Every time I think I've tried all that Annapolis has to offer I always stumble upon a new establishment. I'm not sure how long Curate Annapolis has been at this location but they are a solid business for those who enjoy coffee shops that offer much more than coffee. We arrived fairly early so everything you see in the pictures was freshly prepared. It is my understanding that some of the items do rotate but they always have some variation of the items you see while supplies last. I noticed they are using Ceremony Coffee another local establishment...it's packed with a strong coffee flavor so I had no objections. I did a basic coffee with a splash of cream and a little maple syrup. My food was warmed up in the oven and served perfectly with the best flaky crust I've had in a long time. More customers arrived throughout the morning so you could immediately tell this place is doing something right because majority were repeat customers. There's seating indoors, few tables outside, I saw a few dogs enter (for the pet lovers), and a few parking spaces right in front of the shop. Easy decision...yes I will be back. read more

Overwhelmingly Caucasian and serves limited food options. The sandwich I got was $15 and depressing. I definitely expected more from a 15 dollar sandwich. It was mostly bread, which also happened to be a cheap hamburger bun.... The side salad has blue berries and nuts in it with only one dressing option. I wouldn't have gotten it if I had realized it wasn't just a standard side salad (that's my fault though). Amazing if you're looking for free Wi-Fi and nothing else. You also buss your own table, which is annoying but at this point I'm biased due to my disappointment. Go to 49 west. It has a much more friendly atmosphere with better food and beverage options at a better price. read more

This coffee spot in Annapolis is in an excellent location. There is parking directly out front on the street, but I don't know about the rear . They made the drinks from scratch and they have some great pastries. I believe we tried one or two. And there is a small amount of seating on the inside. Maybe about four or five tables and chairs. The baristas are highly skilled and polite. read more

What's not to love? Very cute, nice selection of pastries, loved the Pumpkin Crumb muffin and the coffee coffee was respectable. Very friendly attentive service. They take apple pay so, it's great to stop in after a walk or jog. read more

Not the best experience here. Their biggest shortfall is service. Did not have any decaf, then ordered a flat white (way over priced...almost $6!) After we paid, they started asking us how to make it. When it was too strong, we asked for a bit more milk, and the cashier began shaking her head and accused us of trying to get a 'latte' at the price of a 'flat white.' A very petty gesture to accuse paying customers of lying when they could have expressed enthusiasm in ensuring their patrons have the best experience possible. Needlessly pretentious and bad business sense. Truly unpleasant experience. Not customer friendly. There are so many options for great coffee in Annapolis. Recommend trying them over this place. read more

There were 4 in our party, including a 10 year old. We went to the wine pairing on a Saturday night. Two of us were not wine drinkers and there were ample non-alcoholic choices. We ordered every board and two of the desserts. The food was scrumptious. The service friendly. The ambience comfortable. Every table was full, to include the outdoor tables. I was so struck by the myriad careful choices the owners had made from cutlery to pottery to custom mats under the flowers. This new place is slated to be a go-to destination in Annapolis. Today this gem opened in our great city. I have been a big fan of Brown Mustache Coffee since they opened several years back- the same owners and new partners have now opened this fresh unique coffee-pastries-wine shop right on West street across from The Graduate hotel. It's cutesy and minimal which I like- I tried the GF Orange muffin which was so moist and delicious. Black coffee was smooth and tasty and brought Everything savory muffin/twist for my hubby- he loved it. Joel and Colleen (the owners) were behind the countermand provided a cheerful and safe service. Loved the atmosphere, the sidewalk dining, the excellent and creative latte, and of course the St. Paddy's day cupcakes with the Lucky Charms (one topper per cupcake). If a hug were a drink... it would be the bonfire tea latte at Curate. I never (and I mean never) choose to order tea over coffee with this single exception. The coffee though is incredible too. I can't speak for the food but my husband and I popped in here quickly for cappuccinos to go and they were both very good, and the prices were much cheaper than other coffee houses. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We didn't stay as we had our dog and it was too cold to sit outside. Service was quick. read more

Do you know how hard it is to find an espresso tonic in Maryland?! Extremely hard which is incredibly annoying, however, CURATE HAS ONE! They even added thyme and Lavendar to mine in addition to the orange zest. I loved it and will be stopping here each time I visit Annapolis. No one will understand my obsession with this fancy little creation but Curate nailed it. read more

Fantastic cafe!! I had their gingerbread latte (with oatmilk) and breakfast sandwich. The latte had a great strong espresso taste and the gingerbread syrup was homemade- not too sweet, wonderfully flavorful. The breakfast sandwich was on a delectable homemade bun. The old lady at the counter needs hospitality training. They make good stuff but this is hospitality business. If you have a frown on your face and don't provide a good service you are going to be not in business for long. We ordered a few things - out from the start there was a frown on the face, did not even ask us if our order was to go or eat in - gave everything in a paper bag, asked us to collect our drink. Every other table in the restaurant was being served. When we asked "did you assume we were not eating in?" Pat came the answer "in some cases we do!". I guess it's the color of our skin that said we should not be eating in. :-). Either it was that or our two kids were not welcome - not sure what it was. Good luck staying in business if you antagonize tourists. Horrible place - will never visit again. read more

