I've had the Chicken Karahi and the Chicken Seekh Kabob Karah. They both have the same sauce but the Seekh Kabob version used ground, spiced, formed and grilled meat where the other had chunks of chicken meat. I liked them both. Their flavors are very strong, which I really like. The meat was tender and delicious. There are a few more items I'm excited to try like the Saag Palak so I think I'm going to have to try them again very soon!

Unfortunately, they didn't arrive until 7:01 PM...almost at the same time as our main course, just about 7 minutes apart. For our main dishes, we ordered the beef seekh kebab, beef karahi, and paya with naans. Unfortunately, all of the dishes were a bit too salty, and the portions also seemed slightly smaller than what we remember from previous visits. We also ordered a mango lassi, which unfortunately never made it to our table. Another thing we noticed was the lack of attentive service. No one really checked on us during the meal to see if we needed anything, which made the overall dining experience feel a little less welcoming. Overall, it was an okay experience, but not one that has me particularly excited for our next visit. That said, I'll definitely be back because my parents still love the place...hopefully, the food and service improve by then!

For years I'd just stop in and grab my go to: chicken tikka wrap. Epic sandwich, if you ask me. But then I tried the masalas, kabobs, and karahis... come to find out, it's all freaking amazing. Things can get a bit busy, especially during Ramadan, but this quality at these prices? It's so worth an occasional wait. The family and their friends who run this place are all heavily invested in the community and I just love their friendly hospitality.

The benches don't properly fit the table sizes, and the table wobbled, which was odd because it was a newer table with a heavy base. The wood worker who did the trim work had no skills at all, very bad cuts and gaps. When we got our food things greatly improved. The lamb kabobs I ordered were the best I've ever had. The rice was very good. Plus they gave us a big side plate of veggies with the meal. Unfortunately it felt as if this place won't last. They only had 1 to go customer the whole time we were there. The menu has so much variety beyond the usual Indian dishes, and everything we've tried has been packed with flavor. The biryani is especially good--really aromatic, perfectly seasoned, and a huge portion. Their curries are rich and flavorful, the naan is fresh and goes perfectly with them, and the appetizers are some of the best part of the menu. I also love that they have so many different options, from traditional curries and tandoori dishes to things like Chicken 555, Karampodi dishes, Indo-Chinese food, paneer dishes, and Kati rolls. You can come back multiple times and order something completely different. The portions are generous, the food tastes fresh, and they don't hold back on the spices and flavor. A pesky fly was our bothersome attendant throughout our visit. The table cloths at the table we were seated at were a bit soiled and didn't look freshly laundered. We placed our dinner orders with a less than friendly server who seemed to have a hard time understanding our requests. I ordered an eggplant dish in which the eggplant was undercooked while my wife ordered lamb saag and my mother a lamb Korma dish that she ordered to be served mild. On both of these dishes the lamb was quite tough and grissley and the spice was a bit stronger than desired. I on the other hand had ordered medium spice on the eggplant and it was not spicy at all. The garlic naan we ordered was flavorful and the papadam was crisp and tasty. But the main dishes were lacking in flavor and complexity and the smoky smell in the air and the lack of air conditioning made it quite unpleasant inside. Overall it was the least pleasant Indian dinner I've had since we went to a place in London at which the staff shared the same sour attitude and the food was below par. Sadly we won't be back to Tandoor even though it is conveniently located in an area where we often dine.
