really carry anything that I wear besides Van's, undershirts, underwear and socks, but good to know for the future!

Daron helped me select my clothing and gave me ideas about putting together colors. The store carries Habitat, one of my favorite brands, but she found for me other brands I like just as well. That doesn't mean you won't find a gem or two. Also, with the clothes, to be honest the selection is usually more suitable to my mom's taste than mine, but they get some quality young people designers in there too. During my last visit, they had some very pretty sweaters, but this year's style is boxy, which doesn't work for my shape. They have a variety of jeans, a nice selection of winter coats and vests, plus there were holiday dresses and pieces on sale. Make sure to check out the clearance in the far back corner. Sprinkled amongst the clothing is some fashion jewelry and gift items. Always worth a stop, as you never know what you will find.

I had a great experience at Joy's last month while shopping for a dress for my daughter's wedding…read more She had a terrific selection and my biggest problem was making up my mind which one to choose. I ended up with a lovely sky-blue crepe tank dress with flounced, rhinestone-adorned tiers. When I walked in and saw how much formalwear she had in there, my first thought was, "Oh, no, there's going to be nothing but conservative, matronly, stiff, MOB dresses." That was clearly not the case. When I told Joy what I was looking for (formal but fun and sort of sassy) she immediately pulled out a fantastic selection of dresses and I had the best time trying them on. She even brought out shoes so I could get the full effect. It turned out to be a really fun experience and Joy was terrific. In response to another reviewer who felt the level of service was determined by how the shoppers are dressed -- I was in a T-shirt and capris when I went in, and I got terrific service from Joy herself, so thumbs up from me on that score, for sure. Terrible Customer Service! I bought my husband a pair of Birkenstock sandals for $130 less than…read more2-weeks ago. The size we got was too big so we exchanged them 4-days later with now issues. He wore the new pair around the house and on one walk around the block and unfortunately got a blister on the top of one of toes. even with adjusting the buckles, he wasn't able to get a comfortable fit on the shoes. We tried to return them a few days later but were told by the owner that because they were worn outside he wouldn't be able to resell them and couldn't return them. He refused to provide an in-store credit saying it would be the same as giving us money back and how would that be fair to his business. His solution was for my husband to wear socks with the sandals. He has no return or refund policy posted at the counter or on his receipts so customers are aware that he won't take product back. Now I know how he can afford to open another business in Newberg. I was intentional about shopping here because I had been helped in a purchase of a pair of Birkenstocks only a few weeks prior to this purchase and loved my experience and the shoes I got. I am all about supporting local businesses but will not be shopping here again or encouraging anyone else to do so either.
