I absolutely love this place! Greg is the kind of manager who immediately stands out--confident, respectful, generous, caring, and genuinely willing to go out of his way to help his customers. The entire staff is incredible, but there's one gentleman in particular--I believe his name starts with a D, he wears glasses and has brown eyes--who is seriously as authentic and genuine as they come. He's incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and somehow makes the whole experience fun. I basically want to pick him up and put him in my pocket I've visited other Curaleaf locations before, and the experience simply wasn't the same. The Skokie location has set the bar ridiculously high. The atmosphere, customer service, knowledge, and overall energy are unmatched. And I'm a pretty blunt person, so if I'm giving this much praise, I mean every word of it. Skokie wins. Hands down. read more

SCAM! Beware. I called the phone number thats on their website, trying to confirm if their office hours is really 24hrs. Then I received a txt from the same number saying they only do deliveries and no pickup. So then I ordered stuff from their website and paid it through zelle cause i was trying to pay it through my card but its not going through. After sending payment through zelle for the product. He then directed me to delivery person. Delivery person asking for a $200 insurance fee and is refundable upon delivery in cash. They were claiming it is a requirement when delivering recreational orders. So then i zelle again $200 for them to deliver the items. But after sending and asking what time is the estimated time of arrival. Salesperson and delivery guy stop responding. The next day, went to the store instead and looking for my order. The managers of the curaleaf cant figure out how did it happened. And was unable to retrieve my orders and get my money back. Now, I spent my wholeday dealing with my bank for fraudulent transactions . And closed my account. Horrible experience. While I respect everyone's right to personal beliefs, I was surprised to see overt political messaging displayed by staff during work hours--especially in an industry that typically enforces professional dress codes to maintain a neutral and welcoming environment. As a Jewish customer, I want to share how such slogans are often interpreted by many in our community. While the phrases may seem simple to some, they are frequently associated with calls for the dismantling of Israel as a Jewish state. For many Jews--regardless of political stance--Israel is not just a country, but a place of deep cultural, historical, and spiritual connection. Seeing messaging that is widely understood as rejecting our right to exist in that land is not just uncomfortable; it's painful. In today's climate of rising antisemitism, including threats and violence toward Jews, these kinds of messages in a professional setting can feel alienating and even unsafe. Your dispensary serves a diverse customer base, including many Jewish patrons. Had been going to this dispensary since 2021. Way to few employees. Today I saw a line of about 10 people and 2 bud tenders. I have never seen more than 2 ever in at least 20 visits to this place. Today I attempted to use my new medical card but they told me that they accept medical only on Monday and Thursday. No exceptions even for loyal customers. Also the person who "helped" me was rude. Curaleaf vs Zenleaf Saturday morning: Curaleaf has 2 employees working behind the counter and no one up front to check you in. Waited in line for 10 minutes and left empty handed! Fairly typical of their dispensary in Deerfield! Zen Leaf: I walk in to be greeted by an employee and a security guard. Checked in , went inside, there is a separate employee greeting me and directing me into a line where there are 4-5 employees behind the counter and I'm out of there in a minute. I let that stuff slide because I know how hard it is to work in customer service but I can't let bad customer service slide any longer. Terrific facility, friendly staff. However, minus 1 star because they suddenly canceled a punch-card promotion I was looking forward to collecting on this morning. For months I carried a Curaleaf promotional punch-card in my wallet, dutifully getting it punched with each purchase of selected products. With just two punches left to go, I went into this location this morning expecting to collect on it (one pouch of edibles for $1), but the staff person immediately dismissed it as no longer being valid. What?! There was no expiration date on the card, and no explanation for why the promotion had been cancelled. I spoke with the manager and the most he would offer was 20% off of one of the qualifying products. Horrible staff. Horrible Service. I bought an expensive product and it was defective and oxidized and horrible tasting and burned my lungs. I filed a customer service ticket and it has been a week and they have done nothing to resolve the issue. All I want is an exchange. All I get is wrong information, no one is helping and I have called over and over again and just keep getting shuffled around. They do NOT back their products and customer service is lacking. CASH ONLY!!! I was impressed by this Dispensary. Social distancing is strictly followed, and all the products are neatly lined up inside glass display box so that no one wipes their grubby hands that might have a strain of coronavirus on them. The interior was clean and brightly lit, and the employees were professional and helpful. Even the security guard next to the designated exit door was friendly and polite, which are characteristics that security guards never seem to have. I got some CBD and THC gummies that had a concentration of 5 mg of each. Twenty pieces of these gummies cost us ~$34. The employee that we were assigned with suggested that particular product because we told him that we were looking for edibles that would make us relaxed. The weed gummies certainly had a strong bitter aftertaste that I wasn't expecting, and made a newcomer like me sleepy within an hour. Parking is plentiful. In addition, they check IDs and the amount of free space available before allowing customers to trickle inside. read more

I purchased a disposable vape pen last month and opened it a little after a week of visiting the store. When I opened the product it did not hold a charge therefore I was unable to use the product. I contacted the company requesting a refund or a new pen and was denied because the purchase was made over 7 days prior, although it had not been used. I recommended specific products to three different friends (newbies) who tried and liked what I had bought. Instead, this happened: Case 1: I recommended Wana Blueberry Indica gummies. Instead, the clerk sold them Incredibles Snoozzze Berry gummies. Case 2: I recommended Wana Blueberry INDICA gummies to my other friend. Instead, the clerk stuck her with HYBRID Sour Raspberry gummies. Case 3: I recommended Nicco Bedford Grow INDICA shake to a third friend. The clerk stuck her with Smoke Pillow Factory HYBRID flower. Flower! Instead of shake. (She did say that the clerk seem "out of it.") WTF?! In these cases, my friends were complete newbies and had no idea that they had been sold something other than EXACTLY what they showed the clerks on their phones. Definitely go to their website and pre-order to avoid the wait. I know that involves commitment and if you're not sure you can keep your appointment and want to wing it, be prepared to wait. They did a nice job on the renovation of this old bank, inviting atmosphere, with an efficient layout. With my pre-order I was in/out in under 15 minutes from parking in their lot. Nice folks, all easy peasy. Make sure to sign up for their loyalty program to receive cash back discounts. read more

I've been here at the Skokie location five times. My last visit, 12/15/2022, was very disappointing. The line was 8 or 9 customers deep in just waiting to get my ID checked. Once inside, There was only one Representative on the floor to help customers. The other representatives where in the back office and I had to ask the one and only representative to please find me help. She was with a customer but I had no other option. I've usually had 5 star service here, but this time it was below average at best. Quite disappointing and I pretty much think the service was what kept me coming here. This dispensary was found because my current/former one (Sunnyside Chicago) looks like it's in the process of closing because they have less and less product to choose from. Awful. This place is overpriced and will not honor your medical license. They say that they don't have a permit for medical. Whatever. Then get one. It is simply a matter of whether you collect and submit the tax to the state for certain individuals. They won't even price match the medical discount until they straighten out this nonsense. So between the hefty atm fee and making medical patients pay cannabis tax they shouldn't have to pay, these products will cost you quite a bit. This place is a complete disaster. read more
