This is a delightful selection of high-quality olive oils, balsamic vinegars, spices, and even body products. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend doing so. They offer a club membership that you can join for three months out of the year, during which you'll receive a customizable membership box. The customer service is exceptional, and the oils are absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. Check out website for more information 6/23/24 *You get 10% off all visits free tastings and a cookbook and three or four times a year new recipes when you are a member. Free to sign up.

Great olive oil, with a membership program that's great for locals as well as another program if you're not a local! We did a tasting in the downtown location but can't wait to visit the Ranch!

Come here for all your olive oil needs. We dropped into Pasolivo's shop after experiencing a corporate event demo a few months ago. At that time, I was able to take home a bottle of the tangerine oil. Once it ran out, I knew I wanted to visit Pasolivo to get more. Barbara led our tasting last week and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. There are several flavors and each olive oil is high on the polyphenols-- translation: they're very good for you. Our favorites were the tangerine, cucina (buttery) and the lime.

Just walked out. We stood there for 15 minutes waiting to get someone's attention. Their sale associates doesn't greet anyone. I get that even if you're busy with another customer but should at least say hello or just a friendly smile would work. We wanted to purchase some souvenirs home and check out their olive oils. But we decided to go somewhere else. Cute store though.

Beautiful store, excellent service, unlimited opportunities of flavors tasting. They also gave you brownies from citrus olive oil, sugar spices to dip in, bottle of water, etc. Spectacular experience!! Cannot be any more happy about in this store! Also tasting in this store is free while taste in the ranch is $5. All oil are processed in the ranch nearby where olive trees were grown, olives handpicked and processed. The only suggestion I have to the business is maybe sell smaller bottles of oil. We sadly walked away empty handed because we didn't know how to use up a big bottle and it's $44.95. Would be happy to buy a smaller bottle for $25.

The salesperson was very helpful and informative. Offered us to taste the oil by dipping it in bread - three different oil tasting for free, $10 for unlimited taste testing. Got to taste brownies made with tangerine oil. Very nice and citrus flavor. If tangerine is your flavor, this is for you! I bought my favorite Tuscan oil. For my own use, it's a good multi purpose oil.

Super cool dipping bowls inspired by the terraced land of Italy.

Hubs and I had a wonderful getaway in Paso recently. One of our favorite things to do is go olive oil tasting at the local ranches. One of our favorites is Pasolivo. We visited both the ranch and their downtown store this time around. What a pleasant experience we had at the downtown store. It was during the pandemic, so all precautions were taken (hand sanitizing, mask wearing, even oil tasting outside). Eleanor was working that day. What a sweet one she is. She took her time to answer all our questions, set us up with a wonderful tasting and was fun to chat with. She really made our experience a rich one. She was personable and considerate. It made all the difference. Besides the wonderful oils Pasolivo makes (that's a given), we LOVE their hand sanitizer spray! The peppermint one smells wonderful and leaves our hands super soft as well as sanitized. With all the natural ingredients it's made with, I don't mind spraying throughout the day. Then there's my other favorite: the dipping dish (see pic). What a great little product! It's beautiful and so fun to use. I could go on and on. You have to check this store out when you're downtown. Hopefully you'll have just as great an experience as we did. A huge THANK YOU to Eleanor too!

They specialize in olive oil and are essentially the downtown tasting room for the Pasolivo Ranch. If you stop by you can try their olive oil tasting flight for free! A similar thing up at the Ranch (probably fancier) will be $5. Heads up it seems like they make a limited amount every season and keep a supply of every flavor for tasting. Their Basil flavor is reportedly especially popular. While we were able to taste it, they didn't have any of the big bottles available for purchase. It's just up the street from Downtown City Park, so all the diagonal and normal street parking is available to them. Easy place to drop by if you're just around the green area to eat and shop. It's pricey, but even the olive oil in wine country comes in a variety of tastes, in wine bottles, and with corresponding awards and certification. Apparently, Pasolivo is run by an olive oil sommelier and everything. The tasting was so bougie with the bread slices come individual bags with branded stickers and branded water bottles, along with herbs and their own garlic salt to go with the different oils. XD It's a great local, Californian product/souvenir you can get if you or the person you're gifting doesn't want wine. Additionally, they also produce and sell a variety of vinegar, salt, spices, bath and body products, and condiments (sauces, olives, honey). There was also kitchenware (ex. wooden dishes, coasters, packs of very pretty napkins, etc.) and house stuff (ex. candles, table cloths, picture frames). Not sure they made those, but it does just make this a really great souvenir shop on its own. Overall, would recommend visiting and I do consider it a unique Paso Robles experience. Lady who helped us was SUPER helpful and very thorough in relaying information. It truly was like a wine tasting but with olive oil, down to her going over the process about how the herbs or whatever are crushed along with the olives rather than having the flavoring added separately. However, my favorite remains the discovery of their garlic salt. It goes great with eggs lol. It was definitely a great place to go before the holidays, and they seem like they have a steady stream of local customers.

Tried your garlic olive oil on Tuesday October 26. It was super delicious and had to buy a bottle. The clerk gave us bread for our tasting. Where do you get your bread?

Hello! We are so glad to hear you are enjoying the products! We get our bread from a wholesale bakery in Templeton called La Migliore. They typically only do wholesale, except they are at some local farmers markets on the weekends!

6 Star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert…read more SIX STAR ALERT. SIX STAR ALERT. That right people, I said it.... And 6 times to be exact! Because let me tell you, the Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles not only deserves those 6 stars, but they truly EARNED each & every star (plus a bonus star) that I am awarding them for their exceptional hospitality. Now, let me tell you why! While in Paso for my wife's weekend birthday getaway, we had such fun time casually strolling the streets with no where to be. While window shopping, going in and out of the various shops, and just meandering through the downtown area.... We suddenly came across a little business called: The Spice of Life From the outside, it was pretty obvious what we were about to get into... ----Spices----Herbs----Teas---- Hey, they had me at Spices, but the rest is what kept me from leaving there anytime soon. Upon entering this quaint little shop, we were immediately immersed into a world that I Love. Spices, Spices and more Spices!!! Yeah, I'm that guy that at home, not in public of course, that will put a little spice on my hand and lick it off (to test it of course). I know, but I'm just a spice freak, what can I say! Yeah, give me a good lemon pepper, a blended steak seasoning or even a Kansas City Bbq Rub and I'll gladly give it the "Lance Lick of Approval". Yeah, I'm a Spice Man, & I'm not afraid to admit it. And let me tell you, this place has got spices!! Yeah, there are Jars and Jars, & more Jars of the finest, most incredible spices you can dream of. But on Top of the Spices... There are Oils, Vinegars, Teas, Tea Accessories, Herbal Supplements, Books, and More! And with all that shopping... Why not grab a quick bite alongside a freshly brewed coffee or tea at their mini cafe right on the premises. Heck, we did! (We had the Vanilla Chai Tea Latte) And it was Fire! So what makes this place earn a well deserved 6 star review?? It wasn't just their great product. Or even their beautifully prepared drink. It was their hospitality, their graciousness, and the human connection that we felt that went above the typical customer vs. retailer interaction. The lady who assisted us (forgive me but I forget her name) but she might have been maybe the owner or maybe even manager of the place was so kind, helpful and made our experience exceptional, so thank you for that! With so many great gift ideas and things that we needed for our own household, you know we did some damage and got a few things to take back home. So.... If you are a fan of spices like me, love yourself some tea, are looking for some unique, fun gift ideas or just want to enjoy a nice, quaint shop where the service hopefully exceeds your expectations like it did for me... Then take my highly recommended suggestion and get over to the... Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles ASAP!!!