I had no idea this was a coffee shop during the day, because I've only been there at night when it serves wine and cheese. The cheese plates are terrific; although, they could use a little more meat (and some pickles would be awesome). Those kind of thoughts occur to you only after you've been enjoying yourself for a while and wonder what's missing from the cheese boards you're used to getting in other restaurants. It doesn't matter, because these are such charming plates. There are great touches like honeycomb on one board and a red pepper paste to offset hummus on another. Everything is really well balanced, cleanly presented, and quickly served. The wines on offer aren't going to blow your mind, but they are going to be very drinkable especially with friends. I've been there twice, and both times it was hopping. I would've gone a third time with friends, but it was closed...The hours are kind of confusing. Also, I need to check it out during the day when it turns into a coffee shop, because on one trip, I had a really great cappuccino while we shared some of their great desserts. read more

Came here for some coffee one morning a few weeks ago when I was in town with the bf and a friend. It looked like it had recently opened, and since it was so close to where we were staying, we figured we might as well check it out. I decided to get one of their single origin drips as well as a savory scone, and I got my bf an iced butterscotch latte, while my friend got a sweet baked good and a cold brew. My drip coffee was very, very good, and the savory scone was delicious. The bf and my friend also enjoyed their respective choices as well. It looks like they have a rotating list of beans that they brew with, so I imagine their offerings change fairly frequently. I had a great first impression here and would recommend this to anybody who is jonesing for a good cup of coffee in the area. read more

We stopped in at Curate after dinner for dessert. We actually were walking by and an employee came out and invited us in. We ordered the macarons, which had three different mini pastries, two of each. Every dessert had a suggested wine pairing so we also ordered the wine. I'm not one to write reviews, but I'm going to make an exception here-- I was having not the greatest morning so decided to treat myself for lunch.. I got the spring salad that is so tasty .. added some strawberries from the farmers market and it's the perfect salad. Would love to buy the dressing- it's incredible! My iced coffee was good.... they have the royal farms good ice which takes it up a notch and real straws which is helpful too. Also, good wine selection- got the Tempranillo for later! Was looking for good coffee nearby and saw Curate which just so happened to be across the street from the Graduate, where I was staying. I love the idea of a coffee and wine shop and if I had had the time I would have definitely sat inside or visited them at night, alas I only got takeout coffee. The menu is minimal but that is not what you're limited to. I had to get the barista's help in ordering, despite the fact I could not hear him - at all (sorry ). Yes they do have iced drinks even though it's not on their menu. I got an iced latte with oat milk. Sweetener was not needed and it was very good, the $1 surcharge for oat milk was a little astonishing as I've never been charged that much extra for it. He also helped me pick out a lighter roast drip coffee. And I also walked out with a blueberry scone which was really good and would have been nice heated but I wasn't asked. The other desserts looked good as well. It's relatively small inside but I could see that this would be a good spot for coffee, or wine, to just hang at for a bit or catch up with friends or colleagues. read more

I'm not lying I want to move to Annapolis so I can walk to this coffee shop every day. The coffee maker machienry is so elegant--built into the marble countertop. It's really fun to watch the artistry of the baristas here! And make sure to get some cheddar and chive scones. They are amazing! read more

It did take a little bit before someone came and greeted us but our server was friendly and another individual (maybe a manager) was consistently helpful throughout the evening. We ordered a bottle of red wine to share and we were asked if we wanted a decanter to which we replied yes. He poured it in at our table with an aerator. For food, I ordered the City Dock Pizza and my friend ordered the Beef Bolognese. The City Dock Pizza was good - thinner crust but plenty of flavor. The Beef Bolognese was a lighter colored sauce than I anticipated. The pasta was good and the sauce was also good but not what I would consider a traditional Bolognese. We did order the Cheesecake and a couple glasses of prosecco and they were sweet enough to put in a candle for my friend's birthday. The cheesecake is DEFINITELY recommended, it was very good and came as a suggestion. It did not disappoint. Overall, had a great time and would definitely come back and everyone was really friendly.

Crispy Kale - this is very popular here and we really enjoyed it. The cumin yogurt really brought it together. Pickled Squid - Not what we expected but I actually really liked this dish. We did also order the Coconut Panna Cotta for dessert. The raspberry was pretty prominent here and wasn't as custard like as expected, just a little too soft but the flavor otherwise wasn't bad. Overall, everything was pretty good and I would visit again to try other items on their menu.

The last table was not normally used since it looks into the kitchen area where Jessica, the incredible food expediter or expro, handling the dining room plates and the stream of to go orders and to go tickets reaching the floor with precision and passion. It kept us well entertained, and I appreciated she moved my filet mignon burgers to be under the heat lamps while she waited for my husband's fish. Marjorie, our server, was friendly and gracious and made our experience very enjoyable. My husband had the branzino which was impressively two filets of fish and fantastic. Delicious bottle of wine for only $35. Chocolate lava cake completed the evening. I had one of their burgers and fries, and it was delicious. Add a bourbon cocktail and TVs playing college basketball, and I was a happy girl. Truly a good place for a meal or drinks. Cozy, warm, with solid food, drinks, and service. I'd be happy to return.

My cousin turns 21 today so I decided to order her a birthday cake from here. The Strawberry Champagne cake seemed perfect for the occasion. I also grabbed a medium box which came with 6 petite fours and 8 macarons & a coffee. They gifted them so nicely with a gorgeous bow! Can't wait to venture back for some more goodies.
