Another amazing box, Anatoly! I can't say I even had a favorite cheese or meat because everything was so delectable and tasty. The presentation makes this extra special, as it's so carefully arranged in a visually pleasing way. Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday!

The beautiful board even came with extra bread, crackers in a nice basket, and a map of the cheeses.

Wow! A week later and friends are still raving about the beautiful board. It is awesome to see one put together with a wide variety of cheeses. From the black lemon, to sweet dessert, and savory hard cheeses, the flavors were incredible. I just wish we had someone like Anatoly up in the bay area. Bravo!

With all the cheese from cured and cultivated we had a small cheese and wine dinner with our friends!!! Such a fun night and experience!

We popped in to grab a small cheese plate to take along to our wine tasting, and it turned out to be such a great decision. Everything was thoughtfully curated--the cheeses were exquisitely paired with locally produced accompaniments like olives and nuts, which really elevated the whole experience. It was so good we completely forgot to take a "before" picture... but trust me, the empty box at the end says it all--total satisfaction! Simple, delicious, and perfectly suited for a wine country outing. Such a great treat!

But if you're planning a visit, build in serious buffer time. We stopped in on Memorial Day and, with several parties ahead of us in line, didn't place our order until nearly 20 minutes after arriving. By the 45-minute mark, our food still hadn't come out for two paninis and a soup. What made it especially frustrating was watching parties who arrived after us get their cheese orders and drinks served before anyone had even started assembling our sandwiches. It was clear the shop was understaffed for the holiday weekend, with one person managing the counter and another in the back prepping. We ended up asking to take the sandwiches cold just to get out the door, only to have both stuffed into one small bag, sloppily wrapped. The soup, unfortunately, came out lukewarm regardless. None of this felt malicious. The shop has an unhurried, artisanal quality that's part of its appeal, but that can't fully account for the gap between the experience and a nearly hour-long wait for a simple lunch order while others moved ahead of us. Come for the cheese, come for the atmosphere. Just don't come hungry with anywhere to be.

Ordered the Lindsay and the Italian to split between the two of us. Lindsay was good. Reminded me a little bit of some other sandwiches from slo although not quite the same however that one was tasty. Flavor was good and the balance was pretty good. Next comes the Italian. Well. I was sadly disappointed with this one. The amount of bread that was on it was a lot. Usually most places that make Italians with hoagies, will go ahead and remove some of the bread so that it has enough space for the meat and everything else. This one was probably 2/3 bread, the rest was the actual accoutrements. I was not a fan of the muffaletta. But that's on me because I'm not a muffaletta fan. Meats were good but the whole sandwich didn't mesh for me. Staff was really nice, the selections of cheese were awesome but that place was hot! Not sure what was going on with the AC that place was hot! It's worth a stop based off the quality meats, location and staff.

The Public Market hosts a diverse selection of eateries and merchants. Some of the restaurants have limited days/hours, so it is advisable to check before venturing to a specific eatery. The entrances are not well marked and it can be a labyrinth to navigate to the parking areas. Many times, there are not enough spaces for the current usage nor anticipated growth. Thus, parking can sometimes be a challenge. Near one parking area is the largest number of Tesla Superchargers in San Luis Obispo. There is a main dining hall to enjoy the many options available, as well as an outdoor patio with picnic tables to savor SLO's beautiful weather. The staff could be more attentive to cleaning the dining table after guests depart. The restrooms are usually very clean and attended to. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

What a delightful surprise to find Vintage Cheese in the Eateries collection building. I love cheese, but it doesn't love me. It turns out that Vintage Cheese crafts most of their offerings from goat or sheep milk / very little from cow's milk. Fingers crossed, the Manchego I bought will work out for my system. They also offer a wide array of meats and other additions to create you own amazing charcuterie board. I picked up a mild salami, a box of gourmet crackers, a bag of garlic-spiced cashews, and a package of vegan fig salami. Mind blown! Who knew there was such a thing? Not me, until yesterday. Can't wait to get back home and set up a plate of all this deliciousness, adding some fresh grapes and cherries to the mix. The young man who helped me explore their merch was very informative and took pride in his explanations. I bought more than intended because of him bringing to light their unique offerings. Check them out when you are in the area. It's a great concept, well executed.
