My hair stylist who has done my hair since I was a baby retired a few years, and I have searched high and low for someone who could match her energy. Alisha massively exceeded my expectations! I feel like a completely new person, and I am happy to report that I will be making the trip to Carson any time I need to get my hair done. I was able to find the exact shade of red I wanted, and Alisha talked about my different color options. There were snacks, drinks, and a hand massager for while I was under the hairdryer. Had done a search on a moms group to find someone who cuts little boys hair and came across Alisha's name. I reached out to her and it was pretty easy to set up an appointment. It was our first time in the salon and it's super cute interior and fun decorations. My son is 2.5 and doesn't listen well and has some issues with sensory. He actually went up to and hugged Alisha immediately after seeing her which made me feel like it was going to be easier getting the hair cut. I was wrong! My son threw a tantrum with screaming and crying through most of the appointment. Alisha tried to help with everything to calm him down. Eventually she had mini Oreos that worked well enough to cut his hair. She was very patient and totally worked with us. Despite him completely acting up during the appointment and not sitting well he got a cute hair cut! Outside of the tantrum I could tell it was a cool salon, and she certainly gives off good vibes as he immediately liked her. Will be back for future hair cuts! read more

Her prices are more than fair for her services, and I leave feeling beautiful after every visit. She is incredibly down to earth and funny, so we always have a great time while I'm there. I just love this salon. First thing you notice when you walk in, is how calming the environment is. The colors are cool, the layout is perfect and the details are just so! The proprietor Alisha, has been doing hair for a couple decades and her specialty is color correction - although I've seen some of her art and she is BRILLIANT when it comes to bright colors and brave hairstyles! I got an appointment right away and she was ready for me upon arriving. I was offered a variety of refreshments and felt very welcomed. There was nothing at all pretentious about the environment, it felt warm there. She got to work on my hair and had other clients waiting their turn, this shop owner is obviously loved by many. We stripped some old box dye out of my hair and are taking our time getting it back to a straight blonde so that she can build more bold colors in there (I like to change my hair color frequently). Then again I was going to places that did not take their time that overbooked etc. etc. Today was a breath of fresh air with Amanda first who did a great spa pedicure and then with Genevieve one of the owners. She offered me a glass of wine, took her time sculpting my nails. No artificial tips, my nails were completely sculpted and beautifully so. Adding pictures, I decided on this design last minute and Genevieve knew exactly what I wanted and ran with it. Then I found Curl Up 'N Dye and Alisha was able to fix the problem and helped me get back to a hair style I absolutely love. I've now had several appointments and am so thrilled to have found a stylist that works wonders with my hair every time. And I never leave feeling like I need go home and "style it my way" (as I have often felt with many other places). I always feel like the best version of me when I walk out of the salon. I HONESTLY do not even know how to begin this review, seeing how I posted a very detailed one on this extremely unprofessional woman's Facebook business page and she straight ATTACKED me in a very personal way, feeling the need to mention that I am a single mom with 3 kids? Feel free to head on over to her salons business page to read what you can, she reported me to Facebook for "bullying and harassment" and had my profile put in Facebook jail for speaking the literal truth. I am attaching photos, she completely and also with no remorse, botched my hair. I wanted SILVER, which I most definitely expressed to her the first time she did my hair. At that point she did full blonde highlights to lighten what I had. Mind you, I just had a baby 3 weeks before I went to her, so my hair was very healthy during my pregnancy. The first photo is after I left when she did full blonde highlights, I was very happy with the results. And she actually said "I can do the silver today if you want, you're light enough." And I said "no, I'm good with being blonde until my next appointment." I went back to her two months later and...well...she bleached the crap out of my hair with straight bleach and then decided to throw whatever color she felt like she wanted to instead of toning it and applying the light silver that I wanted. My hair was BLUE. Like BLUE BLUE. I was extremely embarrassed and self conscious and when I asked her to fix it she responded in the most unprofessional way possible. I had to pay an actual professional to fix it and I was SO happy I literally wanted to cry. This is literally the most unprofessional woman I have ever dealt with.
