Street parking is available and they have a few spots on the lot behind the "hot dog stand" if you're lucky enough to find an available one. There was o line to order and it didn't take long at all to get our order. What I like about this: The hotdog has that "snap" when you bit into it. Also, it has some flavor, not bland at all. And the bun was soft and fluffy! There is no indoor seating (it's a hotdog stand!) but there are several picnic tables next to the stand. read more

This is my favorite Cupid's in the valley! I live closer to the other one but this one has a magic about it so it's worth the few extra minutes drive. Cupid's is OK. The hot dogs aren't great, but they aren't bad either. If hot dogs weren't their specialty, or literally in the name of the fucking restaurant, this wouldn't be a big deal. However, since their specialty IS hot dogs, and you expect a top quality hot dog experience, this is a problem. The chili was good, not great--it didn't leave an impression on me like "Holy shit, that's great chili--I can't wait to experience this chili again." The neon green relish was eh--to each their own. Paying $12.85 plus tax for two decent hot dogs with passable chili, a lunch bag-sized portion of chips you get from a value pack, and a soda, doesn't really feel worth it when you get better tasting food and more bang for your buck at, say, Tommy's. The guys working the counter aren't friendly, but they aren't mean, either--it's just dudes doing a job. The seating is the best part--that, and the ample parking and the mural. Jumped on Yelp and wanted to try something new and found Cupid's hotdog. $3.50 a hotdog? So over priced for what you get. Ordered two chili cheese dogs and was so disappointed. Im not sure what the chili is made out of but the texture was not chili and it had no flavor to it. The dog itself was a far cry from being a dog. I've never in my life had a dog that needed so much help to make it worth eating. I added ketchup and mustard to see if that would help but I couldn't get pass the first dog. I threw away my other hotdog because I couldn't take eating anymore. To whoever out there that would think about trying Cupid's please don't! I would recommend going to Costco an hitting up the hotdog combo there because they use Nathan's hotdogs. Plus the the hotdog combo is $1.50 before tax. read more

A favorite place to go. My parents and grandparents have eaten here for so many years. I highly recommend.

One of three remaining Cupid's under the ownership of the original family. The other are in Simi Valley and Northridge. They share the original menu of three items - Cupid's Hot Dog with chili, chips and soda that's it. The outside needs some work and the sign shows wind damage, but you do not eat the sign. I found the dogs just like I remembered nice flavorful chili covering a natural casing hot-dog that snaps when you bite into it. There is a small parking lot behind the stand and tables in a small patio. Lots of pigeons, so it is best to choose one of the covered tables next to the stand. read more

Great guys working there, but these hot dogs are EXPENSIVE and terrible! Ordered just their normal Cupid Dog, and could only eat 1/4 of it. Raw, crunchy hot dog....!? After living in the valley my whole life, today was my first time trying this place. I must say "the hot dogs were okay" this place is located next to Dalgas burgers. It's been around for over 65 years or more. The restaurant doesn't have indoor seating. They do have outdoor seating with benches. A bit dark for a late dinner... Very dim lighting. Our better off eating at home or in your car! You order at the small window. They don't have French fries -- they only carry potato chips. They have only 3 styles of hot dogs -- the Reuben, triangle or the original cupid. The customer service by the girl who helped us tonight was "okay" or she had no energy. She did have our order ready within 5 mins. After, tipping her $1.00 for her service, her attitude changed a bit. I don't think I would go back for hot dogs. The chili was a bit bland and needed a bit more salt or it was probably missing some sort of ingredient. read more

I went to Cupids for 2, maybe 3 Coney island style hot dogs, but when I saw that they are $5 each, thought they must be at least as big, maybe even bigger than the Costco $1.50 hot dog and soda, so I only got one. I had really high expectations but was sadly disappointed. It was gone in a few bites and so is my $5. If I spent $20 I could fill up here, but then why wouldn't I just get a steak for that much? It wasn't really even that great of a hot dog. The chili was mostly beans and brown mush. A Coney island hot dog is supposed to have ground beef in the chili. It should have been grilled with a slightly crisp skin, not boiled and sitting there for a few hours. It kinda sucked. read more

It's an end of an era. The once perfect chili cheese dog is gone. It's something I thought might have happened after I've died; friends would say I'd be spinning in my grave over this change. Because we went on a Thursday between 2pm-6pm, we got CarHop Service with the servers showing us their skills on roller skates!!! Our family made the drive from Agoura Hills to see the show. It was really fun. Good....simple fun. I hadn't been to Cupid's in a while and I didn't realize how much I missed it. I had the Veggie Dog (Beyond Meat Sausage) Chicago Style and it was incredible!!! I've been craving another one. They even put a little celery salt on it. My teenage son had his first chili dog ever that day and loved it!!! My wife and daughter both built their own and loved it. I stopped in here when I just moved into the neighborhood. I ordered the chili dog and a regular dog with mustard, onions, relish and kraut. Buns are nicely steamed and the hot dogs have a nice snap and flavor. It's a great quality hot dog. The chili is good and although it's not my preferred way to have a hot dog, I did like how it wasn't overwhelmingly greasy. Service was quick and attentive. While I don't think I'll be back here, I did really like how there was so much history going back for so many of the locals. Those spots really make the community special. read more

They don't taste like anything! Their chili is void of any chili flavor! Looks kinda like chili. It's brown. That's about it. Is there even any chili powder in this stuff? Salt? Anything? Got some hot dogs yesterday before I went to the movies. This was the first time I have ever had a Cupid's hot dog. I liked it. It was not to big not to small. Tasted pretty good once I got some catchup on in. I had the plain chilli dog some chips and shared a drink with my friend. Price was not too bad and the guy who helped us was really nice and almost funny. I am tempted to give 4 stars just becuse of him. Over-all, I still need to try it one more time. The next time I go Im going to get at least two dogs and sit down on their little tables and make a real meal out of it. At that time I will decide if Cupid's charm has faded and we are left with a weaker 2 star or if it really deserves a strong 4 star. We will see. read more
