The Farm is an easy way to spend 2-3 hours outside. The admission rate has increased since the renovation. You can purchase bags of food for the animals. Came here on a Tuesday. We have a 6, 5 and 1 year old who all thoroughly loved it! Lots to see, we enjoyed seeing all the animals and being able to pet them too. The playground was fun for the kids. My 5 year old was so excited to ride a pony. read more

We are Thanksgiving Point members and love the area, but Farm Country leaves much to be desired. It is run down and dirty, and when we visited in the Spring, there was mud everywhere. The animal enclosures are small and just bare patches of dirt that don't provide much comfort for the farm animals. We got the Thanksgiving Point pass this year and have been loving being able to spend an hour or so visiting here! My kids are 2 yrs & 3.5 yrs and they love riding the ponies and walking around seeing all the animals; chickens, cows, pigs, geese, ducks, goats. They have a small area inside that has a few small things to play with; I would think that only kids 5 & younger would be interested in that area. They also have a "hayride" that goes in a little circle around the farm area. They have seat areas sectioned off to meet the COVID-19 restrictions so there are only about 3-4 families that go on the drive at a time which is nice because you don't feel crowded. It would be awesome if they added a slide or some more interactive activities to this section, but the main draw for this area is seeing the animals. read more

Their new preschool field trip polices are so frustrating! They no longer allow any preschool field trips to any of their venues from March to May. They left us one week in August and September. Who wants to do a field trip the farm in the winter? So annoying! read more

My kids like coming here and seeing the animals. They love the Pony Ride and the hay ride. Right now it's cold and a lot of it is outside so we have to make sure the kids are bundled. It's a good place that is close for the kids to get out some of the wiggles. They also do a good job with trying to keep people apart. They also have a cow that you can milk at certain times throughout the day. I have never done that so I passed. It's a fun part of the Thanksgiving point membership. read more

We went here with some family Tuesday night, you have to reserve your tickets online beforehand for the selected time if you go on their Super $3 Tuesdays. We parked on the south side of the red barn that's right east of the farm country, there were plenty of spots. I noticed that there was plenty of parking north of the farm country in the dirt where they do Cornbellies or even at the Holden Glass blowing studio as well which might be closer. I usually buy $1 popcorn to snack on but we had popcorn earlier so I didn't bother buying more. You can also purchase animal feed bags for $1 at the front desk. We got 2 which I think was plenty since not all of my 3 kids like feeding the animals out of their hands but all of them enjoy me feeding the animals to get a closer look. I was surprised my 3 year old was too scared to feed the animals out of his hand but one of my 1.5 year olds was brave enough to feed the sheep and alpaca with her hand. It's a fun experience to walk around seeing the different farm animals. They also had some adorable baby pigs! My kids enjoyed the playroom on the far west side that had toys and fake animals you can groom and feed. We always go for the tractor ride to see the horses and ponies out in the fields. It started raining pretty good so we skipped over the animals on the north side. My kids also weren't interested in doing a pony ride so we just ended up going home. You do get one free pony ride with each child ticket purchased. The line was too long for me to try and convince my 3 year old to give it a try. read more

This is the cheapest of the Thanksgiving Point attractions, but for the price, it makes a decent afternoon out of the house. The pony ride is a good length of a ride, which means the line moves a little slow, but it does hold 6 riders at a time. They have duck feeding, goats, donkey, cows, ponies chickens, and other animals to see and pet. There is a carriage ride that takes you around the farm country property and a small play area for kids. So, it happened that I purchased a membership to the Thanksgiving Point museums. And with that membership, the farm was included. Because I am a regular at TP it has now become worthwhile visiting the farm. Also, because I've been going in the early morning hours when it's less crowded the farm is much more enjoyable as well. Honestly if you have a TP membership this place is perfect. It's small but a great way to spend a few hours. The animals are so cute and I hear its pretty empty most days. You guys need to invest in a better drainage system in the larger animal pens! Front part of pens were literally a sewerage pit - at least a foot high. Disgusting. Around where the goats, llama and turkeys are is absolutely squalid conditions. I know you had rain this week, but it is no excuse! It wouldn't be that difficult to solve this problem. Even the horse pens are covered in knee high mud! I understand large animals pens smell. I am complaining about the animal sewage and rain water that is mixing and sitting stagnant in the pens, and is not draining. Its even overflowing onto pathway where your customers walk. I watched Dora the little pony for a good 20 minutes while waiting in line. Why not retire her and let her live her life out grazing in the fields! She obviously hates her job and its quite dangerous to put a little one on her. Overall it's a cute, fun place for little kids. Animals are friendly and sweet. Just wish they'd invest in a better drainage system for when it rains and everything bogs. read more

We love farm country! We have a membership to Thanksgiving Point so we go often. When you first walk into the building to pay there are a few small activities for the kids. I wish there were more. There is a small gift shop and my kids tend to go into there and ask for toys. I wish there were a few more engaging activities so they didn't go straight to the store. Luckily the people who work in there are always super nice and are understanding when my kids play with the stuff in there. Outside they have lots of great farm animals. The pens that the animals are in are a little small but they are always clean. The animals come right up to the gate so you can pet them. My kids always love the pony rides and the wagon ride. Those are included in your admission so make sure you take advantage of them if you go. Also there is a building down by where you wait for the wagon ride and if you go in there you will find lots of fun activities for the kids. There are some tunnels you can crawl through like you are an ant and a few other fun things the kids like. It's also a good place to go sit if it's too hot or too cold outside. We usually spend about an hour and a half there. It is a fun quick thing to do to get you out of the house. read more

Our kids had a great time! Though I'd like to see the farm provide better living situations for the animals. Would love to see a solid floor with pine shavings for the chicks and ducklings rather than wire mesh. Also the area where children can pet the chicks, needs to be monitored. This is an expensive waste of time. We thought we were going to a real farm, but it was like some suburban idea of what a farm should be- for people who have no idea because they never leave the city. Our three year old daughter wanted to meet some farm animals, so we drove down from Ogden to spend the day based on what we saw on their website. All the animals were trapped in pens and cages and you couldn't interact with them other than to stick a finger through a cage or two. The "hayride" was more like a tractor pull- no hay, and it rides around a parking lot and some dumpsters before heading back. We have been to REAL farms and thought this was one, but it was a complete waste of our time, our gas and our money. We were thought there in about 45 minutes and paid $30 for our family thinking we'd make a day of it. We will *never* go back and would never recommend this to anyone as a legitimate farm of any kind. If you've ever been to a REAL working farm, you'd know that the animals aren't trapped in cages, you feed them real food and not pellets and you can walk around the farm, learn things, do hands on activities and spend the day. This was just awful and the waste of money was ridiculous. read more

I took my children to the petting zoo today, and while my 4 year old daughter was standing next to the horse pasture, one of the horses abruptly reached his head through the fence rails, clamped the side of her neck with his teeth, and pulled her entire body forward and headfirst into the feeding trough. She (and I) were both understandably traumatized, and the staff was completely dismissive, as if she'd been nipped by a chicken instead of some scene from Jurassic Park World. I am livid about how they handled this incident, and they didn't even send an employee to remove the horse so this doesn't happen to another child. My daughter was lucky today and will recover physically, although I suspect she'll be terrified of horses for a long time. But slightly different placement of the horses jaws and the horse could have ruptured her artery or even broken her neck. Thanksgiving Point should be ashamed of the way this was addressed (or wasn't) and this is most definitely not the last they'll hear from me. read more
