His appearance was extremely unprofessional. Shirt unbuttoned to his mid chest. His shirt tucked in on his right side but not his left. The transaction.... I went for an exchange... the rate was .777 and I had a coupon for their website allegedly for 50% off the trans fee. He didn't give me the 50% discount I asked for $1000 converted. Mid transaction he told me he could only give me $1000 CAD. While he was counting I asked if he even had the coins $1 or $2. He said yes how much did I want :.. I asked if he had enough to do the $1000 exchange.... He said no ... I asked how much he had and he said he couldn't tell me... WTF He then said he had about $70 Canadian worth ... I called and spoke to Mr. Yoon, the owner, a few times and went by his shop a few times when I was in the area, and he was kind and as helpful as possible during each interaction. He was easy to get a hold of over the phone as well and was in the store during the posted hours in which I visited. The only reason for my four-star review is that it was frustrating to hear that Mr. Yoon only had large bills to offer in the exchange, 500 pesos and nothing smaller. When I went by the store yesterday, he stated I could call and ask if he had small bills in and when I called today, he said he will not get them in at all... It would have saved me some time if he had told me this yesterday, but oh well. I will now worry about getting change while overseas... There are clearly posted signs in the store that credit cards are not accepted, but Mr. Yoon does take cash and checks (with ID). Oh, one thing I greatly appreciated is that I owed him $0.12 (which I didn't have), but he was kind enough to say I didn't have to worry about it! Since my exchange was less than $500, I paid only $5 for the transaction fee. FYI There is paid garage parking (under the building and across the street) and street parking near the store.
