Going into it I didn't know that Thymes specialty was vegan pies. Not that it only does vegan pies but it's good to know that there is a place in the valley that does vegan pies. We didn't order a but we ordered three different pies. One with just veggies, one with sausage garlic and basil (which was my favorite) and the third was sausage and pepperoni. They were all good but I will say that they each could have had more sauce. They were a little on the dry side. We also ordered wings which I didn't try but everyone who ate the enjoyed them. There were a couple tables inside if you want to eat in but it's mostly set up for takeout. Not sure if it's standard but our order came with a two liter. They only had regular Coke and we were looking for diet or zero.

i will always rate any place with vegan/vegetarian meat as an option well, and thyme pizzaria is no exception. there are few places i've been to that offer such a variety of vegan options while also serving regular meat options, so it was a delight to be able to have best of both worlds for me and my boyfriend. the pizza is cooked fast and clearly very fresh, it's a small hole-in-the-wall looking place, but they also have a great lunch deal if you order before a certain time. a personal pizza size was perfect to keep me full for lunch. definitely plan on going back again any time i'm in the area!

Wow! One of the best ajarski (I have had MANY) and GF pizzas I've ever had. We will be back! Super fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a nice ambiance feels like I'm in Italy. Loved this place!

It's so great that they have a designated vegan menu with so many great options! Love their vegan drumsticks with vegan ranch. Great pizzas, everything is so fresh and well made. My recent order was the vegan Armenian Pizza, loved the olive oil and garlic base and added fresh mushrooms to it. (No cilantro since it has lots of fresh basil.) Leftovers the next day still tasted delicious. Arthur the owner is so kind and really cares about his customers and good customer service. A little treasure in the SFV!

BEST VEGAN PIZZA EVERRRRRR!! I have a dairy allergy so it's very hard to find pizzas with dairy free crust and good dairy free cheese options. THIS PLACE HIT IT ON THE HEAD. This place wins by farrrrrr. The people working there are also very kind and even offered me vegan ranch which was so delicious!! You will not go wrong with this place.

Office luncheon for the Tech Summit. This pizza was really good! We had several kinds but I only grabbed a slice of two of them. I was told that I had to try the Persian Pizza and it was described as "having a bunch of stuff on it". I didn't know what that meant but I'd try it. Come to find out it has halal mortadella and german sausage meats to which I was taken aback. I love Mortadella and the sausage was very tasty. It also had red sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, red onions, green bell pepper, black olives, and then extra mozz and thyme. I also had mushroom and olive pizza slice which was ok but that Persian Pizza was everything. Thanks Thyme Pizzeria!

The best pizza place in the valley especially if you're vegan!!!! The owners are so kind every time I go.

The Thyme Pizzeria is next level great! This west San Fernando Valley hidden gem is tucked away on the corner of Mason Avenue / Sherman Way in the city of Winnetka, near the Winnetka DMV, just a little north of Pierce College and next door to Smart & Final. I haven't had the pleasure to dine in just yet, but I've been falling in love with their menu, trying what I can and it's definitely a menu as well as place that is here to impress. Ordering takeout in foodie fashion, the order was: a medium vegan gluten free cauliflower crust w/ non-dairy (daiya) cheese, pineapple and vegan pepperoni (not GF, by Field Roast, but delicious). Vegan drumstick wings w/ buffalo sauce and vegan ranch, your taste buds will go wild. Prepared to perfection both times I've tried them! Love the organic hibiscus juice and lemonade by Tractor (they do carry other styles, sodas/pops, water and a variety of beverages). Cheese fries all day, especially the vegan way... But the pizza fries are next on my list to try. Thyme has classic non vegan options as well as vegan and it's pretty close to a 50/50 menu - almost everything single here can be veganized including the "fish" and chips as well as their Khachapuri aka Georgian Cheese Bread. If you order online you can enjoy a free lunch time delivery during the week, bogo drinks, pick up or dine in lunch specials, online specials and even check-in deals ($4 off Any Build Your Own XL Pizza on Yelp). Cozy space, cool decor, warm/helpful service and easy parking on the street or in their shared strip mall plaza lot. Open six days a week from 10 to 10, closed on Mondays only. The Thyme to enjoy is now ;)

What a disappointment! I ordered a simple vegan pizza just cheese, nothing else! Instead, I got a pizza loaded with every topping possible: mushrooms, pepperoni, onions, spicy peppers everything! It also took them almost an hour (48 minutes!) to deliver. I was having a small party for my daughter, and some of the kids are vegan -- they couldn't even eat because of the mistake. Really disappointing, I won't be ordering from them again.

Wow, I never expected that I can find this good pizza place here. It was so tasty and it was quick to pick it up. The portion is generous with a lot of toppings. I like that this pizza is spicy. I thought the sauce was spicy but it's not. It's because of Jalapeños. The flavor is balanced well.

