After having my second baby, my hair went through a bit of a crazy phase. I was pretty nervous to have a new stylist cut and color it. But now, I feel like my hair has never looked better! Based on their ratings and "after" pictures on their website, I decided to make an appointment for a consultation and cut with Toya (there was a thumbnail photo of her on the website and I loved her hair so figured she was the stylist I wanted to go with!). It was a great decision! I arrived for my appointment and everyone in the salon greeted me with genuine warmth, and Toya was/is particularly amazing. She showed me to her chair and we had a discussion about my hair journey and goals as she gently finger combed out my hair. She talked to me at length about hair routines, products, and care. Based on my hair length, she recommended a cut and began cutting my hair. After the cut, she sectioned my hair and applied water and a mousse or some such styling product to my hair, working her way across my head quickly. When she turned me around to face the mirror, I couldn't have been more in love with my curls! I sat under a dryer for perhaps 20 minutes for the hair to set and was overwhelmingly pleased with the results! Toya and I spoke about follow up visits, I paid and left. Later that evening, I received an email from Toya with hair care tips and suggested products. She totally took care of me and I will absolutely continue going to her to guide me through this journey! How will you protect my edges? 2. How will you react when I tell you that they are too tight? 3. Do I have to buy my own hair? 4. Do you offer wash services? First, the way she answered the phone was so bright and cheerful. She answered all of my questions and luckily her afternoon appt canceled so I was in same day at 1 for senegalese twists. As I was walking through the door, her client before me was leaving. Her cheerful dispositipn on the phone is even better in person. Her spirit is just wonderful. She gave me a wash, blow dry (not on high heat!), trim, and after all of that a scalp massage. When I tell you I could have fallen asleep.... Her conversation was on point. Just enough convo but not too much. I let her work on my head and I watched tv. Let me touch on her skills. AMAZING!!! I said before that I like my edges. She expressed that she doesnt braid tight becaise she knows how it feels. All braiding stylists say that but Purity is the truth. She braids tight enough that they are secure but not so tight that there is tension everywhere, your head is inflamed, you need to pop all of the pills when you get home, and youre sleeping on your forehead for 2 weeks until they loosen. There was none of that. If one happened to cross that threshold she immediately took steps to make it better. Additionally, she checked in periodically to make sure I was all right. My braids are gorgeous! I love them so much! They are a little long for me but that's my fault, I didnt express the length I wanted. I was so excited and caught up in the scalp massage and conversation that I forgot to mention. This is definitely not her fault and I dont hold it against her. I need to give my hair a break from all of the manipulation so I am definitely going to visit Purity again and tell everyone I know. PS...she provided that hair.

I arrived at her immaculate salon at 9 am, and she completed my hair at under 6 hours. The whole experience with her was amazing. We had delightful conversation, and she is a master braider who didn't put any unnecessary stress or tension on my hair at all but achieved beautiful results. Look no further, go to Purity!

He has the magic touch. My hair would never last longer than a week when I went to other salons but my hair now lasts two plus weeks! When I leave style lab my hair is silky and light as a feather. I will continue to go here even though it's a hike for me because he specializes in natural hair and is really into good hair care. Sam his assistant is the best hair washer ever. He works it OUT.
