Today, I received a phone call to come pick up my currency!! Requesting UAE currency, picking it up; OMG, I am on my way to a new adventure!! This is so surreal! Wait, let me back up. So, I applied for a job in the UAE this past January, interviewed in February in New York and accepted the position late February/March. I was initially told my start date would be mid-July or August. That date has been fluctuating back and forth. I am very unhappy with this place. At first I was impressed with how easy it was to order the money online and then how fast it arrived. But I actually never got to receive the money because it was never open when I tried to go. I do not live close by Arundel Mills mall so I really had to plan every part of my day around picking up the money because it's not like I can just stop by whenever. Tuesdays and Thursdays I work two jobs (one during the day and one in the evening) so I decided I'd leave my day job early on Tuesday and go get the money before I had to head to my night job (Arundel Mills is semi-on-the-way to my second job). When I got there at 5:10 PM after leaving my job early, driving through rush hour traffic, and then walking the entire length of the mall because I didn't know exactly where it was and I parked at the opposite end, there was a sign up saying someone would return at 5:30. I couldn't wait until 5:30 because I had to be at my other job and if I waited that long and then walked back to my car, I'd be late for work. I was really frustrated since I went out of my way to make time to pick up the money they ordered for me. The hours say they are open until 6 so I was really confused why they weren't. When I left, I called the store and left a message letting them know what had happened and how upset I was; I also informed them I'd be coming back on Thursday around the same time to get the cash and asked them to hold onto it until then for me. So again, on Thursday, I left my day job early and traffic was even worse this time. My drive from one job to the other is already 40 minutes but having to stop at Arundel Mills through traffic adds an extra 30 minutes to the commute. When I got to the mall, it was about 5:25 and I had a very small window of time before I had to rush off to work. I was able to park in the right area this time since I knew where it was but the parking lot was packed and I had to find a spot and then pretty much run to the store because I didn't want to be late for my other job. When I finally got there, again there was a sign on the door saying someone would return at 5:40!! I honestly started crying. It was the last time I could go there because my trip was the next day and also I had just driven over an hour to get there. I also couldn't wait until 5:40 because that would cause me to be late for work. I am single and travelling alone and I don't have anyone else who could go to get the money for me either. So much of my very limited time was wasted trying to get this cash. I don't understand why the hours say they are open all day until 6PM when they obviously have weird windows of time where they aren't open. I completely understand that workers need breaks, but who takes a break 30 minutes before close? I know that it is not this company's fault that I work two jobs, that I live far away from the place, that there is traffic, that I only had a small window of time every day to be able to go get the cash, etc. But that window of time was within the open business hours and when you know you have an order there for someone AND that person got stood up a couple days before already AND that person even called to say when they'd be returning, then it is absolutely the fault of the company. I think that they are very unprofessional and clearly don't value and respect their customers' time. read more

The customer service is definitely lacking here. I visited the Arundel Mills location today and waited for some time behind someone whom I believed to be a customer completing a transaction. After a few minutes, it became clear that it wasn't a transaction but a casual conversation between a man and the woman working the kiosk. I was being ignored.   After the man left, I waited again as the employee completed a phone call. Once her call was complete, I waited to be acknowledged so that I could finally complete my transaction. I continued to stand by the kiosk until the employee looks up and stares at me. A bit confused by her demeanor, I asked if she was open for business. She nodded without a word.   The experience was so odd that I chose to walk away rather than transact with this business. This place was so convenient its unbelievable. I waited until the 11th hour to get currency for my vacation. I called but did not get an answer so I left a voicemail. The young Lady called me back about 10 minutes later and gave me all the information I needed. I told her I was looking around and would let her know if I decided to come there.
