Elroy is one of my favorite Franklin coffee shops. Huge bonus points that they have a drive thru! The coffee here is excellent. My favorites here are a Cortado or any of the seasonal lattes. It brightens my day to grab a coffee here. I also enjoy the tea which comes from the Nashville Tea Company. The dining area offers a variety of seating options including tables and couches. They have a little play area for kids. The Anzac Cookies and Sausage Roll are my favorite food items. The croissant and egg bites didn't excite me. We came early on a Friday and ordered two iced lattes to go - went with the Cinnamon Roll (whole) and one from their spring menu - Sunshine Coast Cuban (oat) - both were incredibly well done striking the perfect balance of espresso and syrup. Great (almost hidden) Jim just off Downs Boulevard in Franklin. Great coffee, small selection of local pastries, and a sandwich or two. I had the breakfast bacon wrap with egg, cheese, and thick, delicious bacon. Cheese added just a hint of creaminess to a this perfectly grilled wrap. Barbecue sauce was just a little too sweet for my taste. But all in all a great start for the day, along with freshly poured Ecuadorian coffee. Staff was exemplary... Helpful, courteous, engaging,. What a great find! We really enjoyed our visit to Elroy Coffee. The staff was very attentive and friendly, and helpful with all the details about the menu. The coffee and tea were excellent, and the food was very good too. They have a variety of gluten-free and dairy-free options available. My wife had the OG Avocado Smash on gluten-free bread, and it was excellent. I had the Breakfast BBQ Wrap, which was tasty and good. Interestingly, the eggs were slices of hard-boiled eggs, which actually added an nice texture to the wrap. While enjoying our beverages, I also noticed that the staff behind the counter was keeping themselves busy in between customers, cleaning and stocking and making sure everything was great. They clearly take pride in their work. Everything was clean and tidy and welcoming. The interior is really incredible, with lots of light, cute decor, and a variety of Australian products that suit their theme of bringing the best of Australia to Franklin. They also have a drive-through, which adds a nice convenient touch. The food portions were a little on the small side, but the prices were good for the size. But I felt that most of the items were more of a snack than a meal. But it was all very good, so I'll just order a bonus pastry next time I stop in. read more

Food was ok.. you can't alter in any way as it's pre made. My breakfast sandwich was a little dry. I had a chai tea latte and I wasn't crazy about it. It felt like it was watery and had a mix added. I could taste the dry mix as I sipped, even after trying to stir it better. I would definitely not order that again. Also, the room seemed very loud. Pretty extensive menu with several Australian imports available. Vegemite amongst them! I tried an herbal tea and their GF chocolate chip banana bread. Delicious, generous and definitely shareable. Very expensive coffee/food, rude staff, and unwelcoming atmosphere . I was super excited to try this place out and had found a table to set up and get some work done at. I wanted to wait a few minutes to order a drink so I had not gotten anything yet when an older woman came up and asked me if she could get me anything. I thanked her but said I was okay for the moment while I was getting all set up. She rudely and aggressively let me know that the tables were only for paying customers and that she wouldn't allow me to "sit and do work for hours" without buying something (almost every other table was open, as well...). The whole interaction made me so uncomfortable that I ended up leaving so I could support a coffee shop with friendly employees that care about their customers as people!! The owner was also there to witness the whole interaction from a nearby table and never said anything or apologized for the very rude and aggressive comment. I saw her go over to him after she scolded me for being there and they chatted for a minute, glancing over at me, which was SO uncomfortable and inappropriate. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere, like The Coffee House downtown Franklin, where the staff value their customers and you don't have to feel like an intruder for wanting to wait a few minutes to order. read more

Stopped here to check it out. Nice vibe inside. A little bit of a wait for our drink which was surprising considering there was only 1 order ahead of us. But the biggest shock was the size of the coffee. I ordered a "small vanilla latte." With tax it was about $5 which is what you'd pay at Starbucks. Then, when they finally called our name and I got the coffee - I was stunned. Their small is really small! It only holds 8 oz. of liquid. That cup should only be used for espressos!
