This is the best salon I have ever been to. Jocelyn, the owner is exceptional! She has highlighted, colored, cut, styled, done the Brazilian treatment and hair extentions for me and every service she has provided through the years has been exactly what I selected and then some. I am a customer for life. Jocelyn has original customers and now she is doing their grown children's hair and grandchildren's hair. Jocelyn has over 25 years at her shop and she and her shop are one of a kind. When you visit the shop every service offered is led by a warm and friendly person. Inside the shop you can get manicures & pedicures, hair treatments, get a protein smoothie while you wait and you can drop off your cleaning since there is a cleaners inside the shop. If you have never visited curl up and dye you need to give this salon a try. Its prices are more than fair and their fun and friendly attitudes are a joy to spend time around. I wanted to get my hair done I tried twice before I was actually take. serious and gave them my number the lady text me fridat night didn't respond until sunday bc I didn't get the notifications she responded back to me twice and then would only read it so I told her since she didnt respond I will find something else I didn't get a message back until Monday and it was her saying that she has weekend off and she spends it with her family I did not know this information she could have told me to wait until Monday but then again she's blaming me for not knowing her schedule thanks Gabby heard nothing but good things about this but get treated like this. Skip this one. Joselyn is the owner and stylist. She was on her cell phone the entire time, making personal plans. A friend had warned me about how the Stalinist was on the phone, the entire appointment; but I hoped I would have a different experience. I did not. She put my hair color on while having her cell phone on her shoulder, the ENTIRE time; and talking like she was at home. People she knew kept coming in and talking to her. She was unfriendly. She didn't cut my hair the way that I wanted. The color didn't color my roots. The highlights were brassy. I've been in twice and both times were the same; so I will not be going back. She is more concerned with her phone and people coming in to talk. She needs to pay attention to the person sitting in the chair. I was very uncomfortable. There was no professionalism, at all. The place is not very clean, either. You might want to skip this one. I'm new in town and had to learn the hard way. read more

Came here not to long ago to get my hair dyed from a red-ish, brown to a rose gold. Jocelyn, the owner of the place did my hair and said she had no problem doing that color. In the end, all i got were some horrible highlights with a harsh line around an inch from my root. She said she all of a sudden couldn't finish dying my hair that day. She charged me $85 and told me to come back when i wanted it finished. Both not only me but my aunt as well have both tried to get into contact with her and have had no luck. After having my hair fried at an ultra-expensive salon in San Antonio, Jocelyn gave me the best cut I'd had in years. When she gave me highlights they were so beautiful. Crappy service! Received a bad perm! Owners solution was to cut bottom 3inches that didn't get a curl or a wave! Hair was trimmed right after perm . Should have know the minute I walked in to walk out, first time there and last time ever! I'm big on reviews for any service I get, or things I buy online. You have been warned. read more

I was just here a few weeks ago, I called to make an appointment, Hope was the stylist I was booked with. She seemed friendly, and knowledgeable. Boy, was I wrong. I have medium length hair, probably half way down my back, I had damage to about half of it, due to over processing it, so I came in for a shorter hair cut, because there was no bringing my hair back. I showed her a picture of a long pixie, which was very doable with my hair. I've been a licensed cosmetologist for 12 years, so yes, I can say for a fact, this was a very achievable cut. I even went a far as explaining how my hair needed to be cut. No I wasn't micromanaging her, I was giving her the info on my hair, so she wouldn't screw it up. Once she started cutting, I knew it was gonna be bad. Her cutting technique is of someone straight into beauty school. Not even one who would have graduated beauty school. She cut my hair so bad, and so uneven, that even I couldn't "fix" her mistakes. She barely left anything to work with in the back. I specifically asked for an A Line (where the cut gets longer in the front) she either me, or didn't know what that was. Once she done hacking my hair off, she rough blow dried my hair. I asked if she could at least round brush it, and she tried for about 30 seconds. It was very appearant she had no clue what the hell she was doing. Once it was all said and done she charged me $30 for the service. Me freaking out and not wanting to cause a scene at the shop, I quickly paid and was out of there. As soon as I got in my car, I thoroughly inspected my hair, and that's when all hell broke loose. I called to speak to someone, anyone at that shop to explain what the heck just happened. And they put Hope on the phone....I explain everything to her, and she immediately gets defensive. She started to yell and insult me, they cut the conversation off by saying, "I'll just give you your money back, and you're no longer allowed to come here ever again!" Well like I said, here we are 3 weeks later, still have yet to get my money back. Guess I'll be calling up there later to figure out what the hell is going on. Word of advice, avoid this place like the plague. read more

This is where my wife went to have her disastrous "Fantastic Sam's" hair cut repaired. They were actually able to save much of her hair, which was amazing, considering what Fantastic Sam's left us with. We would definitely recommend this establishment. read more
