This is the super unique find in Franklin Tennessee! My husband has gone for coffee (he is a true coffee snob, he roasts his own coffee beans), and said their coffee was pretty good! We have come in the evenings, a couple times now, and it's super fun that they invite a food truck each night, you need to call ahead to find out which type of truck. I really wanna try the pizza truck! Typically, the ginger pig is the truck that's there, multiple friends have raved about the hamburger that comes with a unique green sauce on the side. Multiple friends have also raved about their wings! There's a super cute kids section play area. The bar seems to have a lot of variety of different types of beer on top. I sampled a few, but really enjoyed the grapefruit Italian soda, which had 4.2% alcohol. It was really smooth and delicious! Everyone that works there is super friendly, and it's a cool place to hang out and gather with friends! read more

We love Curio Brewing! It's located in a warehouse type industrial park, not much "curb appeal". But the staff is delightful, the beer selection is always great and they seem to have a food truck option most of the days we stop by. There is some outside seating in the front and I believe there is also seating out the back. Family friendly, dog friendly in the outside areas. Curio makes one of my all time favorite beers, Kilt the Cat, so that may bias my experience but I am always up for a Happy hour visit to Curio! read more

Curio Brewing is one of those spots you can come to any time of day - morning, afternoon, or evening - to find a refreshing beverage and experience quality time with others. Service is always friendly! They have a chill vibe with lots of space, board games to play, a playroom for kiddos, some outdoor seating, the main room, and the back room that's like a garage feel with picnic tables and their fermentation room for brewing their own craft beers. While we have previously enjoyed their Woke AF craft beer over trivia (Wednesday nights), today we came for their locally roasted espresso lattes - an iced cuban and an iced vanilla (homemade syrup) latte! We have throughly enjoyed everything we've tasted and now they have The Ginger Pig food truck housed in their lot - can't wait to return and try them out soon! read more

We come here fairly regularly for trivia. It is extremely kid friendly with a designated area for kids with old school video games and other small activities. It can be chaotic, but most of the parents keep their offspring in check. Our kid is a month old and isn't running amok yet, so we count our blessings. He deals with the noise well here, but when it gets busy, it gets loud! It is a smaller space with more seating in the back of the brewery and limited patio seating in front of Curio. When it comes to parking, there is one lot shared with other businesses. A food truck occupies 3 of them. I haven't asked, but if we can't find parking in this one lot, we park in the field next to it. No concerns yet on getting towed or trespassing. We just risk it and hope for the best. We've only done this twice. They offer pastries, coffee, and beer. In the fridge near the counter, they have alternatives such as sodas and sparkling water. A couple of kid friendly options as well such as juices. Additionally, they sell flowers! Service is good and chill. It's a pretty straightforward setup, and no frills about it. It's usually a single man show running the bar, but he does well by it and isn't overwhelmed. Sometimes there are two people. I've only been during trivia on Wednesdays, so that is what I am going on. It's a cool place. As I said, it gets loud. They have all types of drinks available sans liquor. Their beers have quirky names, and they do sell cider from other breweries. If you're one for usually a chill space, come on a night that isn't trivia. If you don't want a little chaos, then you'll do fine here. PS, they do have a diaper changing station in the gender neutral bathrooms. read more

