He rebuilt it from scratch with cedar planks and added the ventilation grilles, new trim, and handle. It fits perfectly and it completely transformed the exterior of the house. Every other contractor said to go buy one and cut it down but that wouldve made the door weaker. The attention to detail was relieving. Didn't have to tell him EXACTLY what to do and check on him. Minde is an artist. Every now and then, you get someone you really like. Last thing, on price he was very competitive. Not the highest, but not low balling either. He fixed the light above our kitchen sink that hadn't worked for a long time. And the light in our refrigerator was acting like a strobe light. He placed some tape over the button that controls that light so now the light doesn't go on when we open the fridge but I'm glad that the flickering has stopped! Also, he noticed that the kitchen faucet had a weak water flow on the "stream" setting. He told me what to do to get it back to normal. I really appreciated that help. I was tired of having to use the "spray" setting all the time. Overall I'm very happy with the work Minde did and also happy with his fee. This very pleasant handyman is formerly a Russian, and he is perfectly happy to be alive and working in the home of the brave.
