Could've been a better experience. I got my helix piercing here about 2 1/2 months ago. I splurged and got myself the larger, more expensive piercing piece (60 extra, not the included ones). After a few weeks, my daughter tugged on the piece and it fell. I couldn't find it, my ear was hurting and I went back to the shop. Totally let this one pass because it was at my own fault and my daughter tugging on the piece caused the loss - but when I got to the shop with proof of purchase and the backing, they were unwilling to swap out the piece. Okay, I can even understand that, I always try really hard to not be a "Karen". I went ahead and got one of the smaller pieces. Someone switched them but they were a bit rough. She said "I'm just pushing until it "clicks". With all my other piercings, I have heard the click, but now that she mentioned it, I didn't remember hearing it with this one either time. She said it was a finished, but I asked her to double check. She seemed perturbed and said "it's fine, it's in". Two weeks later, it falls out, piece goes down the drain and I didn't even touch it - just fell out. I go back to the shop and they have me purchase another piece. This time, I say - "isn't there anything cheaper? I can't keep spending money on the piercings". The owner brings up how the first one was my fault and insinuated this one was too. Again, I let it go and got it re-pierced, paying another $40. At this point, I'm over $200 in for one piercing. Fast forward three weeks and guess what happens? Out it pops. I told the piercer it didn't click again and it looked lopsided. She said, "it's fine". But throughout the next two weeks it kept slipping. Not only that, but at the last visit, she also proceeded to "pop" my bumps with a needle (which you are NOT supposed to do) and then gave me a "diluted" tea tree oil - which, shocker, wasn't diluted. It ended up irritating it much worse than any other week and within two weeks it was so red and swollen that when the piece popped out... I gave up on it. At this point I'm just letting it heal and will look elsewhere for my next piercing. I recognize that most of the reviews are great, but I have to share my experience. It kinda felt like one big cash grab to keep me coming back to buy pieces. I'm kinda bummed that at this point I've spent $220 on a piercing I couldn't even see to the end. Edit to reply: I never demanded an upgraded piece. The first time i had to come back, I was given the one that was originally included with the piercing. I figured you wouldn't replace the first one, as I said - I totally understood, but for the piece to fall out continuously (two more times to no fault of my own after they were improperly placed and me asking the piercer to double check? The store is so pretty. Very clean, very organized, nicely decorated. The people there are very friendly and knowledgeable, buuuuut, the piercings aren't great. I got a smiley and right away noticed it was way off. After asking a few times about it the owner offered to redo it for free. I took it out for 3 days and it healed so she redid it. Again, I could tell it was diagonal right away. When I asked why it was like that she said, it might just be my "skin". So I let it heal completely and after about a month I asked another piercer to check it out. Her eyes got big and she was shocked. She said I should definitely take it out and get it redone somewhere else!! ‍ My mom also got it done there and had the same thing happen. 3 for 3 on messed up smileys. $100.00+ tip down the drain plus $60.00 to get it redone at another shop. read more

I didn't have an appointment but they were able to take me as a walk even when there was several walk-ins that busy day and I really only waited 10 min to be attended. I was pierced by John and he did absolutely AMAZING. He explained everything in great detail as to sizing, placement, pain level after care and what to do incase of healing issues and when to come back for resizing. At the owner; since your ass wants to cover up the mistake your employee made then let me know the date and time you'll be at your damn store. I'll make sure to pull up my credit card receipt. You want to act like someone wants to make things up. Your store is right next to the tattoo shop. When I walked in, there was a few ladies sitting on the chair and it was right before closing. The gentlemen had curly pink hair and even gave his card. White about 5'9. His exact words were " you should not have any allergic reaction to what you're purchasing." You know what, now I really want my damn refund. Don't play with me because it was never about making up a story or a refund. This is exactly what happened at your damn store. I drove all the way to North Park after my nose healed to get a real nose ring. Update: let's get something correct here::: now all of the sudden you are able to find the footage and the employee in question.. first of all, unless you have audio then prove it where I said that I would take the risk. You don't even have your story straight and you wanted to run your mouth right off the bat. He mentioned to come back for a refund the same night if I had an issue!!!! How can I decline a refund the same night it was offered to me. How did I know my nose would be swollen up with blisters. He did a bunch of back and forth walking around the store not knowing if you guys had the rings; he did ask me if I wanted to preorder them and I said no because I wanted something right then and there. The nose ring that I had in my nose was broken which I showed to him and I needed something right away. The first thing I mentioned to your employee was my allergic reaction and he guaranteed me the one he was selling me would be fine and he clearly was wrong. He clearly was trying to push a sale at my expense!!!! Nobody wants you to do a damn thing at this point.. I just want everyone who walks into your business to be careful!! Clearly I would be wasting my time coming to your store going back and forth with you. Nobody gives a crap about $15 and you as an owner should've realized that by now. Educate your people!!! I was pierced by Jenn and Kiana back when Jenn was still working for the original curated. Kiana was an apprentice at that point and did absolutely amazing piercing my right nipple. Mind you I was her first ever nipple client. Jenn did my left nipple and it's off centered. I was told at the point of piercing that the jewelry was titanium. After going to the doctor because I thought my left was infected, it turns out it was surgical steel, not titanium. I feel betrayed and let down by Jenn who is supposed to be the leader and role model for all of the people she had working for her. It's truly disheartening. I will not be getting pierced by Jenn again, and I highly suggest you don't either.