Ethan always makes a great coffee creation and beers on tap are really good! Plus good seating and a very chill vibe! If you're hungry, you can grab a delicious bite with the Ginger Pig Truck! Yesterday was my first visit to Curio Brewing Company. Such a great place! The coffee, food and beer are all on point. (Yes, I had all three. I make no apologies.) The pigstrami (pork pastrami) breakfast burrito was VERY good. Best of all was the service bestowed upon our party of four. The ambience is really laidback, and a corner of the place has some games for kids and a couple of arcade game machines. So the whole family can enjoy themselves. (While we were at Curio, a young couple with their four smallish humans came in and seemed to have a good time.) I had wanted to try this brewery for sometime. But it was a huge let down. Some of the rudest customer service. I asked a question about their selection and was told to hurry up. When asked about if the brewery had a flight, the bartender told us that she did not want to provide one. You can find Curio Brewing Company at 216 Noah Dr, Franklin, TN 37064. It's in a nondescript somewhat commercial area with plenty of parking out front - there's usually an RV that's used as a food truck parked to one side of the entrance. I love breweries like this - out-of-the-way, in atypical locations. I was staying in Brentwood starting out early and did a quick search to see if any breweries were open (I had little expectations as most breweries open in the afternoons) - one of my favorites, Living Waters was of course open as they also do amazing coffee - much to my surprise Curio Brewing popped up - I had tried a coffee stout previously from this brewery from a friend who brought a pack back to Atlanta and really I was already very close to Franklin so made a trip. It was early so most of the people there had just come out of a yoga session - I struck up a conversation with the taproom guy and started in trying their beers (I didn't try the coffee but it the aromas were amazing). * Trivia Sesh Session IPA 4/5 - Easy drinking citrusy IPA with a bit of haze, finishes dry and hoppy, very crushable. * Orange-U-Curios NEIPA 4/5 - Somewhat bright, crisp notes of tangerine in a dry hazy light body, nice amount of lacing - crushable hoppy, low bitterness finish. * Woke AF Coffee Stout 4/5 - Pretty decent coffee stout, more coffee bitter than I like but not too obnoxious, fair amount of roast malt, finishing full and creamy with good lacing. * Kilt the Cat Scottish Ale 4/5 - Competent Scots red with slightly sweet malty, earthy backbone and a fair amount of hops, English style bitter finish. * Light Bulb Kolsch 3.5/5 - On the brewers board it's listed as a "light American ale" which I think is a better description - it's light, more a cross between a session pale and a blonde. Neutral and crushable with low bitterness. In all I thought the beer above average and well made. The person behind the bar (not sure if he was an owner?) could describe the beers and processes used to brew, and was a pretty nice guy in general. The taproom is very family friended with what looked to be a little kids playroom towards one end. I hope to return at some point. read more

I had previously purchased a couple of their beers from a local liquor store, so getting them on tap was the main reason for heading in. I drank Kilt the Cat, a Scottish ale, and it was great! My wife had a coffee (can't remember the name of it), and she said it was amazing! They have plenty of space both inside and outside to relax and enjoy your beverage. There is usually a food truck out front as well. Good for kids too, should you want to take your little ones. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although we were there on a busy Saturday, we didn't have to wait long at all and the young lady behind the bar was awesome. I would definitely recommend checking them out. read more

Wow! This place has been so many breweries in the past, I am not sure where to start. First it was Turtle Anarchy (now in the Nations, but no taproom). Then it was Mantra (now near Murfreesboro on the way to Woodbury and called Hop Springs). Then it was a Mill Creek location (shut down when they almost went out of business). Now it is Curio. First, the location is nice. It is small and quaint. It sits in an industrial section of Franklin, so nothing else to see in the area from a food & beverage standpoint. Nice small bar. The beer is okay. No real standouts when I was there. And the , but nothing I would turn my nose up at (and there are breweries in Nashville that are pretty meh). The guest taps the first time were some of our most marginal beers, but they have improved the wall a bit with a couple of Diskin Ciders and sours. They are also a coffee roaster and do a fine job, with more reasonable prices than many shops around. For this reason, I might consider this more for coffee than beer. :D No food on prem, but that is not super unusual in the nano-brewery/micro-brewery business. Possibly on weekends, but I did not ask, so call ahead if you want food. You can bring stuff in, however (also typical of micros). They do have entertainment most nights. I have always enjoyed sitting at the bar here, through multiple iterations, and talking to the bartender (often one of the owners). In summary, average beer for the market (perhaps a step up if you focus on Franklin alone), better than average coffee, and a nice atmosphere. read more

Such a nice spot! It's kind of tucked back and out of the way which makes this Franklin brew spot a little quieter-- which is great for working remote! I have been in before for a beer, but came in to work today when the Factory got super busy! It was a rainy and kinda chilly day, so I order a Chai Latte. :) So tasty! Nothing particularly special about it, but so delicious! I love the modern decor and seating at this place! Such a nice vibe! I also learned that they hold Trivia nights here every Wednesday night! We found this place relaxed and uncrowded. The staff was friendly and knowlegable and I enjoyed chatting with a few of the other customers, all locals. My wife liked the cider and I tried 3 oz. samples of multiple beers Orange-U-Curious (Orange Hazy IPA), Kilt the Cat (the best Scottish Red Ale I have ever had), Barn Cat (an American Farmhouse IPA), Molly Moo (Milk Stout) and Woke AF (Nitro Coffee Milk Stout). I loved every one of them. I fot a coffee for the drive home, which was also great. My only regret is we were visiting from Northern California, so it will be a while before we can get back to Franklin to try more of Curio's excellent brews. read more

This is a cute place. They do yoga on Saturday mornings to draw people in and it seems like a good marketing tactic. I tried both the root beer on tap and one of the ciders. Both were tasty but the root beer was surprisingly good. My only suggestion would be to have more snack options, even if it is just simple things like crackers, granola bars, or cookies. read more
