This was a disappointment. After agreeing on the phone, certain projects could be handled. Turns out there wasn't much Brad could do once he showed up. Wasting my time I could've booked somebody else who was skilled in the simple Handyman projects I needed a hand with. Giving two stars only because he did show up on time and when he said he would. Brad got super defensive and was rude when I asked the rationale for him charging $140 to re-caulk the bathroom shower and fix in place the shower drain cover, which he told me would be an 1hr job... I found his reaction to be unprofessional and his rate much higher than other professionals in the area (ranges from $40 to $60/hr). I saw Brad's reviews on Yelp and loved how he offered a free inspection. He also responded promptly via the "request a quote" feature on Yelp. Most businesses/handymen gave outrageous quotes before taking a look or asking for pictures. He took a look and advised me on landlord duties in California and options for replacing/fixing the door. He also answered my questions on adding screens to my house and recommended a Long Beach business to inquire about. Regarding my door, he ended up shaving the wood of my door so that it could fit in the frame properly. He charged a fair price and cleaned up the mess on the floor! Do NOT hire this guy for any drywall job. There are few reviews regarding this guy with bad drywall experience. This guys said the project will take him 2 to 3 days to finish. It about 3 weeks in and only about 80% finished. I had took a day off from work to help him with the drywall roofing. What is the point of hiring him. Take a look at pictures. Very bad job and inexperience. I had to get a professional to fix his work afterwards. Make sure he doesn't buy any materials for you and double check your receipt. I'm so happy my husband found Brad to help us install some security doors in our house. Brad is very reliable and he makes sure the job gets done. See how rude and unprofessional his response is? No one wants paint down new kitchen sink with dishes, whether it's toxic or not. Bathroom would've be better. You didn't even ask if it was ok to caulk the cracks in my laundry room drywall. I would've preferred professional repair of drywall with drywall and paint, not bathroom caulk! The only reason I was telling you how to do your job was because you didn't do it well. I don't need to be an expert to recognize poor work. The pictures say it all. The old plywood extension in front of my two storage sheds was a very bad need of repair and replacement; the wood in places was about ready to give way if you walked on it. I went on Yelp and did some research on finding a handyman, saw Brad's reviews and decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. He responded quickly, arrived on time for both the estimate and the work and completed the job in just a little over two hours.