I was celebrating my daughter's high school graduation and having a great time. The food was amazing. I ordered a beer and was never asked for my ID. Later, after I ordered a second beer, another waiter came over and asked to see my ID. Keep in mind, I was already eating and enjoying my meal. The waiter told me that the manager was the one who asked that I be carded. If that is the case, I believe the situation could have been handled much better. I understand the policy, but it was very inconvenient to be asked for my ID after I had already started eating. I had my napkin on and was in the middle of my meal. I had to stop, clean myself up, and dig through my purse to find my ID. Please be more professional and check IDs when the first drink is ordered, before customers are settled in and eating. It disrupted what was otherwise a wonderful dining experience while celebrating my daughter's graduation. The food was excellent, but this situation was frustrating and could have been handled much better. I wasn't upset about being asked for identification--I understand that it's required. I was frustrated by the timing, especially since it happened after I had already begun eating my meal.

It's a smaller restaurant with tightly spaced tables and an older crowd, but the interior is nice enough, even if not particularly memorable. We were seated promptly as our group arrived, which we appreciated. The appetizers were actually very good: the mushroom crostini and the Italian potato balls in arrabbiata sauce (not sure of the exact name) were flavorful and a great start. Later, the Caesar salad was also quite good, slightly tangy but enjoyable. Of the entrees, the Chicken Adagio stood out as the best dish -- well cooked with a nice lemon flavor. Dessert ended on a high note too: both the tiramisu and mocha cake were delicious. Unfortunately, the service experience overshadowed the food. Early in the meal, one adult in our party accidentally spilled a glass of wine that soaked the table. The owner/manager immediately reacted loudly with profanity ("F**k, just what I needed"), and instead of helping, walked around the table repeatedly complaining. No staff member offered napkins, assistance, or even basic concern -- despite one guest having wine spilled on them. After several minutes, we had to ask for a new tablecloth ourselves and even began clearing the table to help. The owner made additional rude comments about not being able to drink without spilling. When the busboy finally came, he replaced the tablecloth but did so angrily and literally tossed new plates onto the table. There was still no offer to replace the spilled wine, no replacement drinks, and no effort to make the situation right. It was extremely uncomfortable, especially since we were trying not to escalate things during a birthday celebration. For the remainder of the evening, the owner sat behind the bar staring over at the table, which made things even more awkward. At the very end of the meal he briefly apologized, but it felt half-hearted and far too late after the earlier behavior. The rest of the food was decent but inconsistent -- the penne arrabbiata was tasty though the pasta was overcooked, the chicken dish with it was also slightly overdone, and the bolognese was okay but not memorable. Overall, while some of the food was enjoyable, the hostile and unprofessional response to a simple accident made this an experience none of us want to repeat. Dining at a nicer restaurant should feel welcoming and relaxed, not uncomfortable or adversarial. Sadly, all seven of us agreed we wouldn't return.

Just not the best thing to think of when eating, different smells and such. Not hard to move it out the way. Maybe work it out with other neigbors, but, it needs to move. Inside looks lovely. I think we are on year 6, and man...while this place was rather the buzz years back, I have to update the food... Dishes: Sorry to say, but 5 out of the 6 dishes just flat out failed. We had the saltiest Gnochi, the sweetest ravioli with a sweet cream sauce AND reduced balsamic...that sauce is bad....ruined some decent raviolis. The Ceasar salad...How do you mess that up? Well, bad dressing and less attention to the details in ingredients, thats how, and they did indeed mess that up. Fusilli was OK. Not a lot to this to mess up and it survived. The Fritto Misto, for an Italian place was battered like the beer pub down the street, but the 2 pieces of chunky shrimp did taste good and 1 decent piece of calamari. The amount of oily breading on these is way grossly too much. What happen to "dust it on"?, Italian, Greek, and any European ocean side will hardly cake on any batter. There are 3-4 nice pieces and the rest are rather small weak calamari. Not too bad, but the batter is bad. Sauce was pretty much pizza sauce, not bad, but nothing to remember. Didnt have much of flavor, was Ok with the lemon. Good selection of drinks, which is a plus, Nice glasses of wine went well. SERVICE: (Or lack there of!) We got water, and drinks, and then got our starters in, but after the starters came, she was gone and never to return....As it felt. The starters were done, the glasses were empty, and tic toc...no order. Once a service brings starters, you want to be back pretty quick to check on the table, see if they need anything, and if they can place the main orders. Our table never got checked on regardless of the water pouring assistants who were flagged down. We finished and waited. Finally she did show up, we put orders in, and as expected we waited. Honestly, this night broke the back. Have no reason to return. I say this as $250 for a casual dinner is not something you can do just OK or less in. Only 1 dish had any meat in it, and that too was less than half eaten. In fact, all the dishes except the Fusilli were left with more than half their food. Not one peep of interest of why from the waiters. Just rushed cleared and its NEXT!
