As a long time patron of the Kathmandu, I haven't been to eat there for a while. They have a new bar area with full service drinks and specialty cocktails with an Indian flair. And it looks like they'll soon have outdoor dining in the north side of the restaurant. The lunch buffet really hit the spot today. Since it is Tuesday, they serve their steamed dumplings which were quite tasty. I also had coconut korma, chickpea masala, Saag paneer, butter chicken, curry chicken and chicken tandoor. Lots of food for the money and all were tasty. Finished it off with a small bowl of rice pudding and a little mango pudding on top. Plenty of parking and a talkative and pleasant owner manager who is always very friendly. The interior is nice and they use cloth napkins, even for the buffet lunch. read more

It was okay, just nothing I'd crave. Enjoyed: veggie samosas, especially the tamarind sauce. The chicken momos- these had a satisfying blend of seasonings and a mild spiciness. The dim lighting/calm atmosphere. Excellent variety, including plenty of vegan/DF options- anyone could find something to eat here. Could improve: aloo tikki was extremely dry/bland. The servers were indifferent, not forthcoming with info about the menu, and they were somehow out of every dessert option at 6 pm on a Saturday. My boyfriend and I love this place. We literally eat here almost once a week. We've tried a lot of other Indian restaurants in the valley but none compare to the flavor here. The waiters are always nice and bring us extra rice when we ask. The inside is reminiscent of the culture which is cool to see. This is a pretty casual place too so it makes it easy to go and have a nice sit down meal any day! Also very affordable compared to some places in our opinion. Unfortunately, this place has poor service that heavily impacts the dining experience. We came here for lunch on a Friday, and we were the only people in there for a while. When we sat down, the booth was dirty (see pic). Throughout the meal, my water and Diet Coke were left empty. We were never checked on. I had to get up and find a server to ask for a water refill because my party and I were thirsty and realized no one was coming to check on us. The food is tasty! However, some of the buffet dishes were lukewarm. I will go here again because I want to see if they were perhaps having an off day, but today's experience was disappointing. read more

This is my go-to for delicious Indian and Nepalese food. I've thoroughly enjoyed every meal I've had here! I always start off with their veggie momo - it's the tastiest little dumpling of deliciousness with a wonderful dipping sauce. It comes with 10 momo and is a perfect appetizer to share. As a creature of habit, I always get their saag paneer. It's a delicious blend of spinach, onions, paneer, and seasonings. All of their dishes come with a side of rice, and it's a huge portion of rice - I always have leftovers. They have regular naan, garlic naan, and cheese naan. I would recommend upgrading to the cheese naan, it's SO good! The service here is quick and the dishes come out fast and fresh. I've had a great experience every time I've come, and I always look forward to coming back. read more

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! We had been craving some Indian cuisine for a while and this hit the spot. The service was really good. The staff were friendly and had good recommendations of the menu. Mango lassi was delicious. It had a good mango flavor but not overly sweet. Ordered some lamb samosas the two sauces that come with it pairs really well with it. Chicken tikka masala is always a classic go to. Very creamy and I got medium for the spice level and it had a good kick. We also got the chicken coconut korma that the waiter recommended and it was delicious. The appetizer itself was pretty bad, which is weird because last time I ordered it, it was good, this time it had considerably less flavor. The spicy level I got was 5 it was a really good spice level for people who love spicy food! The chicken pieces were really big. The naan was naan I haven't had before, it was more like flatbread. Ordered on door dash. Worst Indian food I have had. Not sure if it's because I ordered at almost 10 pm - but ordered chicken tikka - the veggies were completely raw. Like not cooked at all. The chicken tikka masala tasted like it had been completely watered down. It was edible - but definitely not worth $60 for 2 entrees. Worst Indian food I have ever had by far. Would never order from this place again. Obviously the people that made it did not care at all - or they wouldn't put raw onion, celery, and tomato on a plate. This restaurant looks like it has been here for quite awhile. It is quite dark inside with tons of old pictures and things hanging on the walls. I wonder how often they dust around all of the pictures frequently. The food was just OK. If you are not into Indian food, or do not like Indian cooking, this buffet may be the best place for you. There are not too many choices and many standard Indian dishes, which were lacking in spices. There are a lot of large tables in the middle of the restaurant, where bigger parties can sit, or smaller parties can sit closer to others. The people who work here were very nice, but after trying their food at the Indian Food Fair in the summer at Liberty Park, and then again at this location, it is not my most favorite place for Indian in the valley. read more

Delicious, fun ambiance not too expensive, or too long a wait. Yelped this restaurant wanting a good curry or Masala, stumbled on this restaurant. Glad we did. The garlic naan was good. We tried the coconut naan which is made with coconut milk, and is slightly sweet. Both were good. We had the chicken tikka, chicken masala, chicken coconut korma. All three were great. While we were there we saw at least 40 orders picked up, (lots of door dash!) (Sorry for the lack of a photo, the one I took blurry) One side note, one bathroom out of order, and the remaining wasn't particularly clean. read more

I've been looking for lamb all over the city and I finally find it! The lamb momo tasted so good! It have a little juice and oil inside, they put lamb with cilantro which is my favorite way to eat lamb. There curry is also great, it has so many lambs inside the curry and totally worth it! However, the restroom environment is poor and the service is average so I only give 4 star. But this place is gonna be your favorite if you don't need to use the restroom lol. read more
