Ok ... So bad customer experience The guy working waited until 10AM on the nose to open despite 3 folks being in line. He sat there playing on his phone. His appearance was extremely unprofessional. Shirt unbuttoned to his mid chest. His shirt tucked in on his right side but not his left. The transaction.... I went for an exchange... the rate was .777 and I had a coupon for their website allegedly for 50% off the trans fee. He didn't give me the 50% discount I asked for $1000 converted. Mid transaction he told me he could only give me $1000 CAD. While he was counting I asked if he even had the coins $1 or $2. He said yes how much did I want :.. I asked if he had enough to do the $1000 exchange.... He said no ... I asked how much he had and he said he couldn't tell me... WTF He then said he had about $70 Canadian worth ... I said okay and he wanted to charge me another transaction fee. I declined and left ... because he's not sharp enough and didn't bother to offer them to me ... I needed to exchange US dollars to Euros and Egyptian pounds. I typically do not use the services provided by a kiosk business but was curious if CXI could exchange USD to EGP since I was having difficulty finding a business that would. My bank does not. Joe was patient as he explained why EGP was difficult to obtain, why large denominations were typically used, and his experiences when he traveled to Egypt. Joe's knowledge and professionalism was exceptional. Prior to making my transaction I was anxious about obtaining EGPs from a kiosk. Very convenient to have this currency exchange right in Montgomery Mall (second level, by Auntie Anne's) - DON'T FORGET TO CHECK IN ON YELP because this will waive your transaction fee! Rates are fairly reasonable, especially if say your bank won't exchange foreign currency back to USD. We have used Currency Exchange International to exchange our Euros to dollars - and let me tell you, make sure to check their website for hours (you can't make an appointment ahead of time). read more

I would give them 0 stars but it's not available. This store's hours are until 7pm but they do not serve you after 6pm. So they wasted an hour of my time and I did not get my currency converted. If you actually respected your customers, you would change your hours to end at 6pm. But you don't care about your customers, obviously. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience here. I ordered several currencies for a trip. Part of my order was for $1000 Vietnamese dong. At pick up they made a delivery mistake and only had delivered $100 for me. They gave me some extra from someone else's order but still not as much as I ordered. I asked that they get me an addition $500 worth of dong to complete my order. I had to come back another day to pick it up and they charged me the service fee again- even though it should only have been one transaction if theirs had the original Order correct. They screwed up not me but I was charged for their mistake. I would discourage others from doing business with this company- they made getting prepared for my trip more difficult and costly than necessary. read more

I reserved some euros for a trip I was about to take and when I got there was told that to use my credit card there would be a $27.54 fee to do so. When I made the online reservation there was nothing that I saw that told me there was a fee. Rather than running to the bank and back I ate the cost. What they did not tell me was that they were going to run my credit card as a cash advance and my credit card company charged me for a cash transaction of $28 AND the charged DAILY interest on that until it was paid off on my next card payment. That ended up costing me another $15 in interest. At not time was that disclosed to me either. Do not use this company. They do not tell you about these fees and to run the credit card as cash and not as credit as expect was just another kick in the pants. Go somewhere else where they treat you fairly and disclose everything they are doing! read more

It's convenient and painless. You can either call to place your order or go on their website and fill out the form. All the conversions are there. You can also state how many of what currency amount you need. After that you get notified in about a business day or two and it's ready for pick up. If you check in on yelp you get 50% exchange fee. (It's relatively cheap to begin with anyway, but anything helps!) In addition, KEEP YOUR RECEIPT! If you come back from your trip, you can exchange it back to USD for free without fees! Warning, you can't exchange coins. The only -1 is that I am visiting Mexico...I asked for like 85-90 in 20 peso and I only got like 20 of them...I do know that on the website they try to match up exactly how many of what you need and it's not guaranteed but 60 off is sort of...upsetting and underwhelming? This is the only exchange I know in the area, so it will be a hassle trying to exchange the bigger bills into smaller ones. In addition, it's difficult to gauge if the exchange rate is worth it when you can't compare it to other exchange companies. read more

Very easy, very seamless. I came here before going on a trip to Europe and was able to quickly convert USD to Euros, and get the same rate that my bank would have given me. This was my third tim using this kiosk at Montgomery Mall. There first time I was going to Thailand and needed Thai Baht; the next i was going to Brazil and needed Real; and finally I needed Euro for a a trip to Guadeloupe. For the first two trips I called and ordered my currency 4-5 days prior and they reserved it for me at the desk but this last trip I totally forgot to get currency until the day before my trip. They had plenty of Euro on hand and were professional over the phone and in person. The fees are annoying but they are convenient. read more

I was disappointed; when people travel, they typically take out enough local currency to last them...I didn't have $500 on me to exchange... However, I am guessing this was a temporary thing. This is a very professional exchange, with some of the best rates I've seen in a while - far better than anything you'll get at an airport. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the pricing is very transparent. They'll also waive the exchange fee if you bring your unspent bills back with your receipt!
