I've gotten a good amount of work and reading done in this library. I also love how close it is to Highway 85, so I can quickly stop by to return items or pick up reserved items when I'm in a hurry. The Saratoga, Cupertino, and Morgan Hill Libraries have all redefined the standard I expect libraries to have now. MLK Library in DTSJ is trash compared to these three IMO. The sheer number of books, blu-rays, and video games each library has is insane. You're missing out if you don't sign up for a Santa Clara County Library card!

The inside of the library was so neat and clean. There was a lot of natural lighting too, which made the library seem more inviting. The kid's section of the library has a large selection of books. There is a play structure with a slide, a "bonfire" area, and a play corner for new walkers. There are even a few reading books by the window. My son had a great time walking around, exploring, and reading some books. When it was time for storytime, the librarian walked my son and his baby group to a private room. It's nice knowing that they offer this service aside from the regular weekly storytime. They have a parking lot, which was about 90% full by the time I left around noon. I went on a weekday.

It's a very serene spot for watching classic cars drive by on Saturday evenings. That tradition started during Covid for entertainment and has continued since. There's parking located right on Main Street in front of the park. There's lots of shade to take cover on a hot day. This place is also well known for 'Music in the Park' on Sunday afternoons during the Summer. Los Gatos also holds their Art and Wine festival in September. Walking distance from many restaurants on Main Street as well as a convenient 7-11 down the street. A memorable place for us during Spring and Summer. On 9/11 they hold a special memorial service. You'll find many special commemorative bricks in the ground near the light statue commemorating those who lost their lives and loved ones on 9/11. A definite symbol of Los Gatos' support for the 9/11 tragedy.

There are numerous tables lined up against the windows, and plenty of computers for use although I'm not sure if those are only for catalog searches. There is also a quiet study section where there's a bunch of desks lined up like a classroom. The desks are very small (meant for one person) and frankly, I had too many things. Anyways, I came to escape the heat wave and bask in the cool air conditioning while finishing the rest of my work day. I sat in the teen room because I think I pass at 19 (lol), but I had to move shortly since there were few spots with an outlet available. I was able to snag a table against the window that had an outlet nearby. By the way, you don't need a SCCL library card to access the internet, so open to all! I definitely will be coming back to this library to do some work if I don't have any meetings. Compared to Woodland, Los Altos is open for longer and hours and has like 8x the amount of workspace. The library may be a bit outdated, but it gets the job done!

As soon as I slid the $25 over-the-counter, I asked about the room utilization and the room does not allow you to use the TV. You're not allowed to use the resources in the room that are physically there, unless you're a sponsored library program that you have to apply for. When I asked for a refund, they told me payment is nonrefundable, standing in the same conversation standing at the cashier desk. This was probably the worst Customer Service I have ever received. I also talked to three other ladies and they were all three rude in the process of this backhanded info. I am sadly very dissatisfied with this library and won't ever come back!

The male librarian is very helpful when I want to ask him on how to make a copy. The female old librarian is gossiping about Asian people and making fun at them. The young teenager is making fun at the Asian populations. Other people are gossiping about other person's life after 4pm. In general, the quality of the people who come to this library are better during the morning , but the quality of the people are getting worse as the day goes by, especially during the evening hours.

Also, if you become the payee for any grown-up and there's any problems they're gonna make you pay back the adult who got the money. you will be responsible to pay it back. And then they'll ask you to explain why you shouldn't have to pay it back. absolutely the most backwards group of people I have ever encountered. The problem with the whole system is the people who call you up and ask you to explain. They get paid to giggle as you try to wiggle yourself out of their jam. Then they deny you, and then the process just goes on and on, and on clogging up the whole system stealing the taxpayers money. They need to stop denying people. they need to grant their disability which they're gonna get in the end anyways and stop wasting money on the process. billions of dollars is being wasted on the process, and the poor judgement of the people left in charge of the judgments. Then, type your Library card number and PIN & upload your files or images. There are two print kiosks, one on the second floor just outside the children's area and there's one down below. I think it's half the cost. I paid only $.10 for two black-and-white copies (it's odd because I looked on their website after it says $.15 a copy so not sure if there's a glitch.) It was super easy to use too. Once I arrived I just walked over to the kiosk and typed in my library card number and PIN & viola. (Their printing is also wayyy more user friendly compared to San Jose Public Library.) There's an option if you don't have a library card (you'll need to go in person and someone will help you navigate it.) And of course you can make copies as well as an FYI anyone can get a library card with a valid photo ID, even if you're out of state. Also, as everyone likes to complain, parking has & continues to be a nightmare, that has never changed lol. I don't know why anyone is surprised? Just park on any of the side streets.

Renovations are finished and the Campbell Library has finally reopened!…read more This library has been totally renovated and reopened in May 2026z huge windows, natural light and a feeling of openness abounds. If you have kids, please note that the Children's section is separate from the rest of the library. It is a huge room behind glass doors. It looks quite nice. If I was still a kid, I would have loved to explore this area. The main adult section is downstairs and easy to navigate. I like the Overlook area's comfy chairs and large windows. Kudos to the city of Campbell and all the many sponsors and donors for making this renovated library a reality.
