Jim has been spinning wrenches for a long long time and has forgot more about fixing bikes than most mechanics will ever learn. A key ingredient to Jim's success is that he is an avid rider and dirt bike racer. He is sympathetic to the needs of a rider / racer because he is one. (he's fast as hell too!) It's nice knowing that when you get your bike back from Jim, he's treated it as his own, checking all the nuts and bolts, using loctite and torque wrenchs, etc. etc. He is a crack shot diagnostics guy too. I've brought him "problems" that has left myself, my friends and other mechanics scratching their heads. I bring these problems to Jim and more times than not, he goes DIRECTLY to the problem and fixes them PRONTO. Ever work with a mechanic who basically has your bike hostage for weeks on end? Well, that isn't going to happen at Royko's. He turns them out QUICKLY, often the same or next day, depending on if you need parts or not. I can't over emphasize how good he is, he can fix ANY bike, faster, cheaper and better than anyone. PERIOD!

Read the following for more info: A couple months ago, I brought my brand new car to Dan at Chi-South Customs 25885 S Ridgeland Ave #4, Monee, IL 60449 to paint an Italian stripe on the front, fix one scratch on front drivers fender, and color match the silver trim around side windows and a couple other spots on car. Three weeks later I picked up my car and paid in full. The next day I called Dan since I saw several issues with the vehicle. We went over every part of what he did wrong on my car. He gave me $2000. back. Could still see scratch on fender, the stripe is wavy, bled into the black, a scratch out of the white by emblem that he didn't even take off to paint. Painted all silver trim on car with out taking it off and didn't prep correctly. Passenger side $2000 in damage, head light has a 3 in. scratch. Front grill that wasn't painted has a 2in. scratch and over spray on it. All rubber around windows has paint on it. Red, white, and green over spray on sunroof. Over spray on other parts of car and windows. Damaged the front clip and hood with out fixing lines and wet sanded and buffed only parts of it. Buffing compound in a lot of spots he didn't clean. Now I have over $10,000 in damage I have to put out now to get it fixed. Dan said his insurance won't take care of it and he has no money. I told him to at least make payments and no response. Sorry to say he's not a man of his word.

Price was reasonable and I was able to do guaranteed pickup and drop off on scheduled dates which was very helpful as I moved across the country and had very specific dates. I did feel pressured to book quickly in the beginning which only added to the stress of moving. My car was picked up and dropped off on time and without damage so I'm grateful for that. The biggest issue I had was the lack of communication from Montway to the dispatched carriers. My carrier was changed three times, which is fine and didn't bother me, but Montway did not effectively communicate these changes to all the carriers. I ended up getting calls from several different drivers on the day of pick up so it was very unclear who would actually be picking up my car. Overall, my experience was fine and the goal was achieved, but it could've been better.
